I am working as a field inspector and do a bit of project engineering as well...I want to become a fully established project engineer that kind of feels like everything happens under my control.
I am a Registered Builder (construction Project manager) based in Nigeria, I have spent most of my years of practice in Mass housing production in the FCT Abuja and currently working as project Consultant for a number of projects. Good to see enlightenment on our career. So encouraging
working in a constraction company is my dream, I am a master's degree student in Engineering Management, and I graduated with a degree in Administration Management. My thesis is about project management in construction companies. I am also preparing for the PMP exam, although I do not have any experience in project management yet. Given my educational background and my thesis focus, do you think it is feasible for me to start my career as a supervisor or in a project management role immediately after graduation, even without prior experience in project management? Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your information.
No it’s sh*t, do tech. I’ve been working in the industry in the UK, Australia and NZ and for the first ten years its awesome, doing cool things outside, but then reality sets in and you are working for average pay, long hours with no enjoyment, just problems, issues and arguments! 😂
