i mean im a decent sized player but when ever I get past a defender or get space for a layup I always miss hard and cant get cleanly through the defender for the layup
The deadliest move in the game everyone needs this in their bag regardless of what size you are it can be a crossover, separation move, set up, escape, retreat, anything
@@Chavanun555 well that could be said for anything. The deadliest move for any player is a made basket. But you won’t always be in position to just jack up a shot at all times over anybody without a separation move unless you’re curry, KD, or victor wembanyama
The slowed between the legs is really good against people when you’re playing pickup against people who don’t really bite on any of your moves and it helps you drive to the paint
Yeah it's actually perfect for people who don't play active defense. You need to be explosive enough to beat your defender though, if you aren't, then it's crucial to have that spin-move for when your defender cuts you off. Easy bucket every time even if your defender is faster than you
I have some ideas for videos: complete guide for footwork, complete guide for change of pace and how to master it. Thanks a lot for your videos coach!🔥
This video was super well put-together!! The attention to detail in the editing is crazy, and with the variety of clips in this video, it must have taken sooo much time!!! Appreciate your work for sure, keep putting stuff out!!! Also.. appreciate you including the girls, almost never see that in these types of videos ;)
Hi coach! I'm here again! It would be very great if you could make a video about how to score against tight post defense or in the inner part of the court. You see, our basketball defense is always in the inner side near the rim because players here at our country or local players (not professional players) cannot shoot from deep threes or threes so defense is tight near rim and I've been finding ways to counter this or score against them. The most effective one is shooting it further the mid range or shooting it on threes and I have been practicing my shooting in my vacant time which is only weekend 2 days because I'm busy at school and I want to learn more moves to counter it thank you! Sorry for bad English English is my third language and I'm bad at it
I can see you're playing with your background music, so thought I'd mention - there's a very low and bouncy feeling bass beat in the background of a ja morant highlights video I could link you to. It's memorising, I've watched it a million more times than I need to because of this, and always before I head out to play pickup ball at the park. Really feels appropriate for any ball handling related visual content.
Great video coach. I was wondering what the downsides are of choosing a between the legs over a normal cross. Personally I feel like that while it’s safer, it’s a lot slower but if I’m able to master the btl at a high speed as seen in some of the clips you showed. Wouldn’t it be better in every situation?
There are a lot of different ways to cross or go between the legs. But in general the crossover is more aggressive and can lead to easier blow-bys because the ball doesn't slow you down. But it is more risky because you're exposing the ball in front. Going between the legs is safer, but the ball slows you down.
Just wanna say that you won’t always get by your defender, remember to play team basketball. There are gonna be some times where you can’t use this move to get by some guys. Also don’t expect to watch a video and go out and perform, get in the gym, and work on your game.
Can you make a rebound guide coach, i think it's one of the most important thing in basketball and im really bad at it, im even miss catch the ball many times.
Defenders always think they got him on his 1st dribble - before he goes between his legs to a righty layup. Great go-to move that fits his playstyle. Great handles, reaction & deceleration without an elite 1st step burst.
Hey Frikki can you do a video for a "pinoy step🇵🇭"...Its Philipines version of eurostep...PLEASE THATS ONE OF THE MOST DEADLIEST MOVES...Its also very good for smaller guards...Please
BTL counter is nice but you need space between you and your defender. BTB is better in my opinion because it can be used in more situations, also when your defender is playing close to you. And because you can push off. And it takes less time to do, you can flow into it easy out of any dribbling move.
What videos would you like to see next?
getting past defenders that really use their body
Ngl I would find it interesting for u to go into depth about players game
i mean im a decent sized player but when ever I get past a defender or get space for a layup I always miss hard and cant get cleanly through the defender for the layup
getting past really tight defenders on the dribble, or off ball movement, or drills for shooting/finishing/handles etc
How to score when your defender has superior athletecism

No the deadliest move is to make the shot itself

Coach, can you make a tutorial how to avoid steals when dribble? Or how to protect the ball when dribble?
Use your off hand to pull/keep/push defenders hands away when driving
Watch his off hand video he has very similar videos on that same topic
You gonna get your cookies taken from time to time just try your best to trust your handle and you must learn to read and react. You got this 🤝
Get your body low keep your dribble low when attacking defender
Man you have the best coaching content ive seen, im going into the 8th grade in a few days and im planning to try out, your videos have helped a lot

Can you make a video about positioning in the court, find the open space the right way
I'm never doing a lateral dribble unless I want to get a shot off. Whether its a middy or a 3 or step back. But a simple between the legs I will do

Tbh btl and crossover are the two things you should learn first when you're new in basketball.
Even though its so basic for those who already mastered btl its still a very shifty move and everyone needs this in their bag.

Is BTB counter better than the BTL counter because I remember u ranking the BTB at S tier in ur move ranking video

Coach, what do you mean by " out of position or sleeping " in the hard btl dribble?
When your defender makes a slight mistake, is not in the right spot, doesn't react correctly to you or loses focus.
