Imagine you save someone’s life from a velociraptor attacking them and they just say “good job” and frisbee a protein bar at ya
Back when this game was in arcades, there used to be lines of dozens of people long just to play this. I miss those old days
superzilla784 i got the arcade at cc pizza
It was pretty revolutionary when it first came out.
There used to be this arcade called Kahunahville at the Oxford Valley Mall in Pennsylvania and like you there would be rows of people waiting to play. Goddanm I miss arcades.
Me and my sister pass this game on the arcade... was a very rush game ..... the final stage was sick!
why? all you do is shoot the same raptors over and over
Man, I remember playing this as a kid and thinking those were the most realistic graphics I've ever seen. Man, I miss those days...
Same
Why? Isn't it better to be in control of your life instead of at the mercy of someone else?
They were the most realistic at the time :)
I know this comment is 5 years old, but same here.
Man I remember playing this and being scared of it back in like 2008 or 2010, watching it now I wonder why I could be scared of PS1 graphics lol
The Carnotaurus is one of the most underrated boss in this arcade game which this is one of the best design of Carnotaur I’ve ever seen in underrated media of Jurassic Park
It's one of my go-to's when I need to add dinos in Evolution. Plus, you can make them have various colors which is sweet.
To bad it wasn’t actually in the movie however it did appear in the novel adaptation
Arcade games are not the same anymore today. These were the golden days.
Those card machine games feel like a rip off
I agree this game was still around in a arcade pizza place called BIG Z even though it came out in the 90,s it was still around when I was young in the early to late 2000’s
@@joshuaoh761I miss when they still did coins
I really like the little trivia regarding the game, the movie and the dinosaurs themselves, I love when people who do "lets plays" put effort in those things.
ArmaBiologica35 Thank you, I appreciate it.
@@brianbenfield3270 I think we can all see that
Don’t know about some of those facts, but still neat
Indeed.
It makes the experience even more enticing.
Especially since they make more interesting discoveries about dinosaurs ever day.
What with all the new findings.
@@ARWEI0 Are you going to play the Jurassic Park 3 arcade?
I'm from Vegas and when I was a kid we used to have this gigantic arcade underground on the strip called Gameworks (they tried reopening it in like 2015 in a new location but it had less games and experiences and closed down permanently last year). Well this game was the highlight because Gameworks hired some engineers to rig a whole ride setup where you would literally spin and flip in accordance to the game. It also had Dolby sound speakers to make it seem more real. It's been like 20 years since I've played it and I've never forgotten how cool that 4D version of this game was.
Yeah it's supposedly called the Special Edition. Man I wish I played that version.
Thank you for showing the alternatives to the quicktime events.
You're welcome, I hope you enjoyed the video.
ARWEI0 how are you able to do those alternatives?
@@yeetman2773 Multiple playthroughs.
Man! This and The house of the dead 2 were the kings of light gun arcades.

7:17 In the 1st book John Hammond dies from a pack of Compsognathus! One of the many changes that was done probably because they wanted to do it with Lost World instead. 😮 Then again, the river boat scene in Lost World was moved to Jurassic Park 3.
14:34 poor raptor learned how to travel by boat and just dies

