Something to add to your toolbox: I had a 60's vehicle once that would start and die as soon as the starter disengaged. Turned out, on the starter solenoid the small wire on the left went through a ceramic resistor to the keyswitch and the one on the right went straight to the coil giving a hotter spark during starting. My resistor had gone out, causing the engine to die when the solenoid cut out.

we call them anti foulers they are used when an engine has blow by in the cylinder and keeps fouling out the plug with oil from the blow by so the antifouler pulls the plug out farther from the cylinder to help keep it away from the oil and prevent a miss in that cylinder. Enjoying the channel keep up the good job.

Hello Again From Kentucky, The “NonFoulers” were a band aid approach to dealing with cylinders that had problems with oil blow by which could also include bad valve stem seal’s which somewhat kept the engine oil from fouling the spark plugs. I have used those things before myself with both good and bad results. From your compression test that I had seen, I would try to replace the valve stem seals first.

@@JMRRebuildersIt’s been quite a while since I had seen or heard mention regarding the “NonFoulers” until the question was asked.
I’m not sure if Dorman still offers those things these days, But before the fuel injection engines become very common, Once the older engines reached a good number of miles the “NonFoulers” could buy you a bit of time until you could deal with the valve stem seals or whatever you chose not to do that you probably should have done. Yeah I will stick with that explanation.(LOL).

A 302. Is a good motor but the 300 6.cyl is the best in my book. I have a 81 f150 300. 6cyl. 4 speed 4wd. Pulls like a scalded dog. Pulled many Chevy's out with it. In the mud and snow or where they couldn't go. Big Mike from Kentucky

Whenever these old fords run only when the starter is spinning it is a BALANCE RESISTOR issue! 100% your issue

@@JMRRebuilders it looks like it wasn’t your issue in this video I just commented as I was watching and it was only seeming to stay running with starter engaged. It’s part of the ignition system there’s tons of videos of people running into that issue getting these old fords running. Just a mental note for any future revivals that may be your issue if that is your symptom. Thanks for saving this old ford ! Coming from a GM guy

Great question. To be honest we are currently working on a couple in the background. Honestly people don't seem to like those videos as much. Would you be interested in a follow up on this truck? Thanks for comment and support

At least other provinces weren’t so near sighted and kept their Government houses…
Perhaps downsizing the square footage would have been a better choice…same garbage happened with the old university Armoury of the 48th…most politicians are wacko
