I've tried both and bought the BM no contest, the 2ltr 190 BHP diesel is superb and the 8speed auto box is a dream, fuel consumption is brilliant and will do 55mpg on a run and will do over 600miles on a tank full of fuel, try that with your electric vehicles, at 1750rpm your doing 70mph and is silent at this speed and with the 4wd it's very sure footed on slippery roads, I had a Merc ML320 before which was like driving a wallowing whale by comparison.
Test drove both cars, the Merc is a bit drab inside but the engine 2-1 Diesel is good but not impressed with CVT gearbox,on the other hand the BMW with its 2-0 Diesel and 8 Speed gearbox is very impressive, in the end I went for the BMW with Xdrive AWD and Automatic Gearbox and can't wait to take delivery,I had a ML320 before and wasn't that happy with it constant niggles and expensive repairs spoiled the purchase so I decided to see how the BMW will fair.
Not really exactly true when the presenter said both cars are about the 'same' price. It's not obviously. The merc is more expensive , like $US 20K more. For a little more comfortable , space and power, 20K is a lot to pay. No thanks Merc, I'll go for the BMW.
No mention that BMWs ergonomics thrash the B classes. Offset steering wheel in B class and centre dash stack that tilts towards the passenger. Very lazy conversion to RHD. No thanks to Mercedes
Drove both and have to say merc was more comfortable on the road! But I got bored of the dash, bmw I loved the seats!! More comfortable and the dash design was really cool other than that they both really good cars for moms or people like me who prefers cars of such design! Also drove a Renault scenic 2015 and have to say it actually was the most comfortable and interior design tops these two German bosses!!! French forgot the speed though!!
The foot operated parking brake on the Mercedes drives me nuts, whoever thought of this idea should be in an asylum, Volvo use a similar system and that’s crap as well, the only thing good on the Merc is the badge on the bonnet,I’ll stick with BMW for the foreseeable.
Dave Thomas, I’m pretty sure there is no such thing as a 7-seater in the BMW. If you go search it up, you will not find results regarding to this BMW having 7 seats.
but the 2 series active tourer is MUCH MUCH better looking comparedt to the boring and conservative looking of B-class... both exterior and interior design
mynamehaschanged Totally wrong in my opinion. The BMWs design looks confused. There's no flow or purpose to it. The B class looks a lot cooler and well thought out.
Chima Chinda Just because the guy in the video says at the end the BMW looks awkward, doesn't mean it is.I bet you if you wait 2 years BMW design will make sense, unlike the always boxy Merc's B Class. Just look at the back view in the video, is the Merc cooler than BMW? Or look at the flat hood in the Merc compared to the BMW hood design.
mynamehaschanged I didn't say so because of what the guy said. It looked awkward from the moment I saw it. There's something about the design that doesn't look well thought out. Speaking of 'boxy', the BMW looks even more boxy to me while the Mercedes looks more elegant. I might be wrong but that's the way I see it.
Is this good for BMW, remember when fwd was sacrilegious, I still can't sometime believe BMW has fwd models, Mini yes, Audi yes, even Mercedes yes, but BMW no
Woeful review. I'm really astounded at what kind of ppl can do their desperately boring reviews these days. Don't get me wrong... I like boring concise autobild style reviews. But only when they are full of useful hands on driving experience descriptions. This guy is all about "I'll read off the lists of equipment options to fill in the time that would otherwise be better spent talking about the actual goddamn car." Drab. Boring. Soul crushing. Give it up and try work as a receptionist instead. You'd be awesome! "Room 36, Sir. Right down the hall."

My mum and dad have 2 B180d very good cars!
BMW active tourer was the same chassis from the MINi.

good luck with bmw
How is the ownership of the Beemer so far?
I would buy the Mercedes

i like benz。buy already B200 red
The BMW feels like Honda, super light and The B Class feels solid like a Mercedes does.
Great reviewer - the sarcasm made me laugh! Good and complete reviews too...
I like your reviews. Subscribed!!
Thank you! Many more on the way
Love the review!

I would by the Mercedes - Benz
BMW s number one👍❤️
Good review thanks man
Popcorn!! Mercedes will obviously win. BMW just made this active tourer just so that It can compete.

It’s about space & comfort not power & speed. The Mercedes is a nice car to look at but wouldn’t pay the price tag. BMW for me.
i would pick the Mercedes any day over a BMW
Me2!
Tommy Olsen smart guy/girl 😂
I pick bmw

I choose BMW
merceds nice car
Just Subscribed. Cool video. Thanks for posting. I like the BMW. To me it just looks better and I believe you can get it in a 7 seater as well.

Hi there, we'll get Ciro to message you. Thanks for watching
Okay
Thanks
Not bad but video but you cannot conclude without driving them!
i knew that Merc will win before watching this video
Not when you happen to know that below the bonnet is a renault engine.
Nice review mate. One correction; the BMW car is called a Bimmer; The Beamer is slang for a BMW motorcycle.
but the 2 series active tourer is MUCH MUCH better looking comparedt to the boring and conservative looking of B-class... both exterior and interior design
bimosalexandres kidding right
BMW-Cool Mom Vs Merc-Boring Mom
(If I had to judge them by the exterior look).
mynamehaschanged Totally wrong in my opinion. The BMWs design looks confused. There's no flow or purpose to it. The B class looks a lot cooler and well thought out.

Bmw for young people, mercedes for old people
Sin duda Mercedes Benz clase B200
Benz
Mercedes is way ahead the bmw in all aspects. Stars never get down...
Exterior BMW, interior Mercedes Benz..
Is this good for BMW, remember when fwd was sacrilegious, I still can't sometime believe BMW has fwd models, Mini yes, Audi yes, even Mercedes yes, but BMW no
Mercedes is the best
Bmw
Witam,,BMW,, czy MERCEDES? Pozdrawiam 👍
Could have been more informative...
Go BMW
bmw all day
Bmw gives better driving feel...this one too...mercs are barges
London drugs
ok the BMW looks much better, unlike Mercedes who looks more like a funeral one
Kkkkk
No offense. I like Mercedes. But B Class is one fucking ugly car. I drove the 2 series. It's just amazing. U can't believe how compact is the car.
I hate the fake exhaust form Mercedes.
Also bmw beter looking car.
BMW premium cars for famíily, this not a race car.
For me 100% BMW
