In the Hakka Styles the traditional dance is a unicorn, not the lion - if you look at the head they are different, as is the steps and movements of the unicorn dance.
Really think this stuff is over rated as no one in MMA uses this. I believe this stuff will get your ass kicked promptly in a street fight. Best to use these techniques for folding laundry or stirring noodle's in a wok!
Have you considered that nobody knows these styles, that they are rare and take more to train. Even more than that why can’t we just respect it for cultural preservation and general health and wellness. Especially Chow Gar Mantis, the training is very hard but if you train it for your whole life your health will be benefited greatly when you are old.
I've trained in Uechi ryu (Okinawan karate). You can see the roots of so many karate and kung fu styles, especially southern in this.
Great video.
Magnificent documentary. I love Hakka styles. Thanks for sharing

功夫唔會太遲,多老都有人學!
現武則多數年青人學,老年人則非常少打。因為都早死或傷殘了。
That's call Lion Dance. Not Unicorn.
Yeah, I was confused by that.

(How could it be overrated when no one knows about it in general)
