I have been dealing with diarrhea with a dog for close to a year now. Spent lots of money on vets, blood tests, etc. At one point, he lost so much weight that he was down to skin and bones and I thought I might lose him. Before this, he was a picture of health and had beautiful muscles (a very active Border Collie), which he lost and has not yet been able to build back up. I have tried everything including most of the things you listed. At times, I would get good poops and think "Oh, YAY!" Then a day or two or three later, the bad diarrhea was back again. A few times, it would be better for a week or more and he would gain three to five pounds (HOORAY!), only to go back to cow pies or bad diarrhea again. He has been on CBD oil, both good pro- and pre-biotics, good kibble, and some other digestive supplements off and on (whatever seemed to work!). We give our dogs kefir with added D3+K2 3 times a week they also get CBD oil on alternative days. Their diet consits of beef, chicken, cod and hadock and occasionally tined salmon or tuna. All meals are served up with pre cooked basmati rice with added coconut oil and it's always servrd from the fridge as once rice has been cooked and put in the fridge it no longer becomes a corbohydrate starch based food but becomes feed for the good bacteria without the starch. They also get Coq10 5 times a week as one of the dogs suffers from epilepsy and a mild heart condition, she gets medication for the epilepsy but we didn't take the vets advice to put her on heart medication as well as i understand too many big pharma drugs can do more damage long term than good so we chose the epilepsy treatment over the heart medication because without epilepsy treatment she will have a fit every day and sometimes upto 3 times a day. She is 8 years old and was born with tooth displacia (no enamel) , when she was six years old we had 28 of her 42 teeth removed because we understand bad teeth can create poor health. Over the last 2 years at least 8 of her teeth have started to grow back and the vet is amazed. I had to explain to the vet that this is all down to the K2 + D3 in her diet as it diverets any excess calcium in the diet to the teeth. Both my wife and I have stopped smoking since 2018 and become vegetarians, and over the last 2 years and I myself started looking into comming off high blood pressure medication and statins for high cholesterol which i take alternative natural remedies and its worked , i was also diagnosed in 2021 with an underactive thyroid and my doctor wanted to put me on medication but I have cured this by taking iodine derived from sea kelp and its worked. I was also diagnosed with a very large benign prostate condition and have also managed to reverse my PSA results using alternative home remedies and now i can urinate with better pressure than I had 20 years ago. I have become a great believer in alternative natural remedies rather than take big pharma drugs that come with nasty side effects. I've even managed to reverse my liver spots which i suffered with for the last 4 years. Im 66 and other than a deteriorating spine condition I'm in better physical condition than I've been for the last 20 years. I am currently experimenting on myself using alternative healthy no side effects home remedies to hopefully regenarate my spine discs and i think its working because i have gone from a wheelchair to crutches to a walking stick which I only have to use on certain days probably 50% of the time. This has allowed me to get my motorcycle back on the road this summer because I've not riden my motorcycle for 10 years because of my spine condition. My doctor's had me on Tramadol, pregablin and antidepressants ever since my back surgery in 2016 but I no longer take any if them. By the way i replaced my antidepressants with P-5-P or B6 which I would advise anyone to try as it has given me back that positive outlook and a zest for life which is very beneficial. Its heen an absolute learning curve for me and all this research into alternative treatments started with the first lockdown. My first battle was my weight which took me 6 months to get from 20 stone down to a steady 13 stone. Since then i have reserched many things and everything i have done has had a positive effect on my life and my dogs. Happy days.

