Honestly after this episode, we gotta respect fodder for living & struggling in this crazy world. It's disrespectful to call them that anymore! 😂Also. After the legendary Gear 5 Skypiea payoff made me feel it, this episode does wonders to make Luffy & Straw Hats feel like myth/legend even more so than they already are... Peakest of all peak fiction! And seeing the scale of OP events through regular person POV is insane. Makes it all feel so grand!
This episode truly highlight how freakish and monstrous luffy, the other DF users, and the characters we've encountered so far are. When you are a regular dude, it's like witnessing the battle of the gods. This also makes koby's speech during the marineford arc hits harder. The world of One Piece is truly vast and contained many stories. i hope we'll be seeing more spin-off like this in the future, The tales of regular people in the monstrous world of One Piece.

Also im more impressed that shows like AOT and FMAB are so high with that many reviews given when things get that popular their bound to get in the hands of people it's just not for. IMO one piece has an easier time as those who make it to 1000 eps aint leaving super low scores most likely and others who'd low ball it wont even start it. Entry series like cowboy bebop or edge runners where you can finish it in a weekend wow they deal with it (death not too) given there not for everyone. Frieren on paper isnt my favorite but i do see why its so high it sorta can appeal to almost everyone. It's not too fanservice like for the prudes, not too violent for those scared of violence, not too long, not long fights, well animated, familiar, not complicated powers, older cast, and simple unless you look for the subtext and relatable to older people.

An interesting project to animate for the anime’s 25th anniversary which is based on One Piece novel Straw Hat Stories written by Tomohito Ohsaki where it focuses on a person in the world as they learn about 1 of the Straw Hats, but this takes a few of them (Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Chopper, & Franky) & merge them together taking place at the Return to Sabaody

This letter actually from Oda to All One Piece Fan. The Fan made the One Piece keep going with their journey. and that little girl represent Oda feelings. He is in tears when see One Piece project still on going until this day because of the Fan behind it.
I remember when I was younger I used to argue a lot with people who would talk trash about One Piece, mainly people criticizing the animation without knowing absolutely anything about it. They never even gave it a chance. Now in my 30's, every time I see someone hate on One Piece, I feel and reminiscine about Luffy and Zoro in that bar with Bellamy... It's pointless and worthless arguing about it now. I just feel bad for people who will never experience this masterpiece. Oh well. I've now ventured away from anime/manga and just keep to One Piece because it's the only story that is on-going and growing up with me as an adult. Naruto and Bleach were over too quickly and they never really inspired anything in me (hell, even Bleach was better than Naturo). I just enjoy the ride now. One Piece is truly goated.

I understand what Mel means by saying that one piece doesn't miss. Yeah, it's obvious the episodes can be hit or miss because it's actual production for a weekly anime - but instead, it's THE feeling you get when you watch episodes like these. It makes up for everything you feel up until then-it feels worth it. I came home after doing some errands, having a long week at work, and doing some stuff outside to watch this episode, and everything just went away, and I could only really feel the emotions of the episode. It just made me so happy. We are the fans of this episode - we saw the cameos and were like, omg! And the fans in the episode don't even have names, so you can relate to them all you want. They wanted to see the Straw Hats because they're the straw hats. I cried like a bitch - all 3 things are true in my life. Taxes, Death, and One Piece are my favorite art medium.

I loved this so much! I think my favorite was the older Marine brother. I loved that his love of Luffy was so personal. I loved the girl too. I loved that we never got a clear shot of the Straw Hats, except for that one fan of Brook’s but she’s a fan of Brook the singer, not Brook the pirate and she wouldn’t connect to who Chopper is.

I loved this so much! I think my favorite was the older Marine brother. I loved that his love of Luffy was so personal. I loved the girl too. I loved that we never got a clear shot of the Straw Hats, except for that one fan of Brook’s but she’s a fan of Brook the singer, not Brook the pirate and she wouldn’t connect to who Chopper is.

It goes to show when the straw hats separated in sabaody the first time there was a long break before the knew animation brought them back and now we are experiencing that same feeling again of what’s gonna happen to the straw hats now that the world government wants them gone once more 😂
