It's already 2022 and I still can't believe the cameraman didn't record the keyboard solo.
people in the back are looking her way... c'mon. It's a travesty. He could have left it at a wide shot and it would have been better. 2:28 It's clear he has no idea who's making that sound. He does this multiple times where he zooms in on bongos when it's the drum's he should focus on.

It's 2023, and almost 10 years later I am still upset that we did not get to witness the keyboard player absolutely demolish her incredible solo during one of the best live renditions of this song to ever exist.

She played one of the most incredible keyboard solos I’ve ever heard and I can’t imagine how the camera operator couldn’t detect the source of the shreddage. Thus begins my tradition of expressing my disdain as many of you here have maintained. May there be a second angle discovered somewhere at some time.

There is one, lost somewhere in this thread. Unfortunately, it's from the balcony and appeared to be recorded by some archaic recording device. Not the greatest quality, but the bright side is that you can see the slayer of the keys.

@@melayubenar3243 meh, it's a meme at this point, but it's literally true. I have watched the video more times than I can count though because it's so good, regardless.
Want to know what will rock your world? The sound you are hearing is not the sound that they were making. It didn't actually sound this good. This is similar to a music video where it shows them playing but the sound you are hearing is done in a studio. I'm not trying to say the artists aren't talented. It's just that the actual sound was nowhere near this good.

You know when a musician is of high quality when that musician smiles when playing
10 years later and it's baffling that a performance like this was filmed by such an amateur cameraman, who thought the keyboard solo was the guitarist's. Still, it's bone-chilling and eye-wetting. I absolutely love this performance.

As a fellow musician (though not in this league) i love seeing when musicians really genuinely enjoy the song they are playing. Many of us grew up with these songs having played the game so to hear it performed with so much heart is just the best kind of sweet.

I don’t know how many times way back in 1995 I would sit and let the opening cinematic play just to hear this. I never thought that 20 years later whole orchestras would be performing it. Best video game soundtrack ever.

I come back to this video often, and I think to myself how everyone on stage has all the different emotions I kind of felt and went through playing chrono trigger.
The electric guitarist, violinist, and bongo chick are vibing on a level that lights up my soul, can't explain it. They are channeling some serious fire 🔥

Rock opera at its finest. It's amazing how Square has been able to pack so much orchestral music in to their games. It's part of what makes me keep coming back to play them again and again.
I was looking for shower music and stumbled upon this. I've never heard something so beautiful and nostalgic that I broke down in tears. Truly a masterpiece, and equally well covered.

I feel as if the cameraman didn't know where and what instrument that was so he was like "It must be the guitarist..." and then realized oh shit it's not him, and then proceeds to operate the camera on to groups of people like "ehh, couldn't of missed it now since i filmed everything..."
I completely agree it: was truly devastating. The camera man basically robbed everyone of something truly epic and a moment of synthesizer genius never to be seen again. One can only close their eyes and feel the solo...
