Then later when you're exploring the bonus dungeon when you get to a certain point he just shows up and says hey I'm back and joins your party automatically if you have a space for him. He doesn't ask he just decides that since you defeated the emperor of evil he's going to be your henchman. Solid.

Yeah french werewolf boss was one of the hardest in the game for me. Super high stats for where he is in the game. Demons used to have skills for negotiation now I'm pretty sure only the MC does it except in particular scenarios where the demons are related somehow.
You need to have either black or king in the party and talk to Jack. They will appear to talk instead. I wonder if it's always the same line, or are there different ones. With different outcomes. Because here we got Jack getting bullied and leaving. Wonder if he can get different treatment and join.
