Hello everyone! As they are? I have there is a brushef version! And I have heard comments that the brushless version is very fragile in terms of diff and crown gears...can anyone give me a review on using the brushed version? From what I can see, they are very fragile. greetings (If I drive the Mad at no more than 21 mph) will I break anything?
I've had mine for a couple of weeks, and it is so stupid fun. It's my first 'go fast' so it's been a learning curve (22-25 mph is a long way from 5-7 with crawlers on the trails). So much fun out on a make shift bmx track. Gets REAL squirrelly on loose dirt over hard pack. Hard to get lined up for those sweet jumps. So much fun though, great stuff man. 🍻👊
HA! That's great you've got a little track to play on and catch some air. Bet the Mad Van feels way different to drive compared to rock crawlers; it's so fast and quick, like the rabbit to the turtle. Happy to hear you're enjoying the Mad Van. Have fun on those jumps man. -Brett
Many people have commented on all the plastic parts, but it's an inexpensive, beginner friendly model at around $200. The plastic may not look as appealing as other materials, but the plastic is a great way to absorb impact energy without breaking parts, so users can crash to a certain degree, and bounce back from it to keep driving. So it's meant to be forgiving to the user. It may not look as impressive but it's certainly better than a broken car. -Brett

That sounds awesome! Send us a photo when you get that body fitted on the chassis (brettb@amain.com). Will the tires fit under the body, or will they stick out? -Brett
Oh they would definitely stick out. I'm actually having some issues finding a suitable chassis with a short enough wheelbase (around 200mm/8") Shortest I've got is Tamiya TA-02T which is 10" The search continues...
The body almost looks a little too small and Too Short especially for where the shocks are mounted and show through other than that it looks pretty cool
I have a brand new Traxxas Velineon brushless system still in the box I had got for my son not knowing my wife had already bought him the exact same thing so my question is what would I need to do to the Mad Van for it to handle the brushless power or is it built well enough to handle it already? I'm thinking about getting it and stop the dust from collecting on the Velineon motor and esc in my garage...
That's a great question. With the metal driveshafts the truck should handle 2S Brushless ok, 3S should be ok too, but the metal center driveshaft may be needed. Not exactly sure what will happen though as we haven't tried this. Sounds like something fun to try. -Brett

Its ready to run straight out of the box BUT before you can run it you need to buy this that and the other, I always thought rtr meant you buy and then you drive it,maybe you have to get some battery's for the radio but that's it.
HA, there is some truth to that. Because shipping batteries has become so difficult (and expensive) many companies do not ship batteries with the vehicle anymore, so that's a big contributor. -Brett
They should make it bigger and have brushless motor in it. 1/6 or 1/8 scale. It's ok being 1/10.. but seem they should made different versions of this. .. looks kool!!
Yeah, kind of. It's not quite the same as a 1/10 2WD Stadium Truck size. In fact, the Mad Van is two inches wider than it's wheelbase. It's a unique platform, but i'd still say it's within the cusp of 1/10 scale. -Brett
Paul Clancy even if you whack the corner wall or tree or something, the arms will bend just enough for that sucker to slingshot out of there. Im not easy on my bashers so things happen. Lol
It looks like a good Monster Truck! I like how Team Associated offers two versions with the RTR and the Combo RTR with battery and charger. That really helps simplify things for beginners. Not sure if we'll get our hands on one, but we'll keep an eye out for one. -Brett
Nice; but why is Kyosho coming up with the ridiculous proprietary stub axles and drive hexes....not impressed by that, it's not innovative, just inconvenient.
I don't see why Kyosho don't put that extra $0.50 with it and make the ffher brushless I just dont understand no one's going to buy it if they got to upgrade it right off rip

All I see is the scooby doo van!!!
Looks more like a 1/12th scale then a 1/10th.
Yeah, kind of. It's not quite the same as a 1/10 2WD Stadium Truck size. In fact, the Mad Van is two inches wider than it's wheelbase. It's a unique platform, but i'd still say it's within the cusp of 1/10 scale.

But can it bounce? lmao
lunchbox 2.0
It would be awesome if it was NITRO
Fkin hate dogbones. They always pop out and disappear.
Polish them so you can find or paint em
Yea a friend told me years back, paint them yellow so you can find them. Never took the advice lol
Piece yellow tape, my bones only pop when truck getting sloppy
Paul Clancy even if you whack the corner wall or tree or something, the arms will bend just enough for that sucker to slingshot out of there. Im not easy on my bashers so things happen. Lol
What about the new team associated rival mt10 3s new rival truck from associated huh later review I guess
It looks like a good Monster Truck! I like how Team Associated offers two versions with the RTR and the Combo RTR with battery and charger. That really helps simplify things for beginners. Not sure if we'll get our hands on one, but we'll keep an eye out for one.

Should be “its” not “it’s” in the description.
Updated.

Remember when RTR meant RTR?
I remember when it meant RTB ready to break 🚗🙂
Lol nah not all of them
Too much plastic where it shouldn't be in my opinion. Kewl van tho 😎
Nice; but why is Kyosho coming up with the ridiculous proprietary stub axles and drive hexes....not impressed by that, it's not innovative, just inconvenient.
Well, the fact that it makes it possible to run a bigger bearing is a bonus - for starters...
I don't see why Kyosho don't put that extra $0.50 with it and make the ffher brushless I just dont understand no one's going to buy it if they got to upgrade it right off rip
Real Light....... none functioning??
I pity the fool.
Another odd scale rc from kyosho, 1/10 they say🤔??
And thats quite alot of chat about decals man! 🙄 lol
There sold out already 🤦🏻♂️Every time a new toy comes out every RUclipsr has to snatch them all up and be the first to review them to get that RUclips money
