As for James, i'm just not surprised lol. I wrote this as a quip to his "worked on the formulation for 4 years." It seemed like bullshit, and now it's proven as bullshit 😅)
He may not know the science behind making the product, but as a business owner he should’ve asked questions on what pigments they were using and if they are safe on skin. This is how he got in trouble with his Morphe palette
It’s a bad indicator for his business and his team that he didn’t have ANYONE who had the acumen to make sure that a warning appears on the product packaging/website. There are lawyers aplenty who specialize in being up to date on FDA regulations for a reason.
patrick didnt do anything wrong here imo. that setting spray is truly amazing, and has been a favorite in the makeup space since it LAUNCHED. Its not like he just gave the spray to muas for promo or review, they GO OUT THEIR WAY to get it bc its just objectively GOOD. And lastly like LETS BE FR i dont think its even SURPRISING that bee’s muas would be using that spray, i think its surprising if they didnt.
my credibility to talk abt this: this spray got me through a real sweaty hoco, ateez concert, UNIVERSAL(rode all the coasters and velocicoaster TWICE), and so much more without any budge besides like lipstick
Unfortunately he is not wrong. I also have pale eyes with prominent veins and with no base every shadow looks patchy. He put it straight on his face which was a bad move, you can see where the spatula first put the product. Second take looked way better because he applied it brush first, more even. But for the sake of it being James’s product… it’s patchy as shit boo 1 star review.
I don't feel bad for anyone who buys from or still supports James Charles. Not to mention, this product seems like a novelty at best. I DON'T want to have to use paint tubes and squeeze each color as I need them out onto a pallete EVERYTIME I go to do a face. Especially for the eyes.
Honestly i don't see the issue with patrick's posts, (at least he didn't print it out and made it look like beyonce herself picked it and put it on) he was excited and he kept saying "THE MAKEUP ARTIST USED" not that Beyonce picked it also the makeup artist gave him a very public shout out that everyone could see. What the articles do is out of his hands. I've also seen many small shops do the same where they make a video post or post about a celebrity using their products, for example Hard Jewelry made an excited post like patricks showing how Halsey wore their jewelry. They never printed out a picture or anything tho. I don't think it's right what James did though that's next level
He spent years developing it 🧑🔬 lol but forreal it's hilarious how involved these influencers say they are until something goes wrong then all of a sudden it's someone else's fault and they should have been more involved in the process 🙄
At least with Patrick Starr's product the make up artist publicly acknowledged that Beyoncé was wearing his setting spray until James where we just have to take his word for it.
I don't understand why James doesn't just openly address the warnings that are associated with artificial reds. Say what you will about him, but when Jeffree Star launched his Blood sugar pallette, he openly and thoroughly addressed the risks with staining and the FDA's classification of vegan red formulas, and that didn't stop people from buying that pallette. It's literally so easy to talk about it and tends not to drive people away from your product.
see how channels like this handle it and I'm honestly not surprised. This video is really doing its best to cast red lake in a shitty light, even though it is approved for cosmetics in the EU, beyond reasonably safe, and a great alternative for those who cannot or do not want to use carmine. The "Not for use on eyes" label looks bad enough to people who don't know better, but girly here is even going so far as pronouncing staining like "stinging" to make it sound like red lakes are problematic, when the ingredient they are replacing is more likely to cause stinging. I just hate that J* is one of the only places to find nice deep red shadows without carmine, because I hate the idea of supporting him.
@@TheBurrito171 tbh I think the issue that tea spill is trying to talk about is less the vegan reds being dangerous and more about James not addressing it, which he should have done. And the pronunciation of staining I think is just cus she's Canadian.

You guys saw the Try Guys recently had Manny on their shown recently? They either didn’t do their research or wholly disregarded his disgusting associations. 😡
Idk it’s a tough one. I don’t do hair for celebrities but I have done hair for films and an outsourced contractor as a colourist for a roll - not as a listed crew member. What if the hair I did was in an movie that blew up? I feel like I’m still allowed to use those photos to show off my work as long as I took the photos myself. James is using the artists photos so it’s weird… the only part I can’t get behind is the use of the photos in print. But I think it’s okay to say the products were used by the artist. He’s not saying the celebrities endorse it.
Hold up, James said that he had to change the formula weeks before the release, because the quality wasn't good enough. He said that he'd given out the product to these make-up artists months ago. So, he either lied (probably this) about the formula change, or he gave Beyonce's make-up artist, and others, a bad product.
Unless he didn’t put in that big of a order at first, so he can create the illusion that people are willing to buy his product and more will hop on the band wagon
The problem with Painted is going to be similar to the ABH Lip Palette. E V E R Y O N E wanted the ABH lip palette, but not everyone knows color theory. So with that, a lot of people would mix their color and end up with some ugly combos. Not everyone knows how to skillfully combine paint colors to make new shades that ALSO look good on them - so the Paints could have some hype, but they wont ever get used the way he's hoping.
Manny just coat tails every beauty guru. It was first Jeffree now it’s James. Such a shame he had such potential to be better but he’s just like the rest
To be fair, we all know that this “collabs” are just influencers choosing their favorite colors and doing a photo shoot. They don’t have any idea what is done behind the scenes.