Hi David, he can no longer tollerate the diet given for several reasons. If you are to make a difference at this point, you MUST implement diet change right away and begin a course of strong CBD oil 3x daily along with other supplements, see this video: ruclips.net/video/q5A1VgziUEE/видео.html The suggestions in this video are a wise idea too. My Ebook: Feed Your Dog Better is a great place to begin: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ It has all the information you need about dogs and their nutrition needs and then contains 3 types of diet. Hello, thankyou for your great informative videos. We have an 11 year old rottweiler cross akita. In the last year we have noticed he was more prone to upset stomach. We have changed to hypoallergenic kibble which has really helped and given him solid stools. I put apple cider vinger in his water and also give him a couple drops of oregano oil that you recommended from a previous video. Still every now and again he gets loud gurgling stomach in the mornings accompanied by gas later on... can you recommend anything else to help? Im going to order the probiotics you stated aswell
My ebook has the Heathier Kibble diet that your dog needs: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ Basically you need to split that kibble meal in half and replace with fresh foods such as eggs, canned sardines, veg and meats. He really needs fresh food in the diet or that kibble will cause health issues going forward.
@DanScott1 thankyou for taking the time to reply! I have been reading your ebook. What do you think would be better... half the kibble with what you suggested or slowly cut the kibble out completely and replacing with raw food plus the extras I.e vegetables, eggs, sardines?
@@LanaP25 You could start 50/50 then move slowly to raw from there to allow the gut flora to get used to the change slowly. Use the soil based pribiotics while doing any diet changes and go slowly: amzn.to/3yoURqU Even start these small first week and build up.
Hi..In November 2022, my dog contracted an enterovirus. He was sick for about 5 days. Then he slowly recovered. I couldn't take him to the vet because he was generally aggressive and I treated him at home. He didn't eat food of course. He only drank a lot of water. I also took medicine that was dissolved in water. (Regidron). And I also dissolved a charcoal tablet in water. He recovered. I wonder if the dog has immunity after being infected with this virus?
No, he can get it again. At first sign next time for the dog, you too, take Oregano oil: amzn.to/3ulnF1T Add 1-2 drops to tsp olive/coconut oil, mix and add to dogs meal once daily for 5 -7 days then stop. For yourself, it's 4-6 drops in Tblsp olive oil, mix and swallow. Bit acrid but great wellness feeling after. Use as the household antibiotic. Works great and my personal option also.
Neem bark powder works, I use it. Stops plaque, cleans the teeth and good general tonic.: amzn.to/2ULzroL Will ned to brush or use finger to rub gums teeth daily. Can dip brush in coconut oil, then bark powder before use.
Hello Doctor, Thanks for your content! My wife and I have a 14 month old Corgi who has had diarrhea since we got him at 3 months. He has a history pancreatitis, has had giardia 2x, and tapeworms even. I feel like nothing we do keeps him healthy. He is currently on the royal canine low fat and fortiflora probiotic, and was treated for giardia and the tape worms and his poop's quality seemed to be improving ( inconsistently he was starting to produce some more solid stools ). and his blood work came back clean. Now he has gone back to constant soft stools, i suspect maybe he is reinfected with giardia again? not sure. Also he had clostridium in mid September, and developed a 106 fever and lethargy our vet recommended we do x-ray and ultrasound to see if anything else was going and all is well with his organs (besides mild pancreatitis) Anyways, sorry for the lengthy comment. Do you think there's something more going on here? What can we do to help prevent giardia and tape worms in the future? and what can I do to improve his gut health?
What's happening is this: The diet is of low nutritional quality (all vet supplied foods are). Combined with vaccinations, possible vet drugs and environmental pollution you have a dog with bad gut health or leaky gut. Here's what to do: Transition the dog to freeze dried raw foods that you moisten and feed: here's two great options: Bixby Rawbble Freeze Dried Raw chicken - amzn.to/3YH6GVD Bixby Rawble - Freeze Dried Lamb - amzn.to/3kDbUmX Go slowly with a small amount of new food added to old food and raise new to old food over two/three weeks until it's 100% new food. Add this soil based probiotic to the new food, again, just a small amount to srat and build up, this for gut health and easier digestion. Use this natural antibiotic Oregano oil: amzn.to/3ulnF1T add 1 drop to tsp olive oil and add to food once daily for 7 days then stop. Only use when needded for infection/cold/flu etc and for the people of the household too except it's 4 drops. Can uwse toppically too for skin issues. If there's worms you needBlack Walnut, Clove & Wormwood Extract: amzn.to/2S8paBE : 2 drops added to one meal daily for 14 days, stop 7 days, then a further 14 days and finished. All worms/giardia gone. And to first settle the gut inflammation use Slippery Elm Bark Powder - amzn.to/3CbHXx0 Feed on an empty stomach 1/2tsp in water or plain yoghurt to eat. Do this at the beggining for a week. Do all the above and you'll have a different dog in 30+ days.
