    A soft, clean bed, roof over my head, people that love me, and food on my table...count your blessings. There are many in this world that have absolutely nothing. A simple life like mine would be Heaven for so many.

    Took the train every year with kids from Sacramentoto. It never got old. Used to go on drives around dusk, herds of elks on the east side. Only road that can touch it, is trail ridge road in rocky mountain National Park. Miss those days big time

    It is by far the the best to drive from west to east in the afternoon. The west side is the most spectacular section and is lit by the sun in the afternoon. Also, the Highline Trail from Logan Pass is one of the very most beautiful hikes I have ever taken.

    I spent the two of the best summers of my life working in a couple of hotels in the park. What a gas, so much to see. If you have high school grad's looking for something to do for a summer before college, send them here. They won't make a lot of $$, but they will see untold beauty and have a ton of fun.

    Hello
    I wanted to leave a comment on a different video, but comments were not allowed.
    We love travel and visited Glacier on a tour last year. We loved it. We are stuck in the stay home order. Watching your wonderful, informative videos helps us maintain our sanity during a time we are not allowed to travel. Thank you for making them.
    JK

      You’re welcome! Which of mine don’t allow comments? I hope you were able to see the 9O+ min show on glacier. FYI- I also have a 90 min show on a Tour of Utah’s park. Sounds like you might like it

      @@TheWestisBig There were 2. One if them was the Glacier segment that talked about the Lodges. Now they all show up receiving comments. beats me. Either way, still want to say thanks. I'm hoping to get to Canada this year if the boarder opens. Hopefully Glacier next year. Saw your video driving the dusty roads of the southwest. Looks too dusty and hot for us. Arches is typical of tourist photographer locations. Everyone packs light and leaves courtesy and manners at home

      I assume you know the east side of the park is closed for the season. See my channel’s Covid-19 video for more info. and follow rhe park on twitter!! the west side entrance has been closing each morning because of over crowding. it has been reopening in the afternoon until over crowding forces closure again.

    The Glacier has grown considerably sense I was a kid in 1976 visiting the park.
    It looks to be twice the size, why do they say it's disappearing ?
    The mountains look smaller now, I guess living in the mountains all my life can do that.
    I think it's the prettiest place in north America, even prettier than Yellowstone.

    • @TheWestisBig

      I've been to almost all the National Parks west of the Mississippi and I agree Glacier is my favorite place too.

      It was shrinking when they put up the signs, but they actually took the signs down in the past year because the glaciers actually have gotten larger

    • @VIi726
      @VIi726 5 лет назад

      Jake Edgell no that is not why. It’s because the signs said they were going to be gone by 2020 and they aren’t. You are wrong about them getting bigger

      @TheWestisBig  6 лет назад

      To hard to say. I like to go after Labor Day-- smaller clouds and cooler temps. bear grass bloom in July-ish. FYI- the Sun Road usually isn't open until late June due to snow plowing operations. Check the Parks web site for road info.

    • @VIi726

      vjethk I live here but I would recommend September. Cooler temps, smaller crowds, you can see the park mid transition to fall, elk are mating so you have better chances to see them. Really no bad time to go though