Go to your RUclips filming room and film a full 4K review then! Vitiligo? Please! That man wouldn't know Vitiligo if Michael Jackson rose from the dead and slapped him across the face!
It's the fact I got James' paint set and I literally have an eye infection from it. From a small incident where some of the red paint got into my eye. At first, I didn't think much of it and I washed it out but a day after, my eye started to get extremely irritated and swell. Now I got a major eye infection thanks to it.
I cannot stand James Charles but I have got to say this whole FDA thing is ridiculous like they are approved in the EU which is usually a lot more strict. The FDA have to catch up with the times
I think the FDA is more strict with these things because Americans tend to be more prone to suing companies therefore they try to protect the bottom line by helping companies avoid lawsuits.
@@jesuusch this is actually not true. Usually the EU is about 3 years behind approvals than the US because there’s so many countries and people can’t agree 😆

Ok I’m sorry but I care more about not harming myself with red dyes that aren’t FDA approved than if it’s vegan or not 😐 harm myself to not harm bugs? No Thankyou.
The thing with warnings is it doesn't matter if the warning is on the packaging only. You HAVE to disclose the warning EVERYWHERE. Consumers have to know the health hazard of a product; otherwise, you will be in SERIOUS trouble. Did James not have a marketing/ legal team to disclose this all to him? Same with endorsements.
dude the patrick star situation is SOOOOO different how could beyonce not know that she was wearing the spray cmon yall its not like shes being a test dummy for an unreleased makeup brand
I have to agree with you, I would just buy something ready made and forget about mixing everything. He should have hit while the iron was hot and he wasn''t known as a pedo.
NOPE I have sensitive skin and my eyes get irritated by too much product so I’d need that warning before I put it on my eye and wind up with it watering, itchy, red and stained ALL DAY
I had my eyes swell up using those red type pigments. I avoid them like the plague. It took 3 days for my eyes to depuff. They were itchy and so irritated.
Likely have a carmine allergy, which is the usual red pigment used for eyeshadow, and is a common allergen. Red lake is associated with staining more than allergies. But you could very well be allergic to red lake or both.
Honestly, those ingredients are deemed safe in the EU. What happens is they can stain and some people have sensitivities to it. It's common in red dyes. Not defending james, just stating it's pretty common in cosmetics and isn't as serious as people are making it out to be.
If my make up artist put James Charles's face paint on me and if I didn't know about it... I would be mad. I don't want to be involved any shape or form with a pedo.

