I happened across your video. I had the same issues with pH as you. I purchased the same reactor and used CO2 scrubbing media. I thought the CO2 scrubber alone was a slight success as you seen initially. What turned out to be my problem was the last item you mentioned. I purchased a CO2 monitor off Amazon to check my own home CO2 levels. They were surprisingly very high. I am opening 2 windows twice a day for about 5-10 minutes. My pH is now staying between 8-8.2 depending on when I am home to get the levels of CO2 back in tolerance.

Ok so this is a few months old but if you run a line out side to your skimmer and hook up the c02 scrubber out side it will boost your ph alot. That's how I have mine and my ph went from 8.2 to 8.4 it did take about 24 to 48 hour to boost but It work with sucking fresh air in to then c02 scrubber.

it doesn't solve them, it masks them. but sometimes that's the best you can do based on current realities.