I'm considering the Bixby Chicken, and I also wanted to add some broccoli, and maybe a raw egg to his diet as well. Do you think incorporating these things would be wise? and how would it impact his pancreatitis? If you think all of these things will be ok, how often do you think the broccoli and egg should be incorporated into diet?
I have a yorkshire terrier, thats about 4lbs. The vet thinks she has PLE . We have to take her back to the vet for an IV and more test. Do you recomend the pro biotics and bone broth inthis case as well?
The gut is inflamed and needs help. IV is a good idea. Start with some Slippery Elm Bark Powder - amzn.to/3CbHXx0 to coat the digestive system and soothe the gut lining. Feed inbetween meal when empty, just add to a littleplain no sugar yoghurt or whatever she'll eat with it mixed in. it's also nutritious. Then start a fresh food only diet, no carbs. Do this slowly over time. But start with just bone broth: Bone Broth (Brutus for Dogs): amzn.to/38AZ3uX or make your own. Add these probiotics to the new foods ie meats, eggs, canned sardines (in water) and a little part cooked and blended vegetables. Add the probiotics very small amount to begin with so the gut gets used to them over several weeks: amzn.to/3yoURqU Also add Gut Guard - amzn.to/3AwRsYe but again, start very small and build up over sveral weeks.
Hello sir we have a Doberman suddenly fall ill cause of vomiting n fever firstly tick fever was detected then her creatinine level was bit high from which she got treated through saline but after treatment she isn’t healthy passing black poop n seems bloated
how much bone broth do you recommend? What recommendations for healthy kibble? My 6 mo old puppy is experiencing issues right now. they gave me a probiotic and science diet/ID to see, I am really thinking of making my own but there are times we need the convenience
I recommend not using science diet, just as bad as the lowest quality kibbles and problems will continue to worsen. If you want to start with kibble as your base, use a high quality one that has real natural vitamins/minerals in it. Here's a video I made of three options: ruclips.net/video/HdmrW_FKTp4/видео.html Add 3-4 tablespoons full for a medium sized pup twice daily. Use a high quality probiotic, this one has 22 species, the most I can find (more species the better): amzn.to/3xqa2i0 Add some fresh food extras to the food. My free guide helps here: healthydogforlife.com/guide Or for the complete diet guide ( 3 diet options) ebook, have a look here: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ This will cover all your pups needs and naturally. All the best.
Slippery Elm Bark Powder - amzn.to/3CbHXx0 Give between meals, maybe add to some plain yoghurt as a treat. Med dog 1tsp daily. Will coat and smooth colon and bring down inflammation. You must of course sort out the cause, diet? Just dry food is not good enough, needs some fresh food elen=ments in the diet.
My mother’s dog has gone to 4 vets and specialist. Her dog throws up always at night or on a walk yellow bile. He poops yellow bile as well. We have changed the diet to an all natural diet and a food that cost a fortune and nothing helps. He is on probiotics and every vet says he has IBS and no cure. 2 and a half years of this with no hope.
I think settling the inflammed gut first will help. Two ways here, the instant way with L-glutamine powder - amzn.to/34wiNOn which you take 3grams, add to 100ml coconut water and let the dog drink it all up and brings gut relief within 30 mins. It's pretty tasteless. BTW good for any gut issues in people too (use 5grm in 200ml water and swallow). Give that to the dog once daily untill gut is better. Or use Slippery Elm Bark Powder - amzn.to/3CbHXx0 which coates the digestive tract from throat to anus, helping to soothe and lower inflammation. Just give once daily on an empty stomach, again untill obvious relief is there. The diet needs changing to something much more fresh food based and along the lines you are now taking your dog in. Note: Very low carbs, no vaccs, only soil based probiotics: amzn.to/3yoURqU Whats mums dogs all natural diet?

