Yeah. A good friend of mine has a 675lt... A towing company scraped it really bad when loading it onto a truck, completely messing up the front. The bumper and front splitter are all one part so the whole thing needed to be replaced. A new bumper from mclaren was $80,000... Luckily it was the towing company’s fault.

His strategy with this car was exactly correct - make it the way the Movie wanted to depict it.
And it’s a lot cheaper to do it that way then getting it back factory perfect it woulda costed a fortune and a complete waste he would of never not the money out of it that he put into it

The last car I built was nothing like this just a supercharged 75 T/A. When I sat down and totalled up the cost I had over 10K in under $50 items. Nuts bolts screws paint sandpaper window sealant clips and other little items. For a build like this I am willing to bet the little stuff added another 20 to 30k.

I would be curious how much time he put into managing the project, sourcing parts, finding vendors willing to make deals it must have been a full time job.

In Guadalajara Mexico they have a shop that has show in discovery channel in Spanish that make exact replicas its called Mexicanicos they do exactly replicas for like 30k usd so for that expensive bumper so next time check them out you can get hand made fiber glass parts for any car these guys are monster they make anything you want
Lol Martin Vaca does good muscle cars and other types but he FAILS on doing super cars like these! So no, don’t recommend them unless you want a car design like a bunch of little kids doodled.!

Fun fact: Tavarish lost his license plate some weeks ago because he used double sided tape to hold it to the bumper and he did it because he has 12k reasons to not drill the holes for the license plate holder 😂

Had Veilside carbon fiber over fenders on my mkiv supra almost 20 years ago. When i was trying to get the matching VS rear bumper SP Engineering out in cali tried to do the same thing to me about the Supra rear bumper. Luckily, VS made rear skirts that made the flares flow into the stock rear bumper. Glad to see Veilside is still busting heads for badass parts 2 decades later!!!

Tavarish: I don't know if I would do it again because it was an insanely stressful experience.
Also Tavarish: I just bought a wrecked McLaren 675LT that can't be taken to the dealership anymore, has sat for more than three years in a salvage yard, has parts made of unobtainium and nobody really wrenches on themselves.
I cant wait to see the new McLaren dare eh Tavarish!
