I love your burn and melts for the month! I recently moved into a 1927 condo! Built in 1927! My husband and I moved out of my dads place and purchased it back in September. It’s been a work in progress! But our back room the closet is huge! I’m the 1940’s the place was used as the barracks for the first naval seals here in fort pierce Florida. But the back closet had a Murphy bed in it! We’ll no bed anymore, but the built in shelving is still in it! So I store my candles and wax in there! I recently started burning a scent I’ve had for 12 years! I’ve kept it in a dark cool place for years! My most favorite scent that Yankee candle has made. “Fireside” when Yankee came out with their “mountain lodge” line. They also came out with a “fireside” scent. It’s from 2011. It smells just like the day I bought it! I’ve seen them on eBay ones that were never burnt go for 80$! I have wax melts of the scent too and votives! I use my votives like you! I take the wick out and then cut it in half and put it in my wax melter! Have you ever seen that scent from Yankee? It’s from 2011 and they had it for 2012. After 2012 they discontinued it! But it was a popular scent! Completely different smelling then the one from wood wick! Glad your doing well!
Congrats to you and your hubby on the new place. How exciting. I’m drooling over the description of your “new” wax closet. I barely recall the Fireside scent but I do remember all the mountain scents they came out with and then didn’t YC do a man’s line such as cut grass, bacon, grilling, etc? I remember those because they were on clearance many years ago.
I bought some of the newer melts with easy peel wrapper and I’m not impressed. Think I’ll stick to cutting the votives and melting those. I have a few older ones to work through in my stash.

At least the candles/wax you picked out all looks very pretty together...all pastels. My scents have been all over the place...I was going more "fresh", but we've had a few weeks of rather cold, rainy weather and at night I find myself throwing in more fall/winter scents....tonight I've got three things going: pumpkin latte, spiced pumpkin & patchouli, and gingerbread marshmallow, lol...but it smells amazing.
Ooohhhh I bet it does smell amazing in your house. I know you pick out fresh scents that seem to work for your nose. We had snow today but it smelled like the Copa Cabana in my house. I went out to the car and “You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch” popped out of my mouth.
Great picks for March! 😊 I didn’t know yankee had so many new candles, that key lime coconut donut sounds really good and like an interesting combination. I agree that it’s nice to use up a lot of what you have before adding more. I have a hard time with that 😂 but getting better at it. Have a great weekend!
I had to really take a step back and evaluate my wax stash. Some of it is over four years old and the throw is nearly non-existent. Now...LOL...when it comes to new YC and BBW candles well I just hand over my credit card. I have already lit YC Key Lime Coconut Donut. Wow, it throws well. Reminds me a little of Vanilla Lime.
@@Catnpaws hahah we have to make some exceptions and both of those stores are a good reason to hand over the credit card 😂 I’m about to hand over mine after seeing all the newness you shared from Yankee and checking out their site. That’s great the key lime candle is burning and throwing well, I’m going to have to try that one. I’ve been really impressed with Walmart candles this spring so far and the selection and performance…and the price lol. Hope you’re having a great week, always look forward to your videos.
