Idk I think Capcom has to eventually remake this game. I think it's so strange that they started with re2 tbh becuase now we're looking at a CVX and RE5 remake in the future but chris is a part of both of those games without a modern version of his first appearance. Not to mention we already have RE3 remake which introduced Jill partway through her story since her first appearance is also in RE1. I think modern re players need an re1 remake to put the whole story into context.
I wouldn't mind a remake. I think the original remake is amazing, but maybe plays a little slow, especially if you can't door skip. Having the option to go fixed camera like the older games or over the shoulder like the modern games would be great.
@@GoGoSqueezeWorksToonah they don't. remaking a game that was already remade is redundant, especially when this game is a timeless masterpiece. if some "modern re player" who's too used to pushing forward to win and can't get into it because of the lack of handholding, then it's their loss and they probably aren't into the series much in the first place. If they're really going to remake this game with the intention of fitting it in the new games and remake canon, they need to do something completely different. I'd be happy if they went the first person route tbh. Playing the same game as remake but dumbed down and in third person would be as sad as RE3 remake.

I played my first randomiser this week. It was RE1 BIORAND (1996 with HD packs). I played as Barry (because I intend on doing the adventures of Barr across 1, 2 and 3) and set enemies and items to random. I left the doors alone and save rooms, as well as tweaking the enemy rates as my first 5 tries would literally give me tyrants, hunters and BLACK F**KING TIGERS! with only a knife or handgun. It was a bit TOO random to manage. I found a nice sweet spot, although near the end there was a room with four tyrants just door camping and I had to kill two with a rocket (thank god I found and save it early).

This game still looks incredible. I hope they don't waste time remaking it again - this version is perfect.
