Thank you everyone! We hope you enjoy our new Wooly Wednesday format! Let us know your favorite takeaway was from this tutorial, and how you will decorate your wet felted candle holders! Comment below to be entered into our prize drawing for next week!
Favorite takeaway is that shrinkage is impeded by resistance and one must consider that especially in the choice of fiber…
I appreciated learning about the importance of directional rolling for this project
My "a-ha" moment was hearing you say "removing some of the water closes the space between the fibres". I always knew that getting rid of some water made it full faster, but I didn't know why.
😃
Me too!
Excited to see what Living Felt has in store for us in 2023 🥰
This was fun. Great birthday gifts
Love this project and there are so many different size options! Thanks,
Great tutorial! Thanks Marie
hello everyone from south carolina
I think it's a great project. You make me want to wet felt. 🙂
Me too! I make needle felted projects all the time. This video might give me a little 'break' once in a while.
So glad this can be re watched! This was perfect timing to add knowledge for an upcoming class I have planned!
This was a great tutorial! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
So pretty! ❤
This is so pretty 💕
Idk what is is about the pillar candle holder but it is so beautiful with that curly stranded wool!! If i had candles like those I would try this in a heartbeat!! Keep it coming ladies! Excited for another year of learning with you
Loved the tutorial.
Great project over a resist for a wet felt beginner. So many ways to dress it up. Love the short version and the Q&A where lots of questions can be addressed.
Marie, I'm still a novice felter having done 2D & 3B pieces and never had much interest in wet felting. I admire the beautiful work I see displayed by others with amazing shawls, pictures or purses. I wasn't going to watch today because it was wet felt and I wasn't interested. WAS I WRONG!. Watching you make the beautiful and simple vessel you might have created a monster. I think I may have to give this "wet felting" concept a try. If my old body holds out, this may be fun! Your tutorial was great. Thanks for being such a patient and detailed teacher.🥰
We can't wait to see yours, Terri! :)
I was intimidated by wet felting and wasn’t interested but once I tried it, I fell in love all over again
@@LivingFelt I'm putting the wet felt starter kit on my Wish List. I have a couple of commissions to finish before I spend more money. I'm looking forward to watching the next Wednesday tutorials to learn even more. Have a super week-end and thanks for your continued support.🤩
Would love to make one. Just received my wet felting kit a few days ago. Can't wait to get started. Thanks for the tutorial!!!

Can't wait to try this project!
So cool a little late to the group
I loved this video and have made a few since! I think they’re great. Wondering if the candle could be put in a little tea light holder or if the jar has to be large enough to cover the entire vessel’s interior?
Loved this tutorial! You make everything look so easy. I have all the supplies except the dowel!
Where do I find the worksheet please?
follow the supply link in description
Hi I would like to try making a round vessel. Where would you add extra wool for the base?
At bottom on both sides - think of it as a half circle on side a and half on side b.
@@LivingFelt thank you
I missed the live, what is a resist???? What material is that? Thank you
Is there any other materials we can use as a resist that we may have at home?
Resist is a material that prevents the 2 sides from felting together. Ours is a thin foam product that is reusable.
Do you have a link for the wood base lights you used?

@@LivingFelt thank you!!
Hi Creative women,
Help please!
I listen to your video: "Beginner Wet Felting over a Resist Tutorial - Hurricane Candle Holders"
I'm a beginner. When I looked how you make the resit: I don't understand how the "Resist Pattern" appear to be higher than wider.
The 7" are the bottle circumference, so it goes around the bottle and the bottle high is only the height of the bottle, isn't it?
Please, would you tell me where I'm lost?
Thank-you.
What is that water sprinkle bottle called?
ball brause
So is this prerecorded?
YES!
New this year is a new video every WED with some having a LIVE HANG after (like today)
Like the new format, but miss the fairies
They are on the live hang :)
I don’t understand the “handout” you mentioned…
