I've been severely deficient in many vitamins and minerals over the years leading to a multitude of cognitive problems. I recently started eating liver and I'm now experiencing huge and very noticeable changes in my mental health. I feel amazing, my memory is improving, my knees no longer ache, I'm sleeping better, I could go on. I never thought in a million years that eating liver could be life changing but for me, at least, it has been.

Pertaining to #10 every amino acid molecule contains nitrogen. And amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Glucose is carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and could be synthesized into a amino acid, which then is protein, if you have enough nitrogen in your digestive tract, by microorganisms, or your microbiome as its called recently.
There are essential amino acids, that are rare in foods many are needed in small amounts. Amino acids are chemically recognized by the letters "ine" at the end of the word, lysine. Methionine. Theaine, cysteine, phenylalanine, leucine isoluecine. Threonine, are examples
The only way to get enough of these in your diet is to consume animal protein in your diet. So now with so much emphasis on vegan diets, it becomes evident that people are deficient in the essential amino acids, and therefore the recommendations for arginine, lysine, theanine, alpha lopeicic acid, which is i believe is alanine. Or phenylalanine
Then there are sulfur containing amino acids, which are very important for the liver, which of course cannot be synthesized with sulfur being in the diet.
You might consider, my philosophy, which is if you want to grow muscle on your body, from what food source does all the raw materials needed, come from? I believe, everything needed to grow muscle comes from the muscle of another mammal,as in beef or pork. If you want to have a regenerative heart. Then eat heart muscle from another mammal. Etc.

❤ this report, Dr Berg. Because of you, I started Keto diet 01/10/22 and have lost 54 lbs to date and feel great. I was a complete sugar junky and have not had sugar since day one. Giving up sugar was painful, but I did it! Your videos have been a wonderful learning experience to truly healthy living. Previous to Keto diet, I recognized that my brain function was suffering (rapid-fire thinking was completely gone 😨), and all of the vitamins and supplements I was taking helped a little, but none of that compared to the results of IF w/Keto!
I recently made my first recipe of fermented Sauerkraut and it is awesome (best I have ever had)! And, I have noticed a difference for the better over Kefir. I am currently looking at several Kimchi recipes and process for my next fermenting project.
    Salmon Ceviche is the bomb!

Attemt suicide, it is a very serious matter if someone feels unusually unwell - you have to leave them alone for a while - but watch. I tried 5 times, it almost worked ... As for me the best way to calm down - rest, if it is better to leave the house often - just for the walk - even for a short time, everyone has some hobbies, interests ... you just have to do something you like, medications are necessary, preferably stabilizing. In more difficult situations, it would be good to visit a neurologist - he knows the most about the work of the brain and knows how to combine drugs, how long to take them, knows which drugs are safe and really help. Hi doc, I took your test and I've learned a lot about my stress and memory problems. Thank you so much!
One thing that stood out for me was the depletion of nutrients such as potassium, calcium, and vitamin B as a result of the intake of carbs and processed sugars. Truth is, I like consuming sodas & processed sugary foods, and I generally consume them once or twice a day.
But when you mentioned it, I remembered a period from last year in which consumed less processed sugars and I felt less stressed & anxious.
I didn't attribute it to that at first, but thank goodness I came across your video, and I'm going to reduce my consumption of processed sugars & carbs and see what happens. Thanks a lot, doc!🙏🏾

Depleting your body of glucose takes more than a little fasting. If you're not eating then your liver will make glucose from stored fat in a process known as gluconeogenesis. Once all the fat stored in your liver is gone then your body can switch to ketones but that takes a very long time. I've been doing MAD for over 2-years and I still have a potbelly. I've lost 10 pounds or so since 2019 and I've finally gotten to the point where I can do a 36- 48-hour fast once a week but I've got about 10-years at this rate to burn up all the fat stored in my liver.
I'm 6'2" and I weigh 230 lbs. I'm glad summer is coming so that I can get out and walk again every day. I've gotten down to as low as 220 lbs but that was from a severe push, were I lost a lot of water weight. Ketosis would be nice but I'd probably have to do a week long water fast in order to achieve it.

Hey I’m not a doctor BUT HAD TO FIND OUT FOR MYSELF that the horrible Metformin robs your ability to absorb b12. You may have to try sublingual. Since they come in high amounts maybe once a week would be sufficient. I don’t believe even swallowing the b12 in multivitamins is absorbed due to Metformin. So sublingual or shots.

I have come to realize that all the cheap vitamins are more or less garbage. With so many filler ingredients, & completely unnecessary ones that can even cause harm. & if those aren't the case then, it's all synthetic sources that just don't do the same thing, or just a fraction of the full vitamin. Dr berg does a video on C or D on that topic I believe.

@ Karen Baker - "The medical field is woefully lacking the information you provide." - I've now got to a stage where my present understanding is that the junk food the industry is churning out is slowly poisoning us ( Others cite photos of the Woodstock pop festival in the '60s where there are no photos of fat people, but nowadays obesity is approaching a crisis level ).
It seems that conventional medicine is not prepared to deal with a problem until it's a crisis! And I for one find the thought of such brutal procedures as cutting my chest open, crack open my rib cage in order to have open heart surgery performed on me as somewhat less than entirely appealing ! So I look upon being here to learn how best to improve my diet as a form of preventative medicine. As for big Pharma, once the food industry has made us ill, big Pharma, @ best will keep us alive, but unhealthy, as a means of keeping us hooked, while they screw us financially. Put that lot together & it's clearly a rigged game ! Then if you add in such other corrupt systems as financial, particularly the bankers, it's difficult not to see them as anything but a bunch of parasites feeding off the body public. - TOTALLY sucks ! ! !

One of the things I have been wondering all these years is whether cooking oily fish will destroy the omega-3 oils within. These oils tend to oxidize very, very easily and cooking the fish seems to hasten that process.

I cook my fish skin side down in a hot pan. I cook it until the fish turns white half way up then I flip for just 2 minutes or so. Ok, so hear me out, I feel like depression, is the cause of depression. No-one has talked about this (or atleast from what I saw). All the symptoms of depression, if we talked about each on its own, most of them already lead to depression. Also each symptom kinda strengthens the other symptoms, like how stress leads to fatigue and memory issues which lead to stress and the cycle continues. Not to mention how depression can make you more prone to depression cuz of the stereotypical lifestyle changes cuz of the already existing depression. For example not eating enough or even overeating the sugary foods in desperate attempt to feel "happy" or satisfied and get rid of the stress, which ironically increases it and depletes B1.... I've been depressed for as long as I can remember, but I'm still not sure why was that. I have a father with BD (1) and have had ferbile convulsions multiple times when I was young. So I have a theory that already having depression leads to getting more depressed cuz of the affected lifestyle and overall more "self blame" due to not knowing what the hell is going on with one's self which skyrockets the stress.
