Depends on the ecu... But I usually always get everything reset first... If that still not solve it, you might have missed something while modifying the file... Thank you for watching!

So i managed to get a MPPS V16 Clone and Volta Software. But im a bit scared that the MPPS will brick my ECU? Did heard a few horror stories. My ECU is remapped before, im planning to buy a used ECU, read the remapped maps from my original ECU and just put it on the second one and modify it EGRoff DPFoff with Volta? I would do a EGRoff DPFoff at the place where i did the remap but they refused to do it. They had some legal problems before after they selled DPF/EGR Off Software .. I have OPCOM/Vauxcom and a GM MDI Clone (VXDIAG) so programming the Immo is not a problem for me. Car is a Vectra Z19DTH EDC16C9 (if i remember right, i think i dont have a C39 but i need to check witch one).
Hi There is always some risk involved... Make sure you use a battery maintainer... Yes, if the ECUs are same, you should be ok in read from one, and put it on the other one...

But Volta did also changed some other stuff which i dont know what these thinks are. I think it deleted some DTCs? i mean when i manage to get another ECU i can play with this stuff. Melissa Haughney Well, immo is slightly different... On the video we read and write the flash memory, immo is in the eeprom... So, you can do it through OBD, but you need a tool capable of reading the eeprom through the OBD... On Vauxhall, best is get the pin codes, reset and reprogram... Or, on the bench, copying the eeprom data... Hope that helps!
Hello.. i used mpps to delete egr. All good. However ive used kess v2 stage 1 remap and got a write error. Now ecu is blank car wont start. Do you know how to recover ecu. Or i screwed .. thanks man
If kess is still connecting, try again... If not, try recovery mode is available on that ecu... If not available, open the ecu and try with K-tag... all of that failed, yes, I guess another ecu is the way to go... 👍👍

I just remove one dpf with DPF Remover on EDC16C39, but 2 times already have fault codes related with dpf. This soft removed very well EGR, but with dpf have problem in my opinion. After that I read ( with MPPS 13) ECU fail from car and marking EDC16C9. After download file from ECU and car it is won't start engine. Can you help? Thanks

Hi It varies from car to car... some you leave everything connected, some you need to disconnect certain sensors... some you need to clear codes before the removal, some after... Each case can be slightly different... Thank you for watching!

Virulent Hi Thank you for watching! Ok, first were the injectors new or used? Just wondering if they were used, are you sure they were all in good conditions? Silly I know, but have to ask... Also, have you checked that the calibration factors have correctly accepted by the ECU? What was the initial problem which lead you to replace the injectors? Live data, have you looked at it?
thankyou kindly for your reply! The injectors were used unfortunately.. but i purchased four injectors and replaced only two. i have tried the remaining two and still have the same issue.. surely all four injectors cant be bad? the ticking stayed the same whatever injector i tried.. The reason i changed two injectors was because cylinder one and cylinder two were not functioning correctly in the deviation data. Cylinder one was -5mg/stroke and cylinder two was +5mg / stroke. i believe only injector two was the faulty one however.. The symptoms i was having was during driving the vehicle, on hard acceleration it sounded like the injectors jammed and clicked very loud intermittently.. and a puff of white smoke out of the back, then resumed normal driving. this gradually was getting worse as time went by. it only did it every 50 miles or so! also there was abnormal engine judder between 1000rpm and 1800rpm. the new injectors have cured the misfire issue and the judder. the vehicle runs spot on however i am left with the audible ticking which sounds like diesel knock. i was wondering if it is possible that the new injectors are functioning correctly and i have an issue with cylinder 3 and 4 now? because 1+2 were functioning incorrectly before it masked the problem with the other two cylinders. its driving me crazy. i dont want to go spending money on refurbished injectors unless i am sure that thats the issue. the only other suspect is that i have a broken rocker arm. as discussed by somebody i know. i have extensive mechanical knowledge and the vehicle is running too good for it to be that. it would run rough and it just doesnt. i really appreciate your help sir.
Virulent Ok... makes perfect sense... Two things, have you checked live data after the injectors being replaced? Another thing, have you checked that the correct injector codes have been stored in the ecu?
lmsvvavr yes I have looked at live data, all deviations are within +/- 1mg/stroke I have stored the new codes and cycled the ignition several times and re-read the codes and they have saved. I inputted the codes using Chinese opcom, will this be an issue? Thank you
Virulent Shouldn't be... that's why I asked if the correct coded are actually in the ecu... I had in the past were the procedure went successfully, but when looking again, the old codes would come up... You are not getting that... Have you checked cylinder compression? I know... but it might work checking it... Another thing is, is the high pressure regulation ok? No spikes or deeps?

Hello, when I plug my MPPS v16 in my saab 9-3 1.9tid it says i got 29volt down in the corner and when I try to read it gets to 1% and then I get an error telling me to get the logs and send them to someone... what would you try to do in my case? I got it installed in virtualbox win xp.

Hi friend i have Chevy Captiva Which Old ECM Burned due to alternator overcharge so i swapped my ecu .Now my ecu Showing P268A (INJECTOR not Calibrated or Coded) So If I sent you the file of ECU which is taken by KTAG so can you code the Injectors on it ECU Type (EDC16C39) and it's throttle also stuck on 94.9% I recently flashed another file to check any movement happens in throttle position yes I movement happened it comes on 54.9 % so I think may be problem in ecu file could u program for me I am from India .

winols checksum is very simple, you just load file and software tells you if chks need correcting, once corrected export file and write with tool, ecm titanium also good for editing and correcting checks.

