trying to learn this song with a piano app as someone with zero experience in piano or any other instruments (the most i've played was a melodica because in elementary we had to learn how to play indonesian national songs) and... not even 10 seconds in and i am struggling. why did i want to try learn it? for bragging rights, also to have something to show off since i am a very unremarkable person
I think alot of this is great, but also alot of the harmony is off, and the way the texture randomly changes sounds strange and wrong. Try using the notes in the chords for harmony, and keep texture consistent; change it gradually, or make it make sense if you want to do it suddenly (arpeggios, rubartos, glissandos can all make it easier) Additionally, try to spice the left hand up a bit, the repeatitiveness is quite boring. And keep right hand melody patterns more or less consistent, stick to playing in chords, octaves or single notes but switching between them randomly sounds wrong.
clearly you're not a trained musician, or you'd know the difference between ripping off and homage. A rip off would be better disguised. This clearly was inspired perfectly from Fugue in G minor, considering Bach was a German composer, and the subject of this song, Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (The Red Baron) flew in the German air force in WWI. Not a rip off, an homage.
@@JohnMkrvan inspiration is when you take a core idea and add your own layers onto it to make it somewhat original. but taking the literal exact thing and then transposing it down an octave, and then playing a completely irrelevant melody afterwards with not even a single hint of polyphony inside, THATS called plagiarism, that’s called increativity, thats called dare I say laziness. I know what you’re gonna say. oh but it’s just homage it’s just homage. bruv if you’re gonna do homage then at least make it a little more convincing please
