    Chuck is awesome! Rode on the trails with him last summer. Out ripping up technical stuff at 80yrs old. Mad respect

      Ditto. Ran into him at Rampart and he asked if he could ride with me. We were the only ones there. I warned him, “I’m a newbie. You’re going to be so bored.”
      He was so patient. Lots of good advice. Great guy!

    I finally got mine installed on my 2013 300 XCW. It took 6 washers between the pedal and cylinder so it wouldn't bind and stay locked up. Seems to work well now.

    Hello Jeff just after a bit of advice about fitting a electron carb to a 2005 cr 250, will it work on that model because it has a servo controlled power valve and a cable going to the original carb ? Hope you don’t mind me asking it’s just I’m afraid I might buy it and it won’t work correctly, cheers gaz

    I see this as a useful product for downhill switchbacks. I can see how it would work great with an auto clutch, but for those of us with a manual clutch, do you keep the bike in neutral for these kind of situations?

    • @bradl45
      @bradl45 5 лет назад

      I ran a Recluse LHB on a KTM530 for 3 years. I never got around to installing a Rekluse clutch.
      It worked GREAT.
      My only issue I had to work out, going downhill in switchbacks(brake excels here), if I kept the bike in first gear, my rear brake fluid would get hot and the brake would fade(motor was working against my braking, lol).
      So I just got used to pulling the clutch when going slow. The Rekluse took some time to bleed, but instructions are top notch. I always had trouble getting the last of the air out(I think), level was just softer than I liked. I would zip tie lever in pulled postion, and over night I think some air escaped and level felt better.
      This OX looks VERY nice, and install looks easy, my new bike I'm going to try an OX!

    How do you fix the piston if you measured the distance incorrectly upon the first install?

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  Год назад

      Tom: What do you mean by "fix the piston"? If it didn't pop out and loose fluid you can just push it in and re-adjust.

    • @springfish169
      @springfish169 Год назад

      @@slaverace1 I meant I had a previous Ox rear brake that never felt very good-I think I didn't measure the pistons correctly upon my first install. Now I'm going to replace with the pro version, and I don't have a reliable piston position to measure against. I guess it's just going to be a situation where I install it and then adjust using the free play of the foot lever?

    I hope this is available for the 2016 KTM Freeride, or even the other rear Ox brakes
    Also I hope the rear brake pedal can be removed if this is installed.

    A few things you didn't mention. That hydraulic line will rub a hole in itself right behind and above where it bolts on. Each time you use the brake it moves up and down slightly. Over time it will wear a hole in itself. I've been wrapping mine with electrical tape and checking it periodically and replacing as needed. Also OX seems to have really went downhill. They won't answer the phone email or text. Absolutely no support anymore. Last year they were awesome. When mine rubbed a hole in the line they had me send it in for a free repair and put a protective cover on it for me. No charge. Now you can't even get a hold of them. I'm guessing they changed ownership.
