Mary, have a blow - you deserve it! Oh My, Ollie boy is SO cute!!! We named our Dog Ozzy because when we got him from the rescue pound, he had this 'manic' crazy look like Ozzy Ozbourne ha ha, and tbh he has lived up to his name sake because he is so laid back and easy going (but not as bright as your Ollie getting his treat)

First I’d like to just say that I am so honored and delighted to be on this journey with you, Peter and Ollie!! Since following your daily vlogs my outlook has been much more positive as I just keep repeating your positive and inspirational words!! Thank you Mary !! And I thank Peter and precious Ollie boy too for each and every moment of happiness they input as well.

Mary, try a HEPA filter; even if you're not allergic, we have soooo much pollen and mold down here, I would think it would overwhelm someone with delicate lungs. At least, ask your doctor about it. I hope you feel better soon!
I think I'm not feeling to bad, until I have to do something energetic, like climbing stairs. It's really hard sometimes. Really frustrating. Wishing you well.
Mary even healthy people have days when their bodies need rest. You felt good so you over did it! You are going to have bad days even if the medication is working. Take it easy young lady!

Hey Peter and Mary: Thought you may want to consider snake avoidance training for Oliver. He’s so smart and would no doubt learn quickly. Living in NC with a heavily wooded backyard you will no doubt see some copperheads. Not something you want Ollie getting into! Love your new home and so happy for you all. Be well!
I have chronic illnesses and I know those of us with them, when we have good days, we definitely tend to over do it. Because we get so excited that we feel good and don’t want to waste it. Just remember that we still need to take time to rest even if we don’t want to. I think it’s amazing Mary, that you did as much as you did for two weeks, traveling included. Even healthy people crash sooner or later. Love your nails, now I want to do mine. Lol

Ollie is so smart. My hubby and I moved into a 4 year old house (this was 17 years ago). The house had been painted by the previous owner who did not remove any of the switch plates, paper holders, etc. After they moved out we discovered they did not move ANY of the furniture when they painted either. She went around beds, entertainment center, washer and dryer. We had to have the entire house painted. We are now getting ready to renovate (for the 1st time). And you are so right. It is HARD to make all those decisions. We've been shopping for it for over a year now. My husband has done A LOT of research on all aspects of the work we want to do. I think we will finally be getting started in October. I really like the finishes in your house.

Currently work as an LPN and working towards advancing to my RN. You guys teach me so much about Cystic Fibrosis and I am sure if I ever get a patient with CF, I would be able to take that much better care of them thanks to you two

Peter, fyi, if you put vinegar in a crockpot on low and put painted hardware in it for a few hours, the paint will literally come right off, no scraping at all.
I completely understand the flip flop! I don’t have CF , I have MS.

Many lung patients get ill after getting their nails done, in those nail salons, as beautiful as they make nails look, they have toxins, that aren't good for lungs. Take care sweet Mary. There are toxin and odor free polishes, they are lovely.

Sorry you are not feeling so good. You have done a lot lately. With my illness I was told not to go mad on a good day as you will pay for it the next day and maybe the next. I am guilty of doing just that. Just take it easy and give your body a chance to recover. Love and hugs to you all.xxxx
My husband is a groomer in Durham, I told him if he gets lucky and meets him to get me a pic haha. I have a miniature poodle 🐩 they are the best 💕 🥰

It looks like the refrigerator door has been hung to open on the wrong side. I bet handy Peter could swap the hinge to the other side. This way you can use the counter on the right hand side to place things coming in and out of the frig. Love you three!!!

Your right! We just added onto our house. It took about a year. We added a new kitchen, living room, master bedroom with a master bath. I was going crazy trying to pick everything out to match. For one thing nothing was together. I was picking things out one piece at a time with nothing else presents at the same time. It was so hard. Didn’t really know what I was doing. Just knew I wanted cool tone farmhouse grays. Being that I was a hairstylist for 27 years I could see warn and cool tone. My husband would look at me crazy when I would say “ nope that has to much tan in it” But in the end he’s always saying “I really don’t know how you did that!” It turned out beautiful.

