I just got this job today after a masters degree in architecture Update on 23th of March 2023: I have now started my own construction management company. Update on March 2024: things are going well. Got few nice projects to work on.
Love this...we report the news and information surround the building trades industry that the mainstream media does not always pick up to give those building our communities a voice all over the US. I like how the presenter explains the process!
Hi sir, finally I'm writing my thoughts down here. Your channel has really inspired me. I spent a whole day going through your videos when I was preparing interviews for a site engineer role abroad, I'm soooo excited about this role. Even though it is true, I didn't realise how much this industry is worldwide saturated more importantly, how this has an effect on the everyday life of Indian engineers I grew up in India and 7 years before completed my B.TECH(CIVIL- ENGINEERING) and now I am doing normal civil engineer job in india !! This is so embraced and I feel this is a headache I still can't move abroad I am trying it. I want to encourage Indian engineering students, especially those from the Indian community and with lack of English barrier and also it being their second language, to follow their dreams to become an engineer in Abroad. Only one chance to give me I will perform definitely

@@based_yeoman9138 make sure you get your bachelor's the difference in pay is huge. I just accepted my first job for a little over 100k in Montana doing heavy civil. Do internships every summer at different companies that do different things.
Ive been doing roofing for almost 4 years and im honestly sick and tired of it But i got the experience .... Now i want to go into construction management and im gonna go back to college any advice anyone? I have some credits done but i need to catch up and get my bachelor's. Done killing myself physically but i gotta do what i gotta do for now
See if you have a program near you that does associates or applied associates degrees. It’s only a 2 year degree that goes over most of the material and it’s cheaper than doing all four years. I hear the experience is ultimately the most important thing in construction so I would suggest getting an associates for now and get that field experience and finish a bachelors at your own pace.
@@user-bp4qq7tt1u No, I was just curious as to why Joseph is curious. I don't know if he's learning English or what and had never heard it. I can't really convey tone of voice over text but I can see how my comment could have been interpreted as "You gotta problem with that?" -- but that's not the case.
If you want to be a construction manager you need a bachelors degree in construction management or construction science. You probably would also need a little bit of experience working in construction but idk.
@@ggupta3766 Yea you can, thats my path right now. I have an internship as a assistant project manager and ive just started my civil engineering degree
Construction management is a way to get to be a PM. If you want to move up faster then a civil engineering degree can help as youll eventually become a PE and be able to stamp off on plans etc.

That's the only money in construction without killing yourself is to manage other people, I've been told

Anthony C.S can you do a degree in civil engineering and work in construction as a path to become a construction manager?
I'm in school for it now and I'm attending Everglades university for my Bachelor's the best experience so far hands down!!
