One of the most difficult approach in Europe :) all manual and visual flying… very similar to Madeira approach The runway in Samos is 2000m long, it means that there is no margin to do a smooth landing and take your time on touchdown, you will have to touch down within the runway marks, so it makes the landing a bit bumpy because of this, the approach path (short turn just before touch down) and winds
This was not a hard landing on Samos. Just ordinary. Samos Airport is very difficult to land on, because of turbulence from the mountains. Nothing broke on the airplane= ordinary landing! Landed there myself 46 times and counting.....
I am an X-Plane 11 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 pilot and I have landed at Samos once at night. It was my first ever landing at Samos and it was at night. The stress and focus were very intense but I managed to land with decent rate of around -400fpm after which I bounced off of the ground for like 2 seconds before my main landing gear touched down again. I remember applying full reverses and full manual brakes. Based off of this I can’t say anything else other than that these pilots did a great job. If you are real pilot (unlike me) then I owe you respect as well.

Pilot Flying chasing touch down zone. It's good landing.
Ik was toen ook aan boord. Was inderdaad een harde landing
I own a RUclips channel that talks about aviation. Could I use some portions of this video on my channel with proper credit to yours? Thank you.
Yes you can! Looking forward to your video. Good luck with it