One of my fondest childhood memories was playing this game at Chuck E cheese!
Me too!
I remember playing this at Peter Piper Pizza. This was my game next to Top Skater and the Star Wars Trilogy arcade.
Camelot Park, later known as Boomers, for me. :)
I know this comment is 5 years old, but I played it at the Amazing Pizza Machine! Also, I've been to Chuck E Cheese's when I was little! The one in my town has changed a little.
For us it was Grand Slam. I think they are basically the same thing? - Arcade, mini golf, batting cages, laser tag, bumper cars?
Loved how, with the female T-Rex, they change "Tyrant Lizard KING" to "Tyrant Lizard Queen" as if saying "Ooops, my bad".
Well, it is a female T-REX, so it makes sense doesn't it? Glad you noticed!
Well they all look female
Ricardo Aguayo The T-Rex was triggered.
@@kiloren6767 i always think all of them male lol
@@ARWEI0 Shouldn't the female be called "Tyrannosaurus Regina?"
This on was my favorite game to play in arcades if they had it too bad it was never ported to home consoles like house of the dead was for the wii it would've been perfect.
+wacey murphy Ghost Squad was also ported to the wii, and it was published by SEGA as well. Why they didn't do the same for this is anyone's guess. It could have been due to licensing issues.
ARWEI0 that was the case SEGA had plans for a Dreamcast port back in the day but Universal shot the idea down so the port never got into development stages
Bad move on Universal's part. It's not like they were against video games.
ARWEI0 honestly I think Sega should make a new arcade Jurassic Park game since they’re still making arcade games in Japan. Maybe a tie in to Fallen Kingdom using TLW arcade as a basis. I mean, House of the Dead is getting a revival in the arcades this year using UE4, so Universal get them on it. Maybe even finally a home port with revamped graphics (or better yet being able to play as either similar to Master Chief Collection) and new exclusive levels since the game still clearly has a following and they’re getting increasingly harder to find.
Ultimately, it all falls on who owns what licences; but I agree. Raw Thrills did release a new JP Arcade game in 2015, and some units even had the air-ride system like the 94 game. I would love to see even more JP Arcade games, and HD ports of older games would be cool too.
I remember when I played through the whole game with my Dad at an arcade, once. I don’t remember where or when it happened, but I remember wanting the game at home, not realizing arcade games can’t really be brought home. I also must thank the game for being my introduction to Jurassic Park, as a whole.
I know I’m getting to this quite a bit late, but it’s really cool that you not only posted the full game with alternate paths, but added in genuinely interesting and educational facts. Kudos to you friend, this is the sort of content you don’t see often, but really should.
Hey Thanks! Appreciate it.
Damn right.
Most people are too lazy to even LOOK UP facts, much less post them!
Hands down my favorite game at the 1990s arcade. It actually scared me a lot. When the Rex walked around the booth rumbled, and everything looked intimating on the big screen
i love how theres pieces of info as the game goes along and also exploits the parts where u dont get success. best gameplay vid ever
Thanks, appreciate it!
Look like InGen spliced a chameleon with the DNA of the Carnotaurus
i don't think they needed to the put the big chameleon eyes on the carnotaurus
which is actually what they could do in the novel
*Throws giant chunk of Roof at you*
*Bounces off with a punch sound effect*
Chuck Noris was playing the male character to him it was only a monday punch.
Me and my younger brother were playing this game like crazy. We were a true team and the whole Jurassic Park trembled upon us. Those were such good times
I always liked the abilities given to the Carnasourus and Dilophosaurs. Kinda to represent that we don’t know everything about dinosaurs and if we brought them back some might be able to do weird shit.
the point is that they are genetically engineered. DNA sequence gaps were filled in with modern animals, thus you get the traits of some. this is explained both in the novels and the films.
True, but in the end you can't deny that there is only so much you can actually learn about dinosaurs from fossils alone.
Admittedly I doubt a dino as massive as Carnotaurus would have chameleon skin changing abilities, but some smaller dinosaurs might have been able to.
You absolutely butchered carnotaurus
@@hugheggs
Frogs in particular. The movie did say they used frog dna to complete the dna strands, they didn’t mention dna of other animals used for the dinosaurs. The indominus Rex however is a very different story, and that was a good 22 years after the first movie.
@@user-eh2mi2oh4h The idea that the carno has camo-skin is actually from the book Jurassic Park: The Lost World itself.
I'll never get over those pain noises.. "HNAAAAGHHHH!"
Or that music. DOO DOO DOOOO DO!
One of my favorite games as a kid. Great playthough, appreciate the commentary/notes without the game being talked over.
Sam Tung Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I played it as a kid and teenager.
14:34 fuck that giant croc scared 😱 the shit 💩 out of me also I think the 24:00 chameleon carnatoraus partly inspired the Indominus Rex
This takes me back. This game was insanely popular at the arcade. I never saw it unmanned at the arcades.
