After posting I was kindly told by a friend that the symbol I mistook for "xx" is the Mandarin symbol for woman, so the size is woman's large! Please stop commenting this, I can't change the original video and it's super annoying lol

Every cosplayer knows these struggles:
Every cosplay feeling like cheap plastic or strange silky material.
The zippers on the cosplay getting stuck.
The costume being too small or too big, especially if it's both.
The details being ironed on instead of embroidered and falling or peeling off.
Everything being attached by velcro or safety pins.

Especially the logo one... the logo on my ibuki cosplay fell off
I relate to sizing issues since I have very odd proportions
I closet cosplay all the time because I surprisingly have a lot of close to canon outfits in my wardrobe.

I know I'm late and I haven't watched the video completely yet, but when you say you think the size is "xxl" the package looks like its saying more "女L". "女" being the character for women in Chinese and Japanese. so the seller is probably just stating its a women's size large. sorry for rambling, gonna keep watching now!

I actually think I got this exact cosplay and I was having the same problem. The top was so hard to get on, yet the skirt was so big on me. Like I don't understand how they could mess up on sizing that badly...

I want to say, I'm a 12 year old who wants to start cosplaying! I am going to learn to sew but I cant sew yet so my first cosplay that I used on Halloween was an Amazon cosplay. I was Sayori from Doki Doki Literature Club and I was really excited because she is the ultimate cinnamon bun to me. The wig was pretty cool to me, but the cosplay itself was iffy. The skirt and button up shirt were a bit tight, however the vest and blazer were a bit too big. The skirt was probably because I'm a bit chubby but it doesnt make sense for some parts to be differently sized than others. I want to add that the skirt was a bit shorter than I'd like. The tie part came untied easily but I dont know if it was me and my dad's bad tying of it. At least I had a good time in the cosplay. I'm hoping to do a female and human papyrus from undertale this year, but I'm not sure yet

Watching this video has made me realise that skirts must be a problem for sizing with cosplays for this franchise. I own a Fukawa Toko cosplay and despite ordering the right size for me, I have to fold the skirt in and safety pin it. Otherwise I get that lovely construction site worker look crossed with a high-school girl (trust me, not a pretty sight!)

Also! About the zipper part, i recomend trying to get cosplays have invole school uniforms of anoy sort with a zipper! I got a Ibuki Mioda cosplay before that didn't have a zipoer and it broke when i took it off.

LMAO I bought a Midari cosplay that was great quality and fit just well, but i SWEAR my hips are too big for the skirt and i have the same zipper and OMG it's so hard to get it off and on. My mom usually has to help me with it TwT

4:42 this is actually on my toga cosplay!! it disconnects so that you can put it on easier (i think). just be sure to take it off when you machine wash the costume otherwise it might fall off :(
I got the exact same Sayaka cosplay as you in May and mine had The EXACT SAME ISSUES- the skirt was HUGE despite me ordering a medium. I received an XXL. However other than that I do think the cosplay is quite nice!
Yes! The garment itself isn't bad in terms of quality, but the sizing was SO WEIRD. It's like it was designed by someone with only a vague understanding of human proportions XD
@@ChelleBelleCosplay I’m quite skinny so the sKIRT IS FRIGGEN HUGE AND COULD PROBABLY FIT TWO MORE PEOPLE IN IT- but despite that I don’t think it deserves the terrible rating! The skirt (despite it being huge) is actually really nice compared to others that I’ve seen and the bow is actually big!

So I’m not the only one that got a larger skirt for a cosplay! For Halloween I bought a Maki Harukawa cosplay. So I looked at the size chart and got the size that showed would fit me. It came, I didn’t even bother to try it on it was so small. So I returned it and got a larger size that fit. The shirt was kind of small but the skirt fit perfectly so if I got the next size up the skirt would’ve been too big. The skirt was just elastic but it was my first cosplay I bought so I was fine with it. I wonder if it’s just how the Asian sizing works.

I bought a Kaede early to mid June 2020 and either it is still not here in January 2021 or Amazon send me Sonia instead since I don't remember ever having ordered her. When I bought it, it was 3 stars, but now it's dropped to I think 1.2 stars

I though Sayaka Maizono's case was very easy because from the very because you could see "L-E-O" and it was prettt easy to put together that Leon killed her

frooom my experience with that sayaka cosplay, (p sure it’s the same brand) the skirt is preeeetty loose, the shirt feels fine, and the socks feel fine. (5’2)
I have seen worse, like for example- I got a Komaru cosplay ( dr3 another ep ) and I got my normal size, It was to small, with the skirt for it, it was good but small, the socks tho, smelled. The shirt didnt work so I used my Ibuki one. becuase they looked alike, Yk?
