Wrong analysis in that Russia will be back in the region anytime soon with gusto & come to aid.
Most other things is on point.

not asking perhaps the most contentious question of the time - can/should Armenia try and orient itsefl more decisively and firmly towards the west? a feasible option? dissaponting.

Armenia has done without Russia all this time so what is different now ? They are not really defending Armenia . Like he says the agreement is as good as if it was in Roman Empire . Had no more significance. Its like a trophy wife .

Good talk, but pity the guest could offer no real answer to the best question, the one about hard power. Wishful optimism gets you nowhere.

Modern Armenia as we know it was created by Russia (from the 19th c. onward) and its fate will to a large extent remain dependent on how much Russia stays in the region. But it's not gonna be the same for ever.

@Owl Mirrior Nothing in this life is easy! But we have to make a move away from Russia before we lose what remains of Armenia and Artsakh. When your so-called "ally" is openly underming your sovereignty and territorial integrity, it's time to say no to this travesty!

He knows well future of Armenia is in west. He knows well the road goes to west, passes Turkey. Professor does play the fachist opinions to give listenners what they want. He also point out Armenia being only friend of Russia in the region. He souds that is a good thing. It definitely bad. Being surrounded with enemies of Russia can not be good. Armenian current foreign policies shaped by two ideas, being pro Russian and anti Turkey. And currently Armenia is most fachist country in the world. That is also bad. Compare the population they are definitely big enough. Armenia should shape their future by abondening fascihst ideas, concentrade peace and prosperity. And look west, pass Turkey... They will not dissappear, they will not love or hate Armenians .You lived 800 years together. Live another 1000.
