Shout out to this guy transforming indonesian cuisine to whole another level. Back when i was still live in socal barely any indonesian restaurant have such a delicate presentation. It's look like high end thai restaurant now. I'll definitely give a stop when visiting nearby area. Food look's mouth watergasm..

Yeah, western like undercooked meat, Japan like it raw, but man...Indonesian prefer overcooked meat!
So whoever chef talking like overcooked is a sin, come to Indonesia man!
Depend on how it cooked, slow cooked beef gonna stay tender even when cooked in long period, but if its steak its gonna taste like rubber theres even bad rendang beef in indonesian that taste like rubber because cooked improperly
High heat= faster cooking time
Slowcook= the more cooking time the more tender it become

All that food looked SOOO GOOD. Restaurant really looked like a 10/10, the food looked artistic giving me Shokugeki vibes while also looking so tasty. Love how delicious and tender ox tail is and can only imagine how great each dish was!
Papaya salad is one of my favorite food! 😋😋 The one you guys are eating looks so fancy! ^^
I will put this restaurant on my review list. Hopefully it will keep that high standard at any time and make it into the Top 10 Eats in our travel magazine.
This is the best I've seen. Like he said you can go eat there and dress casual and have fancy 5 star restaurant food. Open another restaurant in North cali.

Bone Kettle is definitely NYC abd DC caliber eats! I wish you guys would set up in San Diego as well. The food scene is growning here but not fast enough for me. I miss LA for that reason alone. This place is a food desert when it comes to Indo-Malay style cuisine. Yelp Indonesian restaurants in SD and you get only Thai. Scout the Convoy district in Clairmont Mesa (our largest and most popular mixed Asian business section), downtown Gaslamp area or La Jolla's University Town Center (UTC where Ding Tai Fung's newest outpost is located) are my picks for smartest business locations. There are other possibilites here . Contact me if I can help or if you have questions. Bottom line, I think your biz concept and food styling are very now and just wide ranging enough to attract Asians as well as Westerners, old and young. Bravo and best wishes Bone Kettle! I baked some lovely bone marrows that were cut cross ways with salt and pepper on top and ate with toastettes and it was gorgeous.
The dessert looks yummy. If you guys ever come around Murrieta, please stop by Spicy Noodles. You won’t regret.

Basically in Indonesia there are some of bone marrow soup and you can suck up the marrow with straw.