Maybe it is time for The Lost World Jurassic Park to be remastered this time there will be levels based on the scenes from the movie
They did make another version of this game back in the day (The Lost World Special) with scenes from the movie, but the rom/unit for that one is so rare. It's almost impossible to find that version anywhere...
It did exist, so it isn't just a myth. Only time will tell if that version will ever get to see the light of day again...
Good job, I liked that you showed the various paths and what happens if you fail certain events.
TIMEPPF Thanks, I really wanted to show off everything the game has to offer in one (hopefully entertaining) video.
dude this video got everything, all scenes and dinosour trivia!! i love it!
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Yeaah.
Love this game. I found it at the Lost Ark arcade in Greensboro, but only the red gun worked. It has an excellent soundtrack (on real hardware), great graphics, and has a very diverse scoring system. The game was also ahead of its time as the arcade cabinet used sensors on the screen to detect the movement of the guns, which also eliminated the iconic white flash on old school light gun games... however, the guns were notorious for being very problematic and expensive for techs to keep buying.
I replayed the Lost World machine in our Mr. Gatti's arcade, and man... either the sensors on the screen went bad or it's the LCD monitor itself (handling the game's resolution). I can't even shoot the powerbar up top in stage 1. :\
I only ever saw the first Jurassic Park film, but I'm sure this game was more entertaining than the sequel.
Why no love for the second movie? I didn't think it was all that bad, it had its flaws sure, but not terrible...
I hear you on the faulty guns. My local Dave & Busters still has one, and they are constantly trying to do their best to "fix" it whenever a problem arises.
Then again, they bought the recent 2015 Jurassic Park Arcade game... /without/ the moving air-ride system... so.
Never saw the 2nd but I did find another Lost World machine at Monster Mini Golf in Marietta, GA. This is just like the one at Mr. Gatti's except the sensors weren't dead and the game was actually aiming properly. I'd love to come back to play that machine soon.
Conversus W. Vans hey, could I ask for your help on somethin’? I’ve gotten this game on the Model 3 emulator, and once I’m done converting my old HotD cabinet to a Ninja Assault Cabinet, I’m hoping to build a Jurassic Park cabinet, though here’s where I need your help.
I’ve noticed you on a few forums and I’m wondering how I set up two light guns to my PC and get them to work? I’m hoping to get a couple of Aimtrak guns near Christmas and then I could set them both up for the game. If you know how to get them to work, I’d greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks!
Compared to the savage that is the 1994 Jurassic Park game, this one is very easy to 1cc it.
@@houseofthedeadchannel251 Did you ever build that cabinet you were talking about?
It’s a crime that this game never got a home release. There’s going to be generations that grow up without the chance to play as a result
I really hope one day someone can upload The World Special edtion where the San Diego incident is featured.
Sega did too good a job making the T-Rex look scary as hell.
Without a doubt this is the most complete gameplay I've seen, I also liked that you added information about the dinosaurs that appear in the game, good job.
I know this comment is a year old, but just so you know, the pterosaurs (tair-uh-sawrz) or flying reptiles you saw were not dinosaurs.
@@mojo3318Yes, I know, but in those years it was believed that they were.
HEY congratulations on the video, the editing is superb, loved the little easter egg descriptions and trivia of the dinos, taking the time to do the alternate routes of the quicktime events was a great detail, overall an excellent video, extremely well done!
I'm just glad we are only Tranqing the Dinos and not killing them, I also like how the t-rex carries the infant to safety like in the novel.
I feel like this is one of the few good novel based games, granted Lost World is also a movie; but this game takes more from the book.
I was about to say
Yeah man, those high explosive grenade tranqs sure do help subdue the dinos without killing them
That tranq shotgun really does wonders
Killing dinosaurs is good for us because in the modern world people play games about killing dinos
Dude! This is awesome! I always remember passing by these in the arcade but never tried it. This, along with House of the Dead were like the two big games at the arcade.
I love how this game highlights just how brutal a fight with a brontosaurus would be. The thing has a giant jaw and teeth and could bite you in half in two seconds. It could swing its long neck and headbutt you and you would be killed instantly. It can stomp on you or kick you with its giant legs or hit you with a tail swipe.
Hello ! a Man Speaking From Texas.
Thank You So Much "ARWEI0" for Uploading This...
i Remember When i was a Child Me and my Dad Used To Play This Game So Much At a "Dave and Busters" - Location Long Time Ago. and beaten The Game So Many Times ! but Now the Game is Sadly Gone and was Replaced by the Now Famous
"Jurassic Park Arcade 2015" that Arcade was Really Decent, Fun, and intense ! but Honenstly Will at Times never Hold a Candle to This Classic Nostalgic MasterPiece ! 😍
However After it was Gone We Did Find Another Copy Of the Game and Played and Beaten it again at a