Happy days.
That's fantastic! Love stories like this and well done you for making that commitment, researching, then practicing until things worked.
I do like freeze dried greens for their antioxidant value and something that may help you: amzn.to/3R1m3HR
Have a look at the ingredient list. I make smoothies using one scoop several times a week. Use it with dogs too.

Hi, could you please let me know a good uk probiotic ?

Any suggestions on the best CBD oil to go along with the diet changes in the prebiotics and probiotics

Thanks for your information I'm trying to learn all I can about the digestive system my dog Bigfoot he bloats up every time he eats and my vet can't tell me what is going on with him it's so disheartening my dog Bigfoot is 14 years old and cannot walk anymore due to a slipped disc and pinched nerve he also has cancer
Hi David, he can no longer tollerate the diet given for several reasons. If you are to make a difference at this point, you MUST implement diet change right away and begin a course of strong CBD oil 3x daily along with other supplements, see this video: ruclips.net/video/q5A1VgziUEE/видео.html
The suggestions in this video are a wise idea too.
My Ebook: Feed Your Dog Better is a great place to begin: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/
It has all the information you need about dogs and their nutrition needs and then contains 3 types of diet. For your dog I highly recommend you go with the raw food diet to help stop the cancer as kibble feeds cancer.
My ebook has the Heathier Kibble diet that your dog needs: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/
Basically you need to split that kibble meal in half and replace with fresh foods such as eggs, canned sardines, veg and meats.
Use the soil based pribiotics while doing any diet changes and go slowly: amzn.to/3yoURqU
Even start these small first week and build up.
At first sign next time for the dog, you too, take Oregano oil: amzn.to/3ulnF1T
Add 1-2 drops to tsp olive/coconut oil, mix and add to dogs meal once daily for 5 -7 days then stop. For yourself, it's 4-6 drops in Tblsp olive oil, mix and swallow. Bit acrid but great wellness feeling after.
Use as the household antibiotic. Works great and my personal option also.
ok so if you don't use any kibble what do you suggest for their teeth if you are always feeding soft food
Neem bark powder works, I use it. Stops plaque, cleans the teeth and good general tonic.: amzn.to/2ULzroL
Will ned to brush or use finger to rub gums teeth daily. Can dip brush in coconut oil, then bark powder before use.
Hello Doctor,
Thanks for your content!
Now he has gone back to constant soft stools, i suspect maybe he is reinfected with giardia again? not sure.
Also he had clostridium in mid September, and developed a 106 fever and lethargy our vet recommended we do x-ray and ultrasound to see if anything else was going and all is well with his organs (besides mild pancreatitis)
Anyways, sorry for the lengthy comment.
Here's what to do:
Transition the dog to freeze dried raw foods that you moisten and feed: here's two great options: Bixby Rawbble Freeze Dried Raw chicken - amzn.to/3YH6GVD
Bixby Rawble - Freeze Dried Lamb - amzn.to/3kDbUmX
Go slowly with a small amount of new food added to old food and raise new to old food over two/three weeks until it's 100% new food.
If there's worms you needBlack Walnut, Clove & Wormwood Extract: amzn.to/2S8paBE :
2 drops added to one meal daily for 14 days, stop 7 days, then a further 14 days and finished. All worms/giardia gone.
And to first settle the gut inflammation use Slippery Elm Bark Powder - amzn.to/3CbHXx0
Feed on an empty stomach 1/2tsp in water or plain yoghurt to eat.
@@estebanbello663 Yes, very wise, add them small and slow to begin with so the gut gets used to new foods. add daily. Crush/blend the veg.

