I did exactly what you did font everything a few times just a different word. When I moved it to Cricut I use stock paper and it cut much smaller. It was like a SS6. Not sure what I did wrong. TIA
When you design it in Silhouette, make a note of the file dimensions. When you open it in Cricut, resize the design to the size it was in Silhouette. Then it will cut correctly.
Hey Marilyn, another great video as always. You did an excellent job of explaining how to make this template. Thanks a lot for sharing, Looking forward to your next video 😍👍
Great job Marilyn and love the design! I have a Explorer Air 2 which was a recent birthday present to myself. Now, just have to learn the program which doesn't seem to difficult. Tracey
I purchased a few templates from Etsy and watching this video, I'm going to purchase the software and attempt to make my own. I am a new subscriber to you channel. Glad I found you. Thanks Marilyn!
Marilyn, this is an excellent tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing. I love that font! There are so many font sites out there that have that font, but I know some are not trustworthy sites. Can I ask where you downloaded yours from? DaFont is my usual source but they don't have it. Thanks so much!
Love your style of teaching! I’m going to get that software because you’ve made me feel like I can design my own rhinestones. Thank you so very much. 🤩👑
Thank you for such a wonderful compliment! You can purchase the software through swing design if you would like to. That's where I purchased mine. I use the Business Edition so that I can save my designs as SVG files. shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=964247&u=2315764&m=69853&urllink=&afftrack=
Hi? I love watching your videos and have learned so much from you and also a few of your crafting friends. I made a rhinestone design that I believe is original in Silhouette Studio Business edition and would like to list for sale on Etsy. I have never sold anything before and have been looking for a tutorial on how to upload the design to make it good to download and there isn't anything anywhere that I can find. Any tips on where I can get that information?
Do you also have Cricut Design Space? If so, I would open it in Cricut DS and see how it opens to make sure it would be good for Silhouette and Cricut. If you do not have Cricut, then maybe you could find a couple of people who you could send it to in order to see how it opens in Cricut DS. Good luck with your new venture!
Just out of curiosity, why didn’t you just print on your silouette…….I have both machines too, it’s very hard to find tutorials for the silouette, so thanks for this
@@MakingwithMarilyn oh 🤣🤣 I thought cause you were using silouette software you had it....well if you have any tutorials on how to use the silouette software I will watch everyone. Great video btw thanks 👍🏻
I have seen some people do that. I haven't done it and the stones don't come off, but I don't see an issue with it if you are more comfortable doing it that way. I buy my stones through a Buy In and the instructions on the stones don't talk about doing that. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. For some reasons when I create templates using the silhouette business edition , I find out that the ss10 I used usually come smaller after cutting is really frustrating. Kindly help on what I am not doing please. right
I use Silhouette Business edition to make my rhinestone templates. If you cut with a Silhouette, you can actually use a version that is a bit less than the Silhouette. I think it is called Designer edition, but I'm not for sure. I don't own a Silhouette, so I need the business edition b/c that is the only one that saves the designs as SVG files.
what is the correct size for ss10 stones please, my holes seem a little too big, but I made the template in sillhouette on ss10 and did not resize when I got to cricut. :(
The hole size should be .130 to .135 inches. I use .130 which is the default in Silhouette. After you make your design, take note of the overall size of the entire design so that when you take the design into Cricut Design Space, you can check to see if it came in correctly. If it did not, you can resize it in Cricut back to the correct size.
Hi Marilyn, I followed you video to make a RS design in Silhouette , saved as an SVG, but when I tried to upload in Cricut Design Space, It would not show the actual design, what could I be doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Marilyn, those flock dots are a pain in the pud, I have had so much drama getting started with rhinestones and just starting out, today One piece of flock ripped I don't know why I think the flock I purchased was/is too thin looking at yours. and the other was the backs of some of my rhinestones came off :( not enjoying the experience so far and have not even made a shirt yet.
How are you cutting your flock? With the white backing on or off? What machine are you using to cut the flock? There is a learning curve, but once you get it, it is so much fun.
Marilyn I'm watching your video and copying everything you do but I can not type the word sparkle and have it come out with the outline only. What am I missing here? I could you your help big time.
on one of your newer videos you were typing the word bling and it came out with the outline is it supposed to automatically type out with an outline or what, cuz my business edition is NOT doing the words with the outline
@@elyseo9336 type a word, then select the word. After that, open the rhinestone panel and click on the outline feature on the top left area. Let me watch the video in a bit to see what you are seeing.
