    Love the video! The third fish you caught is a whiting, otherwise known as a “sea mullet” or Virginia mullet. Really good eating, and a lot of fun on light tackle.

    If you ever go to Amelia island again and you want to go on a charter boat, I’d suggest gonna miss her charter. A full day is 8 hours, very fun experience especially going to the ocean for the first time being from Minnesota

    Love the vid man! I’ve never shark fished so I can’t say too much, but I saw the hook in the corner of its mouth. If I had pliers I would have tried to get it out. But that’s just me lol keep up the good work!

      Hooks will rust out but if your not experienced with handling sharks it’s easier to get bit by the smaller ones then you might think. There all muscle which makes them very flexible, they can reach around and grab there own tail if they wanted too.

      Should watch the video again closer. The hook was not visible outside of it's mouth that was the leader line showing.

    The shark looked like a Sandbar Shark. I caught 2 when I was fishing from the beach in the Outer Banks several years ago.

    Next time. Go past the entrance to that park. Right before you hit the bridge, go to the right and go under the bridge. That little kayak launch and jetty is packed with fish.

    Third fish is a whiting. It’s the southern version of the northern king fish you are used to catching in Delaware

    I love FL,lived her my whole life!! Fishing the jetties are awesome there are so many different species.if you wanna catch 45inch reds use a cast net and catch finger mullet or mud minnows AND HOOK THEM UP IN THE FACE.If you wanna catch Big black drum use blue crab or soft shell crab and cut them into quarters.You can get them at fisherman's dock or a fresh seafood store. GOD BLESS YOU.

    Bro! Please use a jerk minnow soft plastic with the bottom jig... I'm sure you will catch some nice fish. I primarily use lures and fish in South Africa. I have manged to land 54 different saltwater species on lure!!! Just yesterday, I caught a venomous Scorpionfish on the same rig that I suggested... Alot of the fish on my RUclips fishing channel have been caught with it!!!

    Filmed a few videos on those jetties myself. Tough fishing and the A shifty walk for sure but it is a solid shore fishing spot.

    I believe the shark you caught was an Atlantic Sharpnose. Atlantic Sharpnoses don’t get too big, so you probably could have eaten it.

    flush the crabs with fresh sea water daily, just scoop some in , then drain most of it back out.
