Great sound, and loved the flipped harmonies on the melody (usually trumpet / sax). Wish the horns had more solo space to themselves. Tenor player gets a bit buried in the mix but he's got a good harmonic awareness. Trombone player has definitely been listening to Bill Watrous. I suppose 'jaunty' would characterize the sound best. Rhythm section is crisp and on task - with pointilistic stickwork from the drummer - but even as a piano player I agree with the French-language commenter who wrote earlier that the pianist takes the lion's share of the solo space. Not that he isn't a fine player, but the horns have some good ideas as well. Overall, a terrific cut for a classic tune.
Like it very much and sharing.
