Interesting what he said about his acting. I've always wondered what actors think of their own acting, and if they can see what the audience sees. Wonderful, humble human being.
When Frakes was good he was really good. Episodes like The Best of Both Worlds, The Pegasus or one of my new faves Frame of Mind really show him at his best IMHO.
This might be a little random but I would've LOVED to have seen him replace Robert Stack as the host of Unsolved Mysteries! He's literally the only actor I can think of that I feel could pull that off.
I don't think so. When I was a kid, just the music from Unsolved Mysteries would make me put a blanket over my head (that music still gives me PTSD to this day) and Robert Stack's voice just added to that ambiance. I can't imagine Frakes' voice having that same effect.
He was in New England, so close to where I live. Now he moved to Cali 🤦🏽♂️ Unfortunately it must’ve been better work wise out west. I wish the East Coast would be as successful at movie making as Hollywood.
@@gustafsone Jonathan Frakes' father-in-law, actor Ivor Francis, was born in Canada. Therefore, he, his wife Genie Francis, and their two kids should relocate to Canada, if possible.
Seems like a very grounded and decent person. I adore his loyalty to his wife.

His voice moves mountains in my soul 😊
He loves his wife & his unwavering love for Marina Sirtis is remarkable.

Wish they would have called him to host Jeopardy. He has such a great voice.
It's false, it's fiction, beyond belief.
Both Frakes and Francis are very talented.

I loved his show Beyond Belief.
Just discovered it. It’s really interesting
It was written to fool you. It's fake. It's fiction. Totally made up. A total fabrication.
He’s a great director. First Contact is my favourite Trek movie.
"Rent the movie" something you don't hear today anymorem
He voiced a character called Thanatos, the most fun villain/occasional hero ever.
David Xanatos, and yes he is a great villain.
Jonathan is so awesome. Even more now that he love Goodfellas lol. I love when actors mention that movie. It’s soooo freaking good.
"I'm not a very good actor. Not very rangey."
"So I became an acting teacher"
lol
hmmm somehow i feel he would make a good jeopardy host
He should co-host with matpat. That is a combination I’d love to see
I'll always remember him as Xanatos
My favorite TNG character. If you want to tickle him, say "Let the Jeep CJ have a try." It's in reference to a commercial he did as a very young man.
We need a new season of beyond belief fact or fiction.
Not only do we have the same birthday ... we both became directors. Thanks to Star Trek.
D.A.
Jeez, I would have thought he'd be more type cast by his break out appearance on The Waltons. It launched John Ritter's career after all. LOL
Wonder how close he lives to Steven King???!!!
Strong voice
BTW -- _Is Frakes still teaching in Maine ..?
