As Sam says the buyers are probably more concerned about the bag then the drive train. Surveys of Series one new owners didn't even know they were rear wheel drive. The next gen are going to be FWD. That will be interesting.
@@stevethea5250 hm? why used hearse? it´s a van, the first made by bmw and it is exactly what i need: fantastic handling, good quality, fine motor, enough room for a couple like us, enouch room for our luggage, we love that car, izt´s the best car i ever had, and ith my age of 70 you can imagine that i had a lot of cars before, volkswagen, toyota, simca, beetle, etc etc
This is terrible. BMW is all about the driver and driving experience. A FWD BMW is just not part for the BMW DNA. I understand that BMW wants to compete and expand but this should be called the 1 Series (and RWD) This brings me to my next point. All even number series in the BMW stable, denote the sporty variant. How does this fit into this number strategy? An insult to the BMW brand.
rubbish: bmw is intelligent and doesn´t eternally produce the same technique. ho needs rwd... i wanted a fwd and bmw offered me such a car. additionally i wanted a van. bmw had it. so now i have a fwd bmv van. and it ist a fantastic car. handling top, i love to move it, even the short was to shopping amazes me. best car i ever had. shut up with rwd, bmw lives fromselling cars that buyers ant. i wanted that, they produced it, i bought it. success for bmw. understand the principle?