I love this game, its part of my childhood. Beautiful old times!
I know this comment is 3 years old, but that's part of my childhood too!
Great work the success and failed sequences.
I literally spent all my tokens playing this each time I went to the arcade. Then I'd play time crisis 2, HotD, the ocean hunter, puttputt golf, water bumper cars, laser tag and crazy taxi xD
Krakenfels Funny, I was thinking about Time Crisis 2 and HotD the other day. Maybe I might have to cover those.
you should those are great! when I returned to the arcade most of those old arcade machines were put in the back in poor condition, some of the light guns weren't as sharp and responsive as they were 15 years ago when I was a little kid. It gives one a solemn feeling.
Krakenfels There was a decent update/remake of Time Crisis 2 to the PS2, enhanced graphics and all that; HotD 2 & 3 were straight ports to the Wii.
There's always that option, instead of shelling out the cash to get an actual arcade unit, hah.
I wouldn't mind buying an arcade unit xD but ya I feel ya
This game is so classic best arcade game
Thanks for the playthrough and trivias. And also for the alternative scenarios. Subbed

Ah man sweet nostalgia. Was probably my favorite arcade game for a long time.
I remember playing this with my dad when I was a little kid, we even completed the game once
I played it by myself when I was a little kid, but didn't finish the game. I did as a teenager when playing it with a friend.
Loved the playthrough and the little details about everything!
Used to play this with my dad in an arcade called "Green star" or "Ngôi sao xanh" in native language. Lots of good memories there.
this was very gentle t-rex
Great LP ( and nice work on the trivia)!
Thanks! Appreciate the comment m8
wow, this takes me back. I use to play this arcade game at Dave & Busters, as well as Chucky Cheeses. Good memories.
They had it at Dave & Busters? I never knew that, I only ever saw it at Chuck E. Cheese. That is interesting.
Yeaahh.
Okk.
I know this comment is 5 years old, but I played it at the Amazing Pizza Machine! Also, I went to Chuck E Cheese's when I was little! There's one in my town and that place has changed a little.
I have a story about this game,
When I was nine I played this game at the local Dave And Busters, I was trying to save a guy from some raptors but I ended up killing him instead, I know it was just a game but I actually felt guilty, because I killed someone I was trying to save
Shark fan of the sea I always felt the same way. Or equally as bad if I shot him by accident
Shark fan of the sea I just got mad at the game when I killed a civilian.
It's kinda funny how Chameleons and Carnotaurs were mixed togeather, but then again Dilophasaurs were givena frilled neck and a spitting ability. Also I wonder if the brown and green raptors were meant to be different breeds, or if they were just recoloured and had new noises added to them (brown raptors snarled, green raptors hissed), just so the player didn't feel like they were shooting the same dino forever (even thought that's what you ended up doing anyway)
Demonizer68 I think it's to differentiate between make and female raptors, but that too is a good possibility as well.
The idea is that we don’t know everything about dinosaurs. If we cloned some back to life it’s likely some would be able to do things we didn’t know they could just from the fossil record
Or they could suffer from side mutations caused by them being hybrids
Nice video well edited
Thanks! Appreciate it.
This video was publicated in my birthday 😎
This sure was an amazing game for it's time! Bummer that it never got a console release at all. I know a Dreamcast port was planned, but sadly ended up being cancelled, probably at least mostly due to the system's short (but also sweet) lifespan. Good thing I can now play it at home on my Arcade One system, even if I unfortunately can't play it with two players, due to both of them sharing the same fire button. That of which makes it virtually unplayable with two people that way unfortunately.
i've been waiting for this im so excited!
One thing I found a bit funny with the 'Carnotar' fight is how when you nail all the shots it sounds like "Ooww-ooo" instead of a 'pained-roar/howl' And I was questioning its chameleon-like ability, as I'd seen Carnotars in another Jurassic Park game, as well as JP3 and that Disney movie Dinosaur (with the Iguanadons).
And despite the 'eww' moment you missed a Jeff Golbum line...
Cannot remember exactly what the people behind Dinosaurs said, but it was something along the lines of combining the T-rex and the Canotaurus into one thing. Hence why it may have some T-rex like features like size for example.
All about the game and dinosaurs in this video.
I've missed these old arcade games way backed in 90's and 2000 there.
I was born on September 23rd, 1997. I truly miss the 2000s era very much.
This video is educational and entertaining! I'll have to go back to some parts of the video and read more of the information about these animals. Dilophosaurus, in real life, did not have retractable frills or blinding venom. They had sharp claws for tearing prey apart. Since one of the tyrannosaurus was a female, it was a tyrannosaurus regina, which means "tyrant lizard queen". I didn't know the sauropods in the game were mamenchisaurus and I've never heard of Geosternbergia. I didn't encounter them in the game. By the way, I played this game by myself and with a friend! We failed at cracking the code and I failed at rescuing the triceratops. That game was awesome! I liked the music in it. Also, I shared this video with someone. Thank you for the video!
This was so much of my childhood. I absolutely Love this game