Add the probiotics very small amount to begin with so the gut gets used to them over several weeks: amzn.to/3yoURqU
Also add Gut Guard - amzn.to/3AwRsYe but again, start very small and build up over sveral weeks.
Hello sir we have a Doberman suddenly fall ill cause of vomiting n fever firstly tick fever was detected then her creatinine level was bit high from which she got treated through saline but after treatment she isn’t healthy passing black poop n seems bloated
Tricky to tell without history. Gut health seems poor. The tick issue, is the dog positive to a tick born disease?
Is the dog eating? What diet? Meds?
Thankyou sir
My pleasure... it all starts with the gut.
how much bone broth do you recommend? What recommendations for healthy kibble? My 6 mo old puppy is experiencing issues right now. they gave me a probiotic and science diet/ID to see, I am really thinking of making my own but there are times we need the convenience
I recommend not using science diet, just as bad as the lowest quality kibbles and problems will continue to worsen.
If you want to start with kibble as your base, use a high quality one that has real natural vitamins/minerals in it. Here's a video I made of three options: ruclips.net/video/HdmrW_FKTp4/видео.html
Add 3-4 tablespoons full for a medium sized pup twice daily. Use a high quality probiotic, this one has 22 species, the most I can find (more species the better): amzn.to/3xqa2i0
Add some fresh food extras to the food. My free guide helps here: healthydogforlife.com/guide
Or for the complete diet guide ( 3 diet options) ebook, have a look here: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/

@@DanScott1 thank you, although she is doing better, I am preparing to make my own and have it readily avail for her. I will check out your video!
@@ItsMarieD Your welcome, lots of good information in my last reply for you to work with Marie.
My dog has some swelling in the colon please suggest something natural for him 🙏 please I've tried all medicine
Slippery Elm Bark Powder - amzn.to/3CbHXx0
Give between meals, maybe add to some plain yoghurt as a treat.
Note: Very low carbs, no vaccs, only soil based probiotics: amzn.to/3yoURqU
Whats mums dogs all natural diet?
@@DanScott1 we got all the items. It’s been almost two weeks and one of the items is making the dog puke 3 times a day. Plus can’t pick him up because his stomach hurts bad. Have an idea what to eliminate?
@@Daddynfhjncftv The probiotics you introduce small and slow the first week or two or it can make the dog sick. The other two should not be a problem. Stop the L-glutamine and focus on the slippery elm once daily on an empty stomach.

Here's the probiotics: amzn.to/3J3IC7w and green immune superfood for tons of important antioxidants: healthydogforlife.com/GreenImmuneSuperfood
Also add some canned sardines to the meals: 12 Pack Sardines - amzn.to/3vaXrj6
I'd stick with the above for now, should really benefit your dog. Add some extra raw eggs too.
Can you buy organic bone broth instead of the powder?
Yes, try this one: amzn.to/3GNkLY2
I feed my dog chiken and rice to my dogs they don't Drink enough water hence Their scat doesn't come out too well
What should I add so they have good boul movement
Lots or raw eggs, part cooked and crushed vegetables, meat proteins, some cooked pumpkin, canned sardines in water and some raw meaty bones. Feed less carbs like rice, not the best food for dogs, they needs proteins.
So bone broth for undigested carrots in potty? Thanks Dan!
Blend veg so it's digested properly.

Any probiotics? Human ingested too?

One of the things I'm learning is never give your dog spicy food.
Oh so true and messy!
Is apple cider vinegar okay to give your dog for gut health
Yes it's great. You can a spoon to the water bowl and the food bowl.
I am looking for natural foods to feed my dog that has probiotics in it I’m not looking to buy someone’s pill
Natural foods that include probiotics are things like raw green tripe, garlic, kefir and greek style yoghurt.
What will I do to help digest the bones that my dog ate? 🥺 I'm afraid it can cause serious illness to my dog.
Nothing really, takes 2-6 hours and it's all over for digestion..
Raw bones are fine but this sounds like cooked bones which are harder to digest but still will go through just fine 9 times out of 10.
Get probiotics as they help a lot: amzn.to/3xqa2i0
Bone broth is so bad . The bone is the part of the animal that contains the illness :(
Bone broth is made with healthy bones from healthy animals. The unhealthy ones are sent to the abbatoir and end up in pet food.

@@sammorris2934 Bone broth works really well. Used it for years as have many others.
Dog “gut health”😂 They have concentrated acid in their digestive tract that can turn bones into jelly. Here are 5 things that contribute to robust bacteria in your dog’s gut.
1) Cat sh*t
2) Something dead they find on a walk
3) meat from the fridge that is going bad
4)sticks
5) Another dog’s sh*t
