Thanks a million for the well done video. Your explanation of a single wire thermocouple using the stove chassis as a return for the thermocouple electric signal was a perfect explanation in that it requires the thermocouple to be tightly and cleanly bolted down to the burner. The nut was loose and so tightening it resolved the return signal to the gas valve. Works perfectly now! Many thx
Glad it helped you What would really help me to get my video seen as I'm no IT expert is to either share the channel or at least post it to your friends my videos might not be RUclips superstars, but they save Appliances from the scrapheap. Absolute brilliant video, not sure but your videos keep coming up in my YT feed. Anyhow, had an issue with one of our burners not staying lit, after watching your video I went to the said burner and first thing I noticed was the thermocouple was slightly higher than the flame itself, so I knocked it down with a couple of taps and what do you know - the flame now stays lit! save ourselves I'd say maybe £150 with a callout and paying for a part we didn't need! Thank you :D

❤ this happened to my grill from the very beginning but i bought it during lockdown so i was on my own. But a council boiler checker came round and i asked him about it and he slapped a 'condemned' paper on it. He didnt test it. Didnt even touch it. Is that legal? I wanted to how to mend it was all.

Make sure the FSD is in the flame the same as the others if this does not work check pipe From the FSD going to the gas app, you may have a loose connection if none of these then you may have a duff valve on the burner
@@How-to-repair thanks for your reply. It’s been quite helpful. I’m happy to say my 5 burners are lighting fully and perfectly. Thank you so much 😊🙏it’s not everyday you get some good info that actually helps 🙂
I am in Ecuador and have a gas stove. The large burner has always been an issue. The flame will light but after a short time will go out and I cannot get the flame again. I have to wait. Then its the same thing over and over. Also I have another burner that clicked constantly for several hours then stopped. Any suggestions?

There is also a non electrical capillary type with a small tube that uses liquid expansion to operate the valve.

What if we connect the sensor wires directly to each other? Will it let the valve open? As a bypass
Please reply