@@LMAutoRepairs not sure whether to replace with a new oem dpf, im having p2453 issues sensor is fine but after regen oil change still service engine message and soot filter full messages and limp mode. i think volvo say 75k for consumable replacement of the dpf.. just a pain tbh to get to the next solution.
I have had two cars with DPF removals PASS at various garages, i.e. they still look like they are there. What is interesting though is that my car got an advisory for "emissions too clean!" without the DPF, and the emissions where 0.13 for a 0.50 rated car. Crazy! But yes it will PASS. The whole DPF is a stupid idea, they strangle the engine and cover people in sut when you accelerate hard, and to clear them you have to drive at 90mph in 2nd gear for 4 hours. Ohh and i'd like to add, I have a 1.9 CDTI Zafira and the fuel economy at 70MPH is 62MPG, If I drive like the manager of a mattress company I can achieve in the 70's MPG. Fuel economy vastly increases and the extra power from a remap can see a lot of high end cars off! My Zafira is in line with a Ford ST.

Does it turn regeneration off? I've heard that that those engines regenerate after 800 km even though you've deleted dpf.

The injectors were used unfortunately.. but i purchased four injectors and replaced only two.
i have tried the remaining two and still have the same issue.. surely all four injectors cant be bad? the ticking stayed the same whatever injector i tried..
The reason i changed two injectors was because cylinder one and cylinder two were not functioning correctly in the deviation data. Cylinder one was -5mg/stroke and cylinder two was +5mg / stroke. i believe only injector two was the faulty one however..
The symptoms i was having was during driving the vehicle, on hard acceleration it sounded like the injectors jammed and clicked very loud intermittently.. and a puff of white smoke out of the back, then resumed normal driving. this gradually was getting worse as time went by. it only did it every 50 miles or so! also there was abnormal engine judder between 1000rpm and 1800rpm.
the new injectors have cured the misfire issue and the judder. the vehicle runs spot on however i am left with the audible ticking which sounds like diesel knock. i was wondering if it is possible that the new injectors are functioning correctly and i have an issue with cylinder 3 and 4 now? because 1+2 were functioning incorrectly before it masked the problem with the other two cylinders. its driving me crazy. i dont want to go spending money on refurbished injectors unless i am sure that thats the issue.
the only other suspect is that i have a broken rocker arm. as discussed by somebody i know. i have extensive mechanical knowledge and the vehicle is running too good for it to be that. it would run rough and it just doesnt.

Two things, have you checked live data after the injectors being replaced?
Another thing, have you checked that the correct injector codes have been stored in the ecu?
lmsvvavr yes I have looked at live data, all deviations are within +/- 1mg/stroke
I have stored the new codes and cycled the ignition several times and re-read the codes and they have saved.
I inputted the codes using Chinese opcom, will this be an issue?

Shouldn't be... that's why I asked if the correct coded are actually in the ecu...
I had in the past were the procedure went successfully, but when looking again, the old codes would come up...

Have you checked cylinder compression?
I know... but it might work checking it...
Another thing is, is the high pressure regulation ok? No spikes or deeps?

Hello, when I plug my MPPS v16 in my saab 9-3 1.9tid it says i got 29volt down in the corner and when I try to read it gets to 1% and then I get an error telling me to get the logs and send them to someone... what would you try to do in my case? I got it installed in virtualbox win xp.
Using virtual machines for something like that, is asking for trouble...

It all depends on the driving conditions...
I have seen them failing at as early as 40k... in the other hand, I have seen them with over 120k and still going....

Hi friend i have Chevy Captiva Which Old ECM Burned due to alternator overcharge so i swapped my ecu .Now my ecu Showing P268A (INJECTOR not Calibrated or Coded) So If I sent you the file of ECU which is taken by KTAG so can you code the Injectors on it ECU Type (EDC16C39) and it's throttle also stuck on 94.9% I recently flashed another file to check any movement happens in throttle position yes I movement happened it comes on 54.9 % so I think may be problem in ecu file could u program for me I am from India .
If I removed dpf for delete and didn't map it what would happen
Most likely the engine light would come on, and the car would go into limp mode...

If you read and write the same file back, you are not removing anything, are you?
The maps for the DPF need to be removed from the file, prior to flash it back into the ECU...

winols checksum is very simple, you just load file and software tells you if chks need correcting, once corrected export file and write with tool, ecm titanium also good for editing and correcting checks.
Hello I am trying to remap my vectra 1.9cdti using the same mpps software as u I can id the ecu and take a copy of the ecu data I have a saved remap file on my laptop when I try and write the map to my ecu it says error

messages and limp mode. i think volvo say 75k for consumable replacement of the dpf.. just a pain tbh to get to the next solution.

If everything else is fine with the car, I would replace it... and you would be ok for another few years...
I have had two cars with DPF removals PASS at various garages, i.e. they still look like they are there. What is interesting though is that my car got an advisory for "emissions too clean!" without the DPF, and the emissions where 0.13 for a 0.50 rated car. Crazy! But yes it will PASS. The whole DPF is a stupid idea, they strangle the engine and cover people in sut when you accelerate hard, and to clear them you have to drive at 90mph in 2nd gear for 4 hours. Ohh and i'd like to add, I have a 1.9 CDTI Zafira and the fuel economy at 70MPH is 62MPG, If I drive like the manager of a mattress company I can achieve in the 70's MPG. Fuel economy vastly increases and the extra power from a remap can see a lot of high end cars off! My Zafira is in line with a Ford ST.

La lumière de bougies de préchauffage n'est pas seulement pour ce système, il peut également signifier un type ou un défaut électrique, dans ce cas était à faire avec les capteurs DPF manquants.
