      We can probably see Palatial Mycenaean Civilization still. Late Helladic IIIB is dated (wikipedia) between circa 1330 or 1315 to 1210 or 1200 BC. I guess it really depends on what chronology they are using. Though the traditional dating of the Trojan War is dated between 1194-1184 BC and Total War Saga Troy does mention Ramesses III in event. Ramesses himself ruled Egypt between circa 1186 to 1150 BC.

    • @AlecFortescue
      @AlecFortescue 11 месяцев назад

      That should make it even more of braindead decision to make it combined campaigns. What is 10-30 years, especially in this setting that's almost like a fantastical tale to us?

    • @ancienthistorygaming
      @ancienthistorygaming 11 месяцев назад

      @@AlecFortescue Now they could do this. In Troy there is an event that Ramesses III sends you a gift. So Troy is actually set slightly after the start of TW Pharaoh. They are probably using the old traditional dating of the Trojan War, if it happened, of 1194-1184 BC. Ramesses III ruled Egypt between 1186-1155 BC. TW Pharaoh's start date is 1205 BC in the final years of Merneptah's regin.

    I hope CA persist with Pharaoh. It would be a shame if this title was dropped purely because of all the brats who spat the dummy when they didn't get Medieval 3. Pharaoh is a good game, and I'm sure the new content will make it even better.

    • @Tomo_mo
      @Tomo_mo 11 месяцев назад +4

      Yes, people dislike the game because and only because they didnt get medieval 3 and not because the game sucks. Theyre brats i agree, how dare they complain about not getting a game the entire TW community been asking for a decade.

    • @adrianthompson5250
      @adrianthompson5250 11 месяцев назад

      My point is that Pharaoh was written off by large sections of the community, well before it was ever released. The criticism it has received has often been unfair and unwarranted, not to mention being deeply disrespectful to the men and women who worked on the game. Pharaoh is a bit more complex than most of the recent Total War titles (War Hammer), but if you bother to actually learn the game it is fun and a good challenge. Some people (like yourself?) might not appreciate the game, that is fair enough, but the community should stop all this incessant complaining. It is not a good look. I too hope that we'll get Medieval 3 sometime in the future and that hopefully too it'll be to your ( and all the others) satisfaction.@@Tomo_mo

      I mean there is barely anyone playing this disaster of a game so I think the community definitely put their foot down with crappy saga games not beeing enough anymore. Now CA finally has to prove again what it means to create a truly good game.

    In this Sea Peoples DLC will there be naval battles and landing of units in battle like in Rome 2 and Attila? No? Will they be sea people without a navy? It's getting better and better lol

    • @ProduccionesPaquito
      @ProduccionesPaquito 11 месяцев назад +13

      No, there won't be... because it's the bloody bronze age. Naval combat at the time was in its infancy, and they certainly hadn't developed strategies like boarding.
      The sea peoples are called that... because they came from the sea... nobody really knows which were their lands of origin, although there are various theories. Their ships were, more than likely, transport galleys. They weren't Atlanteans or anything...

      @@ProduccionesPaquito I would only partially agree with you: beach landing battles like those in Rome2/Attila would be desirable; I actually don't need real naval battles at sea in a Bronze Age game. But you have to say: It's a shame that we haven't had any real naval battles since ToB.

      The real Sea People weren't involved in any naval battles (in general naval battles weren't really a thing yet in the Bronze Age).
