I love when new players try tarkov. Always starts with a traitor scav murder montage.
That is my biggest issue in tarkov. Everyone looks the same.

Tarkov is either the most frustrating or the most rewarding game I have ever played. I can't imagine starting fresh and not having someone to help me through it. Good luck out there.

@@lttlfunk I'm right their with you bro. Sucks to because the game has a huge amount of potential.
Their bullet registry issues make that a pretty easy choice. Their “no anti cheat is anti cheat” strategy blows chunks too. EFT is not a good game, but the concept is definitely there.

on minute 4:45 he said ''you scav?'' cause he was scav too and he doesnt want to fight other scavs,scavs are AI or can be played by players
the reason you died at 2:40 is because you left the map boundaries: a sniper (that isn't an actual NPC or a player) starts shooting you. it's impossible to cover from the shots. the first shot is a warning shot, the second is guaranteed death. you can identify this by the red crosshair painted on the wood panel
In 4:40 I believe the guy said "You scav?", meaning you're playing as a scav
PMCs have dog tags, if there’s a sign with a sniper reticle you don’t go that way, scavs can be actual players and you usually you can tell by how they act and if they have loot. All ammo in that game matters as in which type you use what caliber, armor matters on class and weight. Sounds matter extremely so always bring head phones. Don’t kill scavs if you’re a scav it will make life worse for you. If you have a second monitor always pull a map up if you’re new to the game, a map from google not from in game. Don’t go at night if you’re new. My favorite maps to run as a new person is customs and woods(a lot of people find woods hard to learn so i recommend learning it second and customs first). Watch your weight, energy and hunger as you play, if you’re overweight and in or about to fight drop your back pack it will help you, also alway try to take some type of pain killer before you get in a fight. These are my few new player tips I can give.
If you're just starting out, I don't recommend shooting at scavs as a scav :)

I used to play that game all the time but you have to invest so many hours to get good. It is not a game for casual players. It is is a beautiful game though.

I dont know if anyone else wrote this or not yet, but you can identify scavs by clothing, by this i mean hoodie and pants not the actual gear they have it takes a while to learn them just as everything else in this game but once you learn the most common PMC clothes you will easily recognize scavs. Great video, keep at it chief.
you can tell between scavs and pmcs by the clothing. PMC's only have access to military looking clothing, besides 2 pieces for the BEAR faction, and scavs will always wear standard slavic clothing. So if you see a dude in a motorbike jacket wearing a baseball cap, thats a scav. you see a dude looking like a navy seal, its a pmc. its actually pretty easy once you pay attention to the clothing

Meaning if you spawned as a SCAV. There are differences if you spawn as SCAV or as PMC
My criticism is the game has so many great concepts. However, it works so incredibly hard from letting you enjoy those features
Thats cause it also has a whole lot of shit concepts the devs refuse to give up on. Such as the majority of the "MMO rpg" part.

@@Bluntman-J.P More specifically some of the shit parts are stuff like hearing range, recoil control, etc. These soft skills do put you at a huge disadvantage when the level discrepancy is higher than 5 levels. A level 10 vs a level 40 will simply be outclassed by skills in a headsup fight. That might be a good look for an RPG, but it's not a very good look for an FPS like Tarkov. Those skills should be left solely to the individual player's skills, not the PMC's soft skills.
@@eckard9597 but at the same time you may be outclassed but that is where the challenge and trying to out play the higher levels make the game fun cod isnt hard anymore it gets boring bc its the same thing over and over your going in with whole different mind set each time you load in you have to think differently then everyone else in the game and thats why the game hasnt died and has been doing nothing but getting better and better.
@saltyspoon No i agree, SOME of these skills should make a difference between levels. But some shouldn't make a difference; ergo recoil control, hearing distance, strength and endurance really shouldn't make a difference, atleast not as much as it does now.
Hearing distance and recoil control should be left up to the player themselves, not up to the soft skills. These skills are where an individual persons experience and dedication to practice should be the deciding factor, currently high level players have a significant advantage.
The strength and endurance of a highly trained PMC shouldn't be so vast between a level 10 player and a level 40 player. It simply does not make sense gameplay-wise and lore-wise.
When you play tarkov use mapgenie on a second monitor until you learn the maps, it will save you a lot of time .......... and pain

I never played this, I put a couple of hundred hours into a VR "Tarkov" recently, it's not as in depth as this just yet. I will try this one day.

The Scav on Scav violence
This is great, tarkov needs more players, and especially more creators showing the game off. I've been playing tarkov for around 4 years, and I can say the best way to learn the mechanics of tarkov, is to go as a scav or pmc on customs. Customs is a linear map, you spawn at one side of the map (east or west) and you loot and kill while traveling to the other side of the map (opposite side you spawned at) to extract. The extracts on customs are easy, I suggest using the wiki for all map related, or quest related knowledge. There will always be a youtube video for every single quest in the game, use them.

Just an FYI that red cross hair painted and the arrow is saying that a sniper scav will shoot you if you go that way, it's the edge of the map basically.
the new players experience in a nutshell great video could i suggest more pauses and zoom ins to empathize the moment.

Tarkov is Tarkov. There really isn't anything else like it. There are games that try to be extraction shooters, and they succeed at that, but only Tarkov is Tarkov.

When you play as a scav, you cant kill others scavs, cuz you have a "reputation" in game, Fence (trader) is the guy who deal with you about scav and being a scav.

Ohhh man, you're going to have a rough time going in without any prior understanding or knowledge of the game and no one holding you hand either. For example at 2:35 that sign with a red arrow and a circle/target reticle means sniper ahead. Its basically the map border. And if you pass that line, you're going to get gunned down by an invisible sniper that ignored cover. Tarkov is more about knowledge of the game and its mechanics, than being able to click heads. So good luck, you're going to need it.

If you play this game long enough you'll realize this is not a survival game at all, it's just a game where you basically just play a match of CoD but then at the end try to min max your backpack full of valuable items to make as much money as possible and then repeat.
It's better at night.

The learning curve on this game is STEEP. And there are many many issues but its so good that its ruined all other shooters for me. Have fun. Enjoy the pain

The scav sniper spots piss me off in tarkov. There’s no reason why they couldn’t just fence off the areas that don’t lead anywhere. As a new player when you’re learning the maps and even with blatant signs with crosshairs it’s not enough to be like “ hey don’t go this way”
You will spend a few years in tarkov until you have figured out most of it
You should probably watch a beginers guide to EFT, it will help you out a lot since this is a dark souls multiplayer FPS with no tutorial

you joking. i'm playing tarkov with start of alpha and i have find about 4 to 5 cheaters. don't know why everbody say that tarkov have many cheaters. and by the way every game has cheaters. i think in CoD are more cheaters as in other games.
So these 3 in the begining where scavs and the fact you died at the same spot twice is cause theres a map border with a Sniper to prevent you from going oob

you need to have a genuine interest in gear guns and hardcore shooters otherwise you will be lost