There is no “in trouble” there is no “accountable”. People do whatever the hell they want then get a lawyer to fix it.
Or a grey hoodie
Beyoncé is one of the most litigious celebrities lmao. She can afford better lawyers than James
damn if i was one of those celebrities i would be suing. especially because he’s not the person i’d want to be associated with.
I just don't get why people get so weird about celebrities. Whenever I see them, I just leave them alone. But my god, James and Patrick are practically having an orgasm.
Same
I wouldn’t sue unless something happened to me but this is wrong not cus it’s James Charles it’s more about using a new item on a celebrity cus what if something happens
Imagine if Ariana’s makeup artist used his paints and he used her name to promote his brand? Nah she would sue him for sure after he called her rude
@@jesuusch his brand is crap (his doing). He's just clout chasing hoping it goes back up.
I doubt James knew anything about his product's formulation, nor does he know anything about FDA regulations. (EDIT: i don't support James, but as someone who has worked in a cosmetics toll manufacturer / lab, they are responsible for informing him about the ingredients and its indications, regulations, etc, but ultimately the choice to put the warnings lie on the client James.
@@jesuusch agreed if you’re going to sell something, you should know what’s in it!
Doesn't this guy have a team? He doesn't have to know details, but someone on his team should have known.
Manny saying “It’s my veins!” …then shouldn’t the product be able to cover them up?
especially since he kept going on about how “full full coverage” it is 🙄
Unfortunately he is not wrong.
Especially for the eyes.
you’d think james would be more inclined to avoid drama after returning to social media..
It’s the only thing that keeps him relevant like his old pal Jeffree
Did he ever leave?
No, he thrives on drama. His whole brand is based on it. Plus he has yet to go to jail so he’s just gonna continue being a giant turd till he does.
He’s a straight up narcissist he does not even see his wrong doings
Beyonce's mua needs to watch it. That's the second time he "inadvertently" connected Beyonce to people she doesn't endorse.
"somebody's getting fired, heyhey" 😅
But but guys, he worked so hard on the formula 😂
He spent years developing it 🧑🔬 lol but forreal it's hilarious how involved these influencers say they are until something goes wrong then all of a sudden it's someone else's fault and they should have been more involved in the process 🙄
@@Shyknitvery true. Every time 😂
I agree that people most likely won't grab painted for everyday use, especially if it's from James, maybe for halloween looks or something but still
manny compared it to a regular brown eyeshadow to show that his vitiligo still shows!
@@leslieexv2946still sucks that he’s supposrtinh him :/// ugh I was just watching him the other day whyyy manny
@@50paa41 I’ve never heard a Canadian pronounce it like that and my spouse , in-laws, and all their friends are Canadian. I think she’s just trying to over-sensationalize.
@@TheBurrito171i agree. Carmine mat cause more issues and I heard stinging then I realised she's talking staining
Just imagine how this can affect the MUAs that made these celebrities makeup... A lot could go wrong and even tho they decided to use James product on their client, he is the one putting them on the front line as the "person that put my product on Beyonce's face".
yeah, but i imagine they themselves sent the photos to james and let him know
@@Madynes.m it's possible James used the picture the MUA posted on their own socials
@@Madynes.m Yes, that's why I said that they did make a decision, but them saying "hey, I used your product today on X" does not mean "oh, X loves your product, you can use her as a way of grabbing more attention", and a person can really take this the wrong way and think that these makeup artists took something from James to use their product on their face or that they are supporting someone that used them in that shady way.
Does anyone remember he scolded that fan for complaining the morphe pink shade stained her eye and sent hate after her, despite the fact he didnt disclose it and acted like it was common knowledge red based shades stain 🙄 i know people want vegan products but i feel like just use carmine and clarify its safer
Remember how the pallet he did with morphe stained the lids of costumers and then crickets.... he doesn’t care anymore
He’s never cared
Sorry, are we surprised anymore with these people?
I'm genuinely tired of hearing about them. They're boring and going through the same "drama" over and over again. Its so understimulating here rn😅
The shade name 'left on red' is from the nail polish brand Holo Taco, by simply nailogical aka Cristine! I'm more passed about that than anything she puts so much effort into her collections it's just disappointing.
This has happened to her before. Remember that hand sanitizer situation? I think she sent a cease and desist, but I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly.
@@KelseyDrummer yeah! she handles things so well. Like a normal business woman.
Come through Manny! Praising the brown paint when it's PATCHY the house!!! 🤣🤣🤣
💀💀💀
How can Manny MUA support a literal predator?! How can anyone?!
he and Laura were good friends with Jeffree for a while
anything for clout
I feel the same, Luke tou can verbally say they were used, bit it's another ballgame to use their image and reptutation to endorse your product.
Hair is different though. It’s like when barbers have photos of celebrities for people to point and say they want that hairstyle
Hold up, James said that he had to change the formula weeks before the release, because the quality wasn't good enough. He said that he'd given out the product to these make-up artists months ago. So, he either lied (probably this) about the formula change, or he gave Beyonce's make-up artist, and others, a bad product.
some think he lied about that to get people talking
@@no-mu6gw Wouldn't put it past him. James loves four things; money, fame, make-up & teenagers.
The dude that literally started his influencer career on lying to the public lying about his work? Nooooo couldn't be
The fact that any shades of James Charles face paints sold out at all says a lot about us as a society.
Didn't James have a similar pigment issue with his Morphe collaboration??? You'd think he'd know better...
If he didn’t learn from Dramaggeadon, he wouldn’t learn from other past mistakes.
@@jesuusch yeah, i was being sarcastic - he's a disaster 💀
To be fair, we all know that this “collabs” are just influencers choosing their favorite colors and doing a photo shoot. They don’t have any idea what is done behind the scenes.
Also "left on red" is the same name as simply nailogical Holo Taco nail polish lol (its not a big deal, they're in different markets, but I thought it was interesting)
He rly must have the shittiest pr-team to not say no to the pictures in the pamflett. Beyonce doesnt play when it comes to her brand so good luck with that James 🙃
You would think after the red mishap with his morphe palette, you would think he would have learned from that. I saw Manny use the products, and they look terrible.
You would think he had learnt his lesson with his Morphe palette, remember Kody rants went crazy about how his eyeshadow had stained her eyes 😂
Well Kodee got canceled from the Colleen situation so they can’t come back to roast James again
Imagine being that famous and having someone close to you who works on you every day selling you out like that for internet clout. If any of them are still working for those singers I will be shocked. They will probably get blacklisted from celeb client lists because of their idiocy
Wait...isn't this the exact same problem he had with his eyeshadow palette? He was using this red and people were getting blisters and/or red staining? I was going to say he doesn't learn but at this point he straight up doesn't care.
Wasn’t his palette made by morphe themselves to really him. Plus idk cus I don’t know that much of the ingredients and even when I used James Charles palette I didn’t get any staining nor blisters (maybe cus I’m black idk-)

Idk matte cream based eyeshadows/pigments seem less forgiving why is he putting all this energy in defending the product.

