The new B-Class is a compact MPV, positioned as a premium rival to the Ford C-MAX and Volkswagen Golf Plus. It's built around an all-new front-wheel drive platform that will be used for the new A-Class and three other brand new models. The interior layout is versatile and spacious, as well as maintaining Mercedes' reputation for high-quality.

Bland?? What on earth is she on about? If anything, I'm glad it doesn't stand out like the oppressive saloon cars you see everywhere. IMHO its modestly understated design is what makes it so attractive.

ive drove one of these the other werk, i had the 1.8 diesel and it had plenty of power and it was a really pleasant drive. Overall i think its a lovely car

From a design point of view I find the B-Class to be much better looking than the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer.

The new A & B class are both made in Rastatt, Germany, otherwise Mercedes have gone to a considerable amount of trouble to persuade me otherwise as i've picked up 2 cars from this factory. The old model of the A-class was also made in Brazil.

Damn Mercedes are good looking as hell. Not a great fan of MPV´s (is this an MPV?) but this I would happily drive. By the way, love how she pronounces "hie, and hie, and hieee".

Ditto! My mum has one too. it'd be nice to hear carbuyer's opinion on it via a video. but I doubt they will do it now since the new A-class is out soon.
i drive an SLK 180 with the same gearbox, i use sportmode in towns, because the ratios are wider wich results in a more comfortable drive
what are the differences between A Class and B Class please?

I dont know where why she think the sport suspension is too stiff, personally I dont think its stiff enough.
@Andy Nguyen B class is bigger and does not have an AMG version.

Wow, the first great-looking MPV I've laid eyes on, and naturally we'll never get it here in the States.
Except the seats and maybe the steering wheel, everything looks and sounds cheap, look at 1:02 everything cheap plastic...

Not many people would turn down arriving in a mercedes....? Which one!? Thats a bit general isnt it? there are only a few mercedes that appear cool, the rest are for retired old people.
What would be the equivalent (rival) model in other brands for the B class? I understand the A class goes with the A3 and 1 series, but where does the B class would stand?
That car looks really big wenn you stand next to it, when i see it in real life it seems to be a lot smaller

@MAXXFIGO What's the point of assisting, imagine your in the B-Classe and it tells you you may hit the car in front of you and you don't have the time to do anything and the car doesn't either ?? You will crash !! And with the Volvo System if your now over 50 km/H you may crash but it will still help the brakes doing their job !! And below 50KM/H it will stop !! So …

Hey this Mercedes assists when your going to close to an oder car !! Volvo has had that for some years now and with volvo i just doesn't assist you it will also brake and goes to a complete stop if necessary and sins last year it has also the Pedestrian Detection and it also brakes and all of this to 30Km/h and now with the all new V40 launched yesterday it comes with all of this up to 50km/h !!! So way to go Mercedes for assisting !!! :P

@MAXXFIGO You know i have a Volvo XC60 it has City Safety and even when i'm going through borders like France, You have to completely stop because there's a gate and we never completely stop and wile your taking your ticket you soddenly scare your self because the car stopped it self from hitting the gate and it also works in traffic … It does work if it crashed its because the person was going to fast over 30KM/H and now its 50 so !!! I don't see where the fail is !!

She must use a different definition of the word "innovation" than what's in the dictionary. There is nothing innovative about this car at all -- it's just another car -- with literally nothing particularly special about it.

I think she means its too stiff for a car that's not a sportscar. So, it may not be stiff enough for a regular sportscar, but this isn't a sportscar

I have the previous model of this car and I really loved it. It was extremely reliable and great for toting kids, dogs, groceries, and weekend trips. Mechanically it never gave me any troubles. I sold it at 178 000 kms. I always felt safe, knowing its an MB. It’s a very stylish and comfortable lady car. I might get another.

Sorry, this video not so informative. 1. How much is the price for this fully loaded B-class? (you can give us either in price range or the exact amount) 2. If it's petrol, what's the fuel consumption? 3). Regarding back seat space (knee room) how big is it in comparison to, say, C-Class? And how tall are you by the way? (I can only guess 5'4?)

Looks pretty ugly from the outside. And that screen is too small, bezel too big.
It looks way better than the petite CLS clone that we get here in the States, also known as the CLA. I think that the B class is a nice compromise , especially for upward mobile families. I wonder though if this car is built in Germany, like a true Mercedes
***** It's built in Hungary, similar to the CLA to save on manufacturing costs and thus passing (some) savings to the consumer.
Golf or Superb.. they all are VAG-cars, they have very good build quality and golf looks very good too :)

@CharelIT Agreed. My dad's got the one this is replacing (B180) an his interior looks like it's in a different class to all that cheap looking shiny plastic.

I agree. I think BMW and Audi make much better cars in the mid range size and the only really good mercedes is the S Class. But I went in a friends new B class and I was impressed although c'mon mercedes don't be cheap with the options list ey?
