    What I love about this video compared to other formats of journalling is, despite the imperfections, there is such beauty in simply drawing little pictures and creating snapshots of moments we hold dear. I feel that in the future looking back, it makes it much easier for us to remember not only the memory, but the artwork's creation. I loved this video, thank you!

    • @Drewscape-art
      @Drewscape-art  17 дней назад +2

      Yes, both how we used to draw as well as the memories. Extra special :)

    This entire exercise will probably have multiple benefits for the creator who is making the journal. Not just to record little fun things to remember on a future rainy day (or for family members to cherish a long time from now), but I believe that putting down these images and words most likely helps the brain to focus and clear itself of any "cobwebs" or stress-inducing things that might be annoying it at that moment. So, basically, you are choosing to focus on the specific thoughts for the diary entry, focusing on the template, on the art work ... and it all can bring some semblance of peace and clarity, I reckon. Just a hunch on my part. It is a good idea.

      It's always a small debate in my head when colouring. Digital or natural. Digital is easier and give me more control. But I do get away with more thing with natural. And once the painting is over, the piece is pretty much complete. That's a nice feeling.

    I used to do that in a small notebook! Back at that time, I just thought that, I love taking photos, but sometimes I can’t. So instead, I just tried to remember the moment and drew that scene again. The best thing about this method is it makes remember the moment more, with more feelings, more thoughts in comparison to just taking photos

    How I do diary comics. And why.
    00:01 Введение и формат дневника
    • Автор начинает работу и напоминает себе замедлиться для записей в дневнике.
    • Использует комиксы для записей, иногда уделяя много времени их созданию, иногда делая быстро.
    • Дневник состоит из блоков: что сделал, что подумал, что сказал, что заставило улыбнуться, что ел.
    01:31 Начало работы и выбор ручки
    • Автор выбирает чистую страницу и ручку 1911.
    • Рисует простую рамку без линейки, предпочитая честную линию.
    • Начинает записывать, что делал недавно.
    03:02 Заголовок и описание разговора
    • Делает заголовок для записей, чтобы было понятнее.
    • Описывает недавний разговор, чтобы помочь читателю понять контекст.
    • Использует ручку для записи, чтобы быть увереннее и не задумываться.
    05:22 Добавление одежды и украшений
    • Добавляет одежду, так как рисует близко и нет места для фона.
    • Задумывается о написании слова "украшения".
    07:02 Сосредоточение на хорошем и еда
    • Панель помогает сосредоточиться на хорошем в стрессовых ситуациях.
    • Описывает, что заставило улыбнуться или почувствовать себя счастливым.
    • Добавляет крупный план еды, чтобы показать больше деталей.
    08:41 Раскрашивание и завершение
    • Раскрашивает акварелью, что рискованно, но быстрее.
    • Подчеркивает, что акварель помогает сосредоточиться на хорошем и быть благодарным.
    • Дневник помогает успокоиться и начать работу.

      Haha. I know the feeling. Seeing really amazing art by artists can be awe-inspiring, and also intimating. I sometimes wonder if I will get to be as good. But then I tell myself that art isn't about comparison. It's about doing what I love, finding meaning in that, being open to keep learning new things, doing my own thing. And usually when I'm doing that, I find that I've improved some more:)

      You can do it. Just jump right in. We learn with each comic we actually do:)

      @Drewscape-art it's a great idea. I will follow your advice. But main problem is my mind. How can l do it better? As result I do nothing

    • @Drewscape-art
      @Drewscape-art  Месяц назад

      Yes our minds are powerful. I usually just try it. Allow myself to fail but tell myself that the most important thing is that I learn with every attempt. So I aim to learn rather than aim for perfection.

      And it’s a good meaningful way to use up inks and paint. Thanks for sharing your experiences in Iceland. I’ve been there years ago. It’s a wonderous place.

    I love your template! I'm going to try this. By the way, I tried the idea in your previous video making random color shapes and then making characters from those...it didn't go well! 😅 I think something more reality-based like this idea would be better for me. We'll see. Thanks for sharing!

      Well done on trying! If you post it online, I wanna see it:) I suppose there are quite a few things to take note and balance when putting it together so it’s readable. It can get messed up pretty easily too. Kinda like juggling many things perhaps. But that’s what makes it fun too:) yes this one is more down-to-earth haha