Since when has James Charles ever cared about the law???? Or morality? 😂
The moment you said red I already knew where this was going
Was it that difficult for manny to have a base on the lid first before reviewing the product? He’s seeing the comments, people call him out to try it this way now so we see if it’s actually patchy!
Do James and Patrick not realise they could be putting their friends job at risk by using Beyonce to sell their makeup?

I worked for a brand… and I know for fact brands PAY the artist for that kind of mention 😵💫
I think the Patrick star thing is totally OK because it was the make up artist who posted it, and I would be freaking out to
Honestly if someone else was releasing this product I’d 100% buy it. I know people are saying it’s a weird product or risky but I personally love eye paints. I have quite a few that are more expensive than JC’s. I rarely get staining but if I do, I always know that’s a risk I took by using one that’s not eye safe. But I refuse to support a weird groomer predator. He will never get a dime from me.
Do I smell a future lawsuit or tiktok regarding that red? Perhaps...
This is like when random makeup companies uses celebrities to sell their products on Facebook, 100% if someone used James face without his knowledge he would make sure a lawsuit happened. How dumb can he be?
Dont even start FDAGate please....
Using James’ paints as makeup legit looks like clown makeup
I have a list of blocked influencers who I cannot stand solely based on their voices… James is one of them 😖
So he didn't get their permission to use names OR likeness. Oh, James; I smell a lawsuit. MANY lawsuits.
I don't know if any of them actually will, but they easily could. He's probably "just a RUclipsr" in the eyes of some of those big names.
I hope the beauty artists don't get backlash for these influencers.
I have vitiligo too and know how make up sits on the skin. That brown is hella patchy, it’s not a skin issue 🙄
only thing im mad at patrick for is that i forgot to restock my products b4 that shoutout😭…its already hard enough to buy his priming/setting products ESPECIALLYYY when summer and concert season hits, now its gonna be actually impossible
If I was Avril I would scold the MUA and sue the Hell out of JC! Imagine some dog food company trying to promote their stuff by saying Celeb X Y and Z's dogs eat it! It's the same thing!
And Manuel was just pathetic! People called him out on his bias and he started making up excuses for himself and blaming the equipment. OK! Go to your RUclips filming room and film a full 4K review then! Vitiligo? Please! That man wouldn't know Vitiligo if Michael Jackson rose from the dead and slapped him across the face!
At this point is the consumer’s fault if the keep buying from these crony influencers
okay the Patrick thing… like it’s just a shoutout 😭😭…

honestly rather disappointed but not surprised because he was friends with Jeffree
It's the fact I got James' paint set and I literally have an eye infection from it. From a small incident where some of the red paint got into my eye. At first, I didn't think much of it and I washed it out but a day after, my eye started to get extremely irritated and swell. Now I got a major eye infection thanks to it.
But isn’t every make up and skin care, irritate your eyes if they go inside of it ?

I cannot stand James Charles but I have got to say this whole FDA thing is ridiculous like they are approved in the EU which is usually a lot more strict. The FDA have to catch up with the times
Also for anyone who does use these colours usually a good eye primer should stop most staining 💕
I think the FDA is more strict with these things because Americans tend to be more prone to suing companies therefore they try to protect the bottom line by helping companies avoid lawsuits.
Different systems and regulations

I have an Urban Decay pallet that has a few colors that state they aren’t for the eye area. They labeled it in the box and the back of the pallet.
It’s clown paint. Fitting since James is a clown 🤡
5:15 - LOL this reminds me of random barbors all over world using celebrity photos literally on the front of their stores. It's harmless but funny
I have to agree with you, I would just buy something ready made and forget about mixing everything. He should have hit while the iron was hot and he wasn''t known as a pedo.
NOPE I have sensitive skin and my eyes get irritated by too much product so I’d need that warning before I put it on my eye and wind up with it watering, itchy, red and stained ALL DAY
The look that Manny tried..boy...girl needs to figure it out....James needs to figure it out with him, damn.
James needs to clarify the red pigment situation. Everything else really isn't that big of a deal. Celebrities are too busy to notice or care
This is just sad James Charles just needs to give up his career is OVER.
If my make up artist put James Charles's face paint on me and if I didn't know about it... I would be mad. I don't want to be involved any shape or form with a pedo.
