Mixed Media Sea Shell Layout Tutorial featuring @graphic45papers Voyage Beneath the Sea by Sabaa
"Hello G45ers!
“This is Sabaa and I welcome you to my beautiful world of creativity.
Today I have a very different project for you all. It is “Sea Shell Mixed Media Layout” featuring a stunning collection Voyage Beneath the Sea Collection from Graphic 45.
This month we were asked to make a project using Deluxe Collector’s Edition (#G45feature) and I found this stunning collection best for my art work.
I have started my work with a 12” *12” chipboard sheet of 1200 gsm.
Then I got a Sea Shell layout from internet and printed it on A4 size paper and cut it. This way I got a pattern to trace on my chipboard and cut it accordingly.
To make my base strong and ready to work, I have applied Clear Gesso.
Once it has dried, I have traced the detailing and used sculpture paste to add some dimensions to my layout.
After giving detailing with the sculpture paste, it was looking like this.
Now I have applied Crackled Paste.
As it dried my base was ready to work. I have colored the layout with some ocean blue and little touch of moss green.
I have already cut out the beautiful sea element like plant, mermaid, sea horse and so on from the pattern paper. I have also got some die cut out ready to work on.
I have adorned the top with matching color theme flowers. I made sure the clear visibility of main characters of my pattern paper (i.e. mermaid, fish, sea horse)
One all the set up was done, I have charmed it with little touch of glitter, craft pallet, sequins and pearls.
And this was I have got a beautiful “Sea Shell Mixed Media Layout “ready.