Perhaps you pushed your body just a little too hard in your joy of feeling so much better. But you had a wonderful time for your birthday. May just have to learn to limit your activities a little, resting more in between. Congrats on the 6 years. I've only been along for a couple of them but you have really captured my heart.
Ollie makes me laugh! My service dog is of the mind to do as little as possible when getting me a drink in my mini fridge. He pulls and shuts the door numerous times before getting my drink. He is still learning this task though. Roomba is a life saver for someone with chronic illness. I have spinal,diseases that prevent me from suing a vacuum and it does it for me!

When you put the camera on the kitchen counter and talked it gave a good picture of the fridge/other rooms and you were talking about how the countertops just matched. When I seen that shot..you showed the countertops then set the camera down. Wow. Beautiful the whole house matches. Did you notice that!!?? I didn't till today. Wow. Well I'm sure you have. Your body just needed a little rest. I have MCTD, which is a rare auto-immune. When I feel good I always overdo. There's so much I have to do and so much I want to do, that I try to do it all, because ya know its comin. That day or week or however long, when your going to be down for the count. I am so happy you were able to get a drug that is such a game changer for you. I wish you many more energy filled, good feeling days!!
Did yall return the dented the toaster oven? I hope so because u deserve things to be easy and simply. And just from experience of not wanting to go thru a hassle of getting my huge very heavy deep freeze back out of a tight space ( door going into my den) i just decided to keep it even though it had a big dent in the side of it. So i just decided to keep it and less than 3 months later it starts to make a awful noise from the back.( the dented area had actually caused a area where the motor is located in the back to get a metal part dented in and causes the fan motor to hit that and it sounds awful .so lesson learned i will return anything if it is damaged even slightly. Now it is too late because im sure lowes would think i did it since i didnt return asap.( i was battling cervical cancer and just didnt have the strength to worry with it.)
We’ve just finished building our first house. I found making decisions for the house really easy what was difficult was when my husband didn’t like the look of things so he would add in things and we would end up picking what I had originally suggested. Then the builder second guessed my choice now we are in (with all my original choices) everyone that comes loves the choices we made
Mary when you were talking in the kitchen I noticed that the fridge needs to be moved over against the cabinet. Plus it will look much better and look be lined up with the upper cabinet too.
With my immune disorders I have had such a hard time finding a church since we moved to FL. It is so hard to get up and get dressed in the morning. I still try to go but the struggle is real. I am sorry you have to go through this too. I hope you start feeling better again soon.
Come to a happy medium with your body, stay consistent...just don’t run anymore marathons, it’s the best way to prepare your body for stability.

Mary don’t get discouraged. You have to take into consideration you are at a different elevation I’m sure. Then the heat and humidity is worse at your new home.find a real fairy to chase the crud away. When feeling bad hold on to it and say a prayer while rubbing its belly. 🧚♀️

Ollie was sooooo sweet while trying to find his treats. He kept shutting the door and wondering what to do next. Loved him getting his reward! MARY, you guys have to do a portion of your vlog with your new family member at work. Do a high speed video of your vaccuum cleaning the floor. That would be cool and funny. We don't use quilts in Southern California. There is never a need for one. I love your new home except for too much white. I would add a little color somewhere. I love dark oak cabinets in the kitchen and carpeting in most rooms. That tells you that I'm out of style, lol, but I like what I like. My dream home is cabin themed with lots of paneling and fireplaces. I do love the layout of your home and I adore the trees outside of your windows. NC must be breathtakingly beautiful!

I had the same thing with my (rental) apartment. The previous owner lived there maybe a year and a half and bought everything new. The only thing I had to do was get my furniture in and start living. So grateful I didn't have to choose things.
Our friend with IPF (now has a lung transplant) was told to NOT use "down" anything. Anyone can have a sensitivity to bird feathers/dander/anything bird which of course damages lungs in those with a sensitivity. Our friend didn't test positive, but the pulmonologist said still get rid of all "down" items.
A down comforter will work great but a different cover will be a better option, such as a 100% bamboo cotton cover for the down comforter. It is expensive but so worth the investment! You can find them on clearance at bed bath and beyond every once in a while but very much worth it!
My bag of potato chips that I bought today had the weird smile on it. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it was strange/creepy. Love Ollie. He is so smart.