I played this so many times with my mom in the Arcade when i was a child and this bring me a lot of memories from those days. I will check your other videos!
Bruh, I remember the Carnotaurus and Deinosuchus from my childhood. This brings back memories.
Love your adding of dinosaur facts as you're playing. Quite knowledgeable.

It's especially awesome when one likes the game alot, revisits it and gets that "finally" moment.
This game, the original and Sega's Ocean Hunter are the three titles I have always wanted the original machines for, and im talking the full size sit down ones.
Seriously one of the best rail shooters that aged extremely well.
I’ve seen it back at the Whittier Village Cinema
First time I played this was on a trip to Greece with my Parents. The camping site we were at had a shopping area, where there also was a Jurassic Park Arcade. My cousin and I spent all of our holliday money on that game. Good times, makes me miss the old Arcade machines, it is sad Arcades are dying :(

I always fail to see why the Pachys sound like the Rexes.
3:14 unless you get those power ups like the shot gun
There exist Non-Lethal rounds for Shotguns and Grenade Launchers.
And lightning bolt, this game predates Raw Thrills' game where it had a freeze gun that can shatter dinosaurs to death even if it's a non-lethal gun.
Loved this!
Love your videos buddy! 😊
One game that got left in the arcade by SEGA. I could argue that this game is at least as good as HotD 2, if not better.
I guess the royalty cut make it too risky for the port which lead to their cancellation.
That's some neck-breaking, stopping power you got there with the tranquilizer gun.
They should be fiiiine...

8:33 That was explained in the book as well; since they used bullfrog DNA 🧬 to complete the sequence for T-Rex, it's vision too became based on movement. 🙂
The human death screams are so funny for some reason.😂

ryo tadagachi As far as other Jurassic Park games? Sure, there's alot of them that were released on various consoles over the years.
Jurassic Park III arcade? Might take awhile. I'm looking into if it's even able to run on an emulator properly or not at the moment.
Other arcade shooters are a possibility as well. A couple more are planned, that's for sure. I did one on Ghost Squad awhile back if you feel like checking it out.
