The last man puzzle was fun to build with my 5 year old and 6 year old grandkids. I bought the tees. I cut the triangle and then marked the places for the holes. I set the stop on the drill press. The kids took over at the drill press. With me right by their side, they would line up the marked spot to the drill bit. I would hold it in place. They would turn on the press, drill the hole, turn off the drill press, sweep the dust away and on to the next hole. They spent some time sanding and finishing. Now they had a present that they made to give to someone else.
Oh that's so great! It is a blessing to be able to create things and make memories with our kids and grandkids. Thanks for watching and for your wonderful comment!🙂
Thank you sir! Yeah living in Minnesota I always need to bring my glues and finishes in the house so they don't freeze in my shop. I need to make a little glue/finish caddy too. Yeah it's fun making different puzzles and that's what I want to do in the new year; more puzzles, brain teasers, and even toys. I also want to make more puzzle boxes. I am always learning. Thanks again for watching and for your comment.🙂
Great job! 😊 hubby just made 110 snowman ornaments and 18 tic tac toe games with marbles they store inside and I got to detail sand, paint and stain (oh joy lol) they turned out cute we made them for children church they had a competition and winners got tic tac toe and he felt bad for the rest so 3 days before decided on the ornaments. I just loved the Jesus and cross puzzle’s going to put those on my list to make. He uses his self built CNC but I just got a bandsaw for Christmas and I can’t wait to get out and make something cool been dabbling in crafty wood things for years now and now I just been making stuff cuz I just like making things. Thanks for the inspiration.
Cool! I'm a 72 year old trucker myself. 53 years now. Also do woodworking when I'm home. I live in Northern Indiana. I am leaving for my first trip of the year on Sunday the 5th. 3 stops in Ontario and Quebec. Haul boats for Smoker Craft. Start in Orillia, ON last one Ville Marie, Quebec. I'm definitely going to try some of those games and puzzles for my Grandchildren!
Thanks so much for watching. Oh that sounds like a great run. I've never been to Canada or Alaska we don't go that direction, but maybe someday. Stay safe out there and Happy New Year!🙂
Happy New Year's Eve.Thanks for Sharing! I did my first puzzle/ sagmentation nativity out of the scroll saw woodworking craft magazine. I made it for the believes store for young adults. My first mistake was I used hard red oak 3/4 of an inch came out beautiful but it was hard cutting it.
Oh I bet it's beautiful! I enjoy making different Nativities. I use oak often and it cuts nice for me even thick. I put clear packing tape on the back of oak and all hardwoods. It cools the blade, doesn't burn, cuts smoother, and blades last longer. Works for me. Thanks for watching Rose and Happy New Year!🙂
Sorry I really don't have much for patterns. I just make templates, and most of these are just made up. You could screenshot pictures from the video and try to make them. That's what I do. But there's also tons of free patterns of most everything out there. Just Google whatever shape or pattern you want and print. I make a lot of my own patterns and designs. If I can do it anyone can. Thanks for watching!🙂
Interesting! First time here. I will definitely return!
Thanks so much! There's so much fun to be had making things from wood. I have so much more to learn.🙂
