I’ve said this ever since I was in middle school. And still irks me now. Let women make their own decisions and don’t judge them for it.

Sefie Loposso Try, try again, I was a bit scared when I started using it and at first flawed technique so it sat uncomfortably then I learned. Just be csreful and switch it it at least once during the day you’ll prob be fine.

That’s a saying I’ve heard. It means one you go with a tampon you always use it because it is soo much easier
Don’t worry about it! It can be really nerve racking at first and might take a few tries to get it right but it doesn’t hurt at all. I couldn’t use a tampon for the first few years of my period but once I started using them I realize how much easier and neater they are than tampons. Don’t feel pressured, take your time :)

Period cramps themselves are caused by the hormone prostaglandins, the worse your cramps are, the more of this hormone is produced when your lining is being shed.
I have a large production of this hormone for only the first day.
It hurts really REALLY bad and I often throw up because of it if I don’t stay hydrated before hand.
Fortunately it only lasts the first day of the 7, the rest of the time in completely fine.

So with you there❤ Mine kicked in at 11 years of age. I lay awake in my bed for whole nights because of the pain, my parents worried sick beside me (no bleeding at this point). I finally got admitted to the hospital for fear I might have appendizitis. Only to be released later with the all-clear from the physicians: Don't worry, your body is only practizing for your period, so you will be fine.
And I thought to myself: If this is only foreplay, what horrors await me once it starts for real???😱
One of my classmates has that, we met this year since I started secondary school, and one day she wasn't at school. Next day, the girls asked her where she was and she said that she's on her period and that her cramps were so bad, she threw up that day and was in severe pain. The way everyone flinched lmao. It does help that there's 28 girls in my class.

I have a period horror story:
My class and I were at the park (leavers party) and I suddenly felt something wet touch me. I pulled my bestie aside and of course I was wearing white shorts. It started to rain. It she gave me her sweater to tie around my waist until we got inside 🥰 Once we got in, my besties mum whispered to my mum and my mum immediately asked me if we could talk, she gave me a pad and here we are. (The sweater fell off) thx bestie lol

I heard showering on your period can cause infections. Can someone confirm thissss? My mom doesn’t shower until her period is over but I don’t do the same. It’s not as gross as it sounds but she said it could cause infections but idkidk. It’s an arab thing

If I’m on my third or fourth day (heaviest days), I end up bleeding in the shower. But it feels great anyway

And a friend of mine once met a man who was seriously convinced that the cycle of every woman was tied to the moon cycle and exactly 28 days long. He wouldn't listen to her first-hand-experience ...
There are some studies saying womens cycles are linked to the moon. But yeah, not everyones is like that.

First Period Story:
We were learning about periods etc. and the female teacher that was helping my male 5th grade teacher teach us about it, was like ‘if you get it, tell your mum right away. She has been through it too.’. WeLl, when I got it, I FREAKED and hid it from my mum for a day lol. I was 10. I went straight on the pill.

You're lucky, the thing is like for me, I have mine like VERY heavily, and sometimes pads just aren't that comfortable, and I think that being comfy is one of the most important thing for anyone in their period. You're lucky that you can use light pads tho, I'm honestly jealous of you 😂
I've been using a cup for couple of months I and I love it. I usually remove and empty the cup just in the morning and evening. You don't feel it at all and sometimes I even forget that I'm on my period. And since I've been using it my period doesn't last that long.
@@Liza-pw4ie u by kotex does heavy padsthat are thinner saying this i do get heavy persiods they also do sport design which i wear when i am and not sporting and they work really well and i fin are not uncomfortable but there have been alot of changes i feel for pads in last few years and design for beter shape and absorbancy but thinner
It really just depends on the person, I just personally get to anxious with pads plus I don’t like the feel like. I’ve had people say I’m not a virgin anymore for wearing tampons lmfao
It definitely depends on the person because for me ultra thin is about the equivalent of using a thin tissue to collect the blood. I have to double up because I have been known to bleed through a super tampon, a medium pad, underwear and jeans within like 2 hours.

I’m 17 and my mom isn’t letting me get on birth control even tho I get HORRIBLE cramps and bleed a whole lot. I have to use heating pads and strong pain killers while I’m on my period. I always take random naps and mess up my sleeping schedule all because my mom doesn’t let me take birth control because she says that I shouldn’t not want a baby even tho I’m going to use it for a whole different problem.

i’m a dancer and when i first got my period about a year ago i was so paranoid that pads wouldn’t hold and i did this as well
So I'm a boy, I dont get a period obviously. My sister however gets hers all the time and I always feel so bad because she just lays there always complaining, which is fine because it hurts her. So every time she doesnt feel well when shes on it I always get her chocolate and extra pads/tampons. Every guy should do that for their sister or significant other ngl.
