Welcome to my page.
I am Jody Shaneyfelt and I am addicted to RC cars and planes and pretty much anything else RC.
I am also a big time aviation and race car lover so you might see some full scale stuff here as well since I like to duplicate full size cool into my smaller size Radio Controlled stuff.
I spent 37 years working on real racecars and warbirds.
I will give you my honest opinion of RC cars, Planes, or whatever else so you can enjoy the hobby as much as I do.
It all started in the early 80's with the Tamiya Grasshopper, Frog, and Hot Shot.
Then I started racing the RC-10 gold pan cars and now it's all coming full circle many years later.

CVD repair I made on my Vaterra Ascender Suburban using the outer race of a bearing and some solder.... I am calling the racetrack done for the year. It's pretty much done except for adding the turf carpet to the islands inside of the racetracks and trying to get the hundreds of little stones out of it. Now my Bandit is really starting to look like a Sprint Car.. I have the camber rods on it now and also have the rear tail tank mounted. Also have the ESC mounted and the wheels on it. Nice update! One year I worked on my project 16 1/2 hours straight to completion and then collapsed lol. Now I usually get a decent amount of sleep and then get an 8am start in the morning on Sunday. Didn’t finish mine this year in 24 hours either.
Yeah I was hoping to make it but I guess I never realized how hard it is to build a model in 24 hours... Now I know. Lol Definitely have an easier kit next year. 😁

Yeah it was a blast. It spent the night straddling the kitchen sink so it could dry out.. 🤣🤣
@@flyingfortressrc1794 Thankfully I can set mine down near the wood stove in the basement and it dried out in a couple hours.
Clod buster are a blast sorry I sold mine ran two 7 cell batteries and made a plow for it would push snow no problem.
Last I saw Tower hobby and A-main hobby were selling them. Mines definitely a keeper. That would be awesome with a plow on it. Lol

Love this idea as this happens to to many of my spare motors that I have laying around. I don’t take any prescription drugs as of yet, but easy enough to ask others if they have spares. Very cool idea my friend! Yours isn’t the only workshop desk that needs a cleaning , mine too is pretty cluttered as we speak. Thanks for sharing and a very Happy New Year to you!🎉🙌🥂

Working on bomb-proofing it! It does suck when stuff gets discontinued and finding parts for repairs becomes a whole adventure of its own! Hopefully it holds up and you can get back out wheeling with it! Wishing you all the best for the new year!

Love this set!! Every set I buy the Rock Wilson decals don't work too well. Very nice builds!!!!!
Thank you 👍 I bought these off eBay and I got lucky with the decals. They were just inside the instruction manuals. I put them in warm to hot water and basically let them release when they wanted to. Then I cleared them with floor polish so I would have any clear coat reactions. Now I've got a two Kenny Shrader/Alan Kulwiki kits to build that I bought from the same person on eBay... 🤞

I'm about to build this exact kit, wish I had the correct shade of orange, but I just bought whatever orange was closest to it.
That awesome. Definitely take your time and trim and sand bumpers so they fit in the body right. There were several different oranges used on the real cars so you'll be good 😊

Yeah it's been a lot of work but I have all winter to recooperate.. lol Now just need to get a drivers stand built and a scoring system. Should be a ton of fun when things thaw out.. 😁
Question wouldn’t that change the rotation of the motor???
With the Traxxas VXL system I just reversed 2 of the 3 wire since it's not a sensored system so it should be all good.. 🤞

Lots of hard core tinkering going on over there! Very cool creation and i look forward to seeing it when you get it wrapped up. I have never run anything on an oval so they are all foreign to me but I have seen them run and they are quick!
Yeah back in the day we used to turn the gearboxes on our goldpan RC-10's and make them mid motor to run dirt oval. It's just a bummer that those were all aluminum and the bandits plastic. Hopefully it goes like my little gears in my head are spinning the idea.. lol
