  • This is how I upgraded my Kyosho Fazer Mad Van spur gear with the much better Kimbrough gear.
I saw this somewhere else and knew I had to try it since I wanted my Mad Van back in action.
It is a 76 tooth, 48 pitch slipper gear for team associated B-4/T4 cars.

Hi, friend! how are you? I asked for a brushed van online, just like yours, how resistant is it? How long have you been with her? do you think it can withstand light bashing? small jumps? I have seen several videos where they break the madvan in skateparks, Greetings friend :)

      Hey there.
      I'm good thanks.
The mad van is a great truck and I've done a lot of moderate bashing with it on off road tracks and on jumps and haven't broken anything yet other than the spur gear. I've had it for probably 4 years now and drive it a lot.
As far as going to a skate park, that's probably a bad idea for any rc car. I've never taken my trucks there because it's just asking for something to break.
The Mad Van has held up really well for me on dirt and wooden jumps landing on dirt or grass and I definitely recommend it for those surfaces but not if your going to a skate park.
Rc cars were never designed for the hard landings on concrete like at a skate park.
Kyosho also sells a lot of aluminum upgrade parts for it if you would want to bash it harder.
Definitely get the center aluminum drive shaft when the plastic one gives out.
Other than that, it's a great truck.
I'm taking mine out to the track later today actually.
Thanks for your question and I hope that helps.
