Tbh its just not professional to expose how much you got out of a business deal especially in the acting world. Not every actor gets paid the same and a lot are underpaid. idk how the industry works EXACTLY but ik a lot of talented actors don’t get paid as much as someone who isn’t as talented but has a bigger name. this, rightfully so, can cause tension between actors and the executives because a lot of the time the talented actor without a huge following will be casted as the more important character and will have to work more for less money compared to a celebrity that’s only in the movie to bring in the ratings. One way to eliminate this issue is to not share who makes what. For example, Let’s say Beyoncé gets casted in a movie with Daniel Ezra (from All American) 9/10 Daniel will get the part that’s more important to the story, like one of the main characters, and Beyoncé will get a more of a supporting character role or even just a cameo and get paid the same or more because the executives are banking on Beyoncé bring in a larger audience. It also Depends on the deal made. Some actors take the upfront money as payment, some take a percent of what the movie earns.

Not every actor gets paid the same and a lot are underpaid. idk how the industry works EXACTLY but ik a lot of talented actors don’t get paid as much as someone who isn’t as talented but has a bigger name. this, rightfully so, can cause tension between actors and the executives because a lot of the time the talented actor without a huge following will be casted as the more important character and will have to work more for less money compared to a celebrity that’s only in the movie to bring in the ratings. One way to eliminate this issue is to not share who makes what.
For example, Let’s say Beyoncé gets casted in a movie with Daniel Ezra (from All American) 9/10 Daniel will get the part that’s more important to the story, like one of the main characters, and Beyoncé will get a more of a supporting character role or even just a cameo and get paid the same or more because the executives are banking on Beyoncé bring in a larger audience.
It also Depends on the deal made. Some actors take the upfront money as payment, some take a percent of what the movie earns.
