クロノトリガーは唯一父との思い出のあるゲームでした。仕事一筋でほとんど遊んでくれなかった父と夜通しで遊んだのはクロノトリガーでした。程なくして父は多額の借金など色々ありわたしたちを虐待するようになりました。私は社会人になって初めて人とのコミュニケーションが上手く行かないことに気づき病院を受診して精神疾患であることがわかりました。わたしはど田舎のなんもない場所に移り住み鬱と向き合いながら暮らしています。自然の音だけでも癒しですがこの曲を流しながら見る自然の景色はあの頃の楽しく優しかった父とまた会えるような気がして何度も聞いてしまいます。
他の方の演奏も聞きましたが私は彼らが演奏している風の情景が世界で1番すきです。いつもありがとうございます。

Hell yeah! I did it all the time. It was that one song that made me feel like home, you know. Not sure if it makes sense or not, but this track is very special to me.
You were not alone. There were lots of us walking through the fields of Guardia, in different dimensions but at the same time, 600 AD, searching for that cozy feeling.

最初のワンフレーズを聴いた瞬間に鳥肌が立ちました。
クロノトリガーで一番好きで何度も聴いた曲なのですが、曲の中に新しい一面が見えたような気がします。
演奏が12年も前なのに新鮮で素晴らしいですね。この動画に出会えて嬉しいです。ありがとうございます。
この人たちは楽器の特性、曲の雰囲気と背景、そして叙情を分かってる。本当に音楽が好きなんだな。感動した。イントロ後のメインラインをウッドの弓とユニゾンしたチョイス、鳥肌。
エンディングも素直で素敵。あーホントいい音楽聞いた。

It is. There is nothing music copyright holders can do to stop you from covering their music, as long as you pay them the required cover licensing fee.
Japan is very different, my friend. Ever heard of doujins? Amateur works are unofficially supported by major companies. They don't have letter contracts for it or whatever, but they have been nothing but supportive of the hobbyist community.
well, the pokemon company doesnt share that supportive trait. they despise fanmade projects and ban them (even though they're non-commerical).

I've heard many VGM covers during my time in RUclips. I've heard artists who would read the scripts as they stand and play the music as is. I've heard artists who would add their own twist to the original piece. All wonderful works of art! But you three - my goodness - you three are spectacular!
One of the best part about your work is the synergy between all of you. No one stands higher, no one stands lower. Each part is played in conjuncture with each other and each man has a role to play - It's amazing! Because as it stands, the music you created is an inspired and original work based on the video game, rather than the other way around. You took the original piece and added your own CREATIVITY, deviating from the music sheet and applying your mastery, your own perspective, to the musical piece.
Best of all, you've captured the ESSENCE of the music. It's clear that you've played the game and you understand the context in which the music is being played. As gamers who played Chrono Trigger, we all know the emotion that the music captures: mystery, fear, uncertainty. All of which are the foundation to the immersion that one feels, AS SOON AS YOU STEP OUT OF THE TIME GATE AS CHRONO.
Many artists, and I mean many, have played musical scores trying to add their own style to the music - which is great don't get me wrong! But in doing so, they lose the essence of what the music is about, the emotion it's trying to portray. You three, on the other hand, encapsulate the essence of the music, the feel, the context - while adding your own creativity to the mix.
This is great! Amazing experience! Thank you for sharing us your abilities!

Jesus Christ, that bass solo deserves a lot more credit than given. In a tune that constantly changes key and a double bass no less, you have to be really on top to maintain consistency without it going a little too "free-jazzy".
