Eternal Darkness will forever be one of the best games ever, plus the soundtrack is insanely amazing!! I am proud to say that I still own a GameCube and Eternal Darkness.

I found the Hard Mode in Obscure to be easy, BUT only because I used Ashley (she gets a lot more dmg with the guns etc. and monsters don't have more health on hard neither) and Josh (to find every item and ammo in the whole game). I saved grenades for the big monsters, saved every few hours and it was smooth sailing later on. But yeah, without using Ashley (who is op and kind of broken with her dmg increase), it's prolly a nightmare.
I remember playing a ps1 xfiles game but it was almost like the old point and click adventures. Had no 9dea what I was doing and it was terrifying haha
I've watched this guy's vids, it's fun to see Bawk's perspective. The smile he has hearing someone else talk about the pain that is martian gothic is hilarious

i always get kinda sad when i see reviews about eternal darkness. if eternal darkness was a multi console game for ps2, xbox and gc, im pretty sure it would have become a HUGE franchise, on par with resident evil and silent hill. eternal darkness was such a good game, it had so many neat and unique features. i really hope that we get a AAA remake of it a some point. i donno who has the rights to it at the moment, but you never know if something gets revived again. beyond good and evil was in the same kind of boat and got picked up again 20 years later.
yep, martian gothic is like a monkey island game with resident evil combat and atmosphere, I absolutely did not have the patients to figure out wacky obscure point click puzzles while having to manage health and ammo its just not fun

Are there half-truths in each of their statements? Or is this due to a discrepancy in timing (i.e. Bawk's video came out long after Avalanche's)? I am super curious! I feel like Siren and Siren 2 are both amazing games... to watch a longplay of. The gameplay, if you can even call it that, is so arbitrary it hurts the brain to try it yourself. And it's annoying as fuck. But the atmosphere, for me personally, is Asian horror perfection. And horror in general. Sucks that you have to tread through so much shit to get to the parts you might appreciate.
I fucking HATED Siren. Hate hate hated it. Still do. No instructions, hard as hell and unintuitive. Sure it's got a cult following now but renting it from blockbuster was one of my most regretted weekends. Terrible game.
What is up with the commentary in the video? The talking is so fast it sounds sped up and it also sounds like a weird text to speech voice. Had a hard time watching it cause the voice was annoying.

It would have been brilliant but the controls and camera angles make it completely unplayable 😔😔
I actually liked rule of rose, the combat is silent hill style, so it is objectively terrible but it kinda adds to the experience
