Tom needed to break away and do what he needed to do, he had so much he wanted beyond blink. We saw glimpses of it more here and there in untitled/ neighborhood's, but AVA allowed to more creative control. I think that's why California sounded more like a return to TOYPAJ/enema, Mark went back to that sound with more humor and joke songs after tom left. I could be wrong, but that's how ive thought of it.

did you slow marks voice down just a tad bit? the “ 16 just held such better days” part sounds really really good in this it almost sounds like you slowed his voice down. 2:01 to 2:15 is pure gold. i wanna hear just that part turned into a catchy edm song.
