A major issue here is that for all comparisons presented are by taking Gemini Ultra or Gemini Pro with ChatGPT. And guess what, these are future capabilities and not yet present with Google’s Gemini. Also the demo video shared by Google has been heavily criticised for being an edited version and not the actual way that Gemini works.
In short, let’s not claim based on future capabilities. Let’s see what Gemini has to offer right now and then decide which works best.

I think few things are being missed in this video. One is that Gemini Ultra's benchmark was not the same way as ChatGPT, they did the prompts differently. So it wasn't same prompt in ChatGPT vs Gemini Ultra. So while Gemini has promise, its excessive cost of developing the model and this means, its still wait and watch. If Google has such an amount of data already, then why bard answered incorrectly and fall the Google's stock suddenly?. .Is it due to the fault of the developers or it because of the urgency created by the open ai chatGPT?

This AI war is going to be a long one for sure and I think out of nowhere some new modal will come which will have the potential to disrupt the market of both the tech giants, and if that happens microsoft will survive since it has various different business but google's main revenue generator being ads make it a tough competition for them. With the rise of new technologies, new players are surely gonna take market by storm. We have already witnessed this in OpenAI's case!

By the time this video got published, it broke the news all over that google released the video which was not true results of Gemini. And bard (Gemini pro version) admitting it's built on top of OpenAI, which embarrassed google heavily.
As a technology sound person, my take is that probably Microsoft will have the upper hand here in terms of market share. But other companies will also catch-up.
Ms has a chance to integrate gen ai tech across all it's products, and google also have the chance to integrate theirs.
Microsoft lost the smartphone battle to Android, they better win this AI battle
