A surprisingly well done and informative review as I have never seen any of your previous reviews. Though I do have to tell you that "the best Aston Martin ever made" is the One-77. With only 77 built I could see why you would make the statement that you did (especially w/ it costing ~$1.7M US), but I have a feeling the One-77 wasn't in mind at that moment of your comment. Also, Aston doesn't offer B.R. green anymore unfortunately. It changed to A.M. green w/ the DB9 and is now Viridian green.
It's strength to weight ratio is higher than say, aluminum. So you at a certain weight, a piece of CF will be stronger than a piece of aluminum. Most CF parts that are exposed would be painted, so light scratches shouldn't affect it. More important is the fact that under heavy impact, CF has the possibility of shattering, whereas the aluminum would just bend.
Whew, I need a cold shower. I don't know how anyone could think an Aston would look like a Maserati, but regardless that upper echelon of cars are amazing. I want one of these. Now. In Magma Red or Marianas Blue. Thanks. Now taking donations.
The One-77 is a wonderful supercar, no question. The Vanquish is the highest-quality car Aston has put forth though. Now, it's not my favorite - that would be the V12 Vantage.
Carbon fiber is powerful strong glass. although its glass will not break and making the car less weight and faster. also giving it a racing sporty look. lots of people use carbon fiber to mod their cars already. aston martin comes stock.
This car is about sexiness and class. Much more so than the M6, even though that's a great car. I'm torn between this or getting a GTR and tuning it. Class vs savage performance.. I have a friend who has a modded GTR and an Aston DBS but I can't afford both. He's just crazy though. He got an R8 2 years ago too. lol. Freaking guy..
I noticed all the news cars nowadays are being made of carbon fiber... Isn't that less durable than metal? Carbon fiber gets scratched easily doesn't it?
It's just a shame the build quality makes Yugo seem like Lexus. As Jeremy Clarkson said, 'hand-built just means the doors will fall off.' (I own a DB 9 Volante - the cars are pure garbage and spend the majority of their lives in the shop).

Great review. That color has become my favorite after seeing the Vanquish and, oddly enough, the Polestar editions of Volvo's S40/60.

Seatbelt socket would look better with dark blue plastic insert. Red stands out too much. It looks cheap too. Just my 2cents from watching this.

Glass? It's interwoven carbon fibers..... :/ It is durable and lightweight but looks ugly and spliced when damaged. Still worth it.
