Favorite takeaway is that shrinkage is impeded by resistance and one must consider that especially in the choice of fiber…

My "a-ha" moment was hearing you say "removing some of the water closes the space between the fibres". I always knew that getting rid of some water made it full faster, but I didn't know why.

Marie, I'm still a novice felter having done 2D & 3B pieces and never had much interest in wet felting. I admire the beautiful work I see displayed by others with amazing shawls, pictures or purses. I wasn't going to watch today because it was wet felt and I wasn't interested. WAS I WRONG!. Watching you make the beautiful and simple vessel you might have created a monster. I think I may have to give this "wet felting" concept a try. If my old body holds out, this may be fun! Your tutorial was great. Thanks for being such a patient and detailed teacher.🥰

Resist is a material that prevents the 2 sides from felting together. Ours is a thin foam product that is reusable.

    Hi Creative women,
    Help please!
I listen to your video: "Beginner Wet Felting over a Resist Tutorial - Hurricane Candle Holders"
I'm a beginner. When I looked how you make the resit: I don't understand how the "Resist Pattern" appear to be higher than wider.
The 7" are the bottle circumference, so it goes around the bottle and the bottle high is only the height of the bottle, isn't it?
Please, would you tell me where I'm lost?
    Thank-you.
