Mo looks invigorated. Not that he was bad last season not at all, but he just looks so energetic and sharp.
He needs to improve and be less selfish and do more of his world class through balls when the opportunity arrives. He's a legend still....

The number of other fan channels blindly dismissing some of our players is shocking. All you hear is comments like "yeah Carvalho done ok but he isn't good enough and he'll be nowhere near the squad." WHAT?! How can you be so dismissive when Slot has clearly said it's a clean slate for every player. If you actually listen to those words, and judge the squad on form, that statement is completely invalid. If it's a clean slate, he's one of the first makes on the teamsheet right now! That's just a fact. I know our 2 boys are still to come back, but if it's done fairly they need to fight for their place back from him! He's more than proven that he has enough quality to get a fair shot. He's earned it.
Another thing, is that he's MUCH more dangerous than Diaz. He's way more clinical and decisive in the final 3rd.
Put it this way, if Carvalho had just signed 2 weeks ago and was playing like he is now, all of the same fan channels would be drooling over him and saying "what a player we've signed lads." That's a 100% fact.
The thing is tho. We didn't sign him 2 weeks ago...you can't blame fans for being skeptical

Also it's become pretty clear Klopp didn't appreciate having other people pick his signings either. If he felt a player was forced upon him he would simply not use him, for no better reason than spite. Klopp did get the last word, but some times that last word wasn't should we sign a player, yes no? It was simply which one of these do you prefer. From recent reports it seemed like Klopp didn't have a good relationship with the people responsible of signing players at all, and barely talked to them. He didn't really care what they did at the end of the day since he didn't get to buy the players he thought would become a success. Like he wanted Julian Brandt instead of Salah. Klopp wasn't interested in Salah. That was at the very start of his Liverpool career. He didn't like it but he bite his tongue. At the end of his career, he had no issues throwing a tantrum and the way he did that was simply not use the players he got if it was "pick one of these" and he didn't like any of them. Aka Carvalho.

About Mo Salah remember he said in an interview before he signed the new deal, he said IT'S IN LIVERPOOL'S HANDS and he was a target for the money league (Saudi Pro league) he didn't leave or shown signs that he's going to leave as well, so if Liverpool offers him another deal at ANFIELD I personally think he'll consider staying a bit longer (but it's only my opinion here).

I can say with confidence that before the summer transfer window ends-
1) We will sign a DM- (my preference is Morten Frendrup/Ederson)
2) We will sign a Centre Back- (my preference is Nico Schlotterbeck/Edmond Tapsoba/Piero Hincapie)
3) We will extend contracts of Trent until 2029, van Dijk & Salah until 2027
I don't think we will sign an attacker this summer.

carvalho has performed well in pre season and seems to be a player slot likes so I don’t agree with some of these fan channels saying they weren’t working with him in training and just shoved him off to the side that’s wrong they were constantly on at fabio wanting him to make the right decisions so I believe he could be a valuable squad player next season for Liverpool
Will be in the Kop for the last pre-season game against Sevilla, Slot's first in charge at Anfield. Looking forward to seeing the crowd reaction and how Slotball works with our senior squad back in action.
Love hearing your thoughts and theories before and after games. Insightful and thoughtful as always. I'm excited at what we can do this season. I'm really hoping that Jones and Elliott fully break through this season. It's hard when we have so many great players.

The Curtis jones was brilliant. They were playing out of the back and we really seen the double pivot shine. The back four, jones and the goalie were really getting pressed hard and grav popped in got the ball turned and we were off to the races. I’m loving slot ball.
If we can avoid conceding the first goal that will be massive.hopefully that's the main improvement slot can make.
Seeing the younger ones come on at the end pinging the ball about effectively with ease like man utd were caught in a spiders web. Fabulous stuff.
Graven is so silky, classy and press resistant. Very aggressive passer and dangerous… once again, Bajcetic + Morton totally shut down the opponents. In 3 games… in tandem, they do not give up any big chances!
Look a bit shaky playing out from the back at the moment (incredibly early days), but we’ve looked so so much more deadly in attack somehow. Not sure we know what the true Slot style is yet but feels sharper and a bit more creative.
Maybe it’s just that the players are all eager to be part of the plan and are feeling fresh and excited

I see that the biggest change between klop and slot is now Liverpool defends with all the players except Salah, and this is very impressive, and will make the winning percentage rise and give the team the confidence that they lacked the last 3 seasons

I admire Salah's dedication and discipline but my pessimistic side always remembers the dips he falls into late in the seasons prior.
there's no AFCON this year, so very likely he ends the season well. Usually AFCON wears him out a lot and he always looks rusty coming back from it.

I think that's slightly misleading. Pre-season isn't about having a "solid" game, it's about learning in a real game scenario and seeing what problems need to be solved. These two managers know each other well and United will have been trying to get into this area to shoot. It seemed pretty clear to me.
I don't put much on these just thought the score was a bit unfair on United and to me these games are all about Arne having a chance to look at the player's and to see who can play in the way Arne wants to set up the way LFC play

The idea that what happens with Salah is a club decision is laughable. If he wants to go to SA then it'll almost certainly happen, if he doesn't then it definitely won't. All down to what he wants to do, the club has little to do with it.

Love the videos mate but can’t understand your opinion on van dijk we don’t need a understudy to van dijk he’s 33 why are we looking to transition past him when you look at what the top prem CBs over the years who read the game so well like Virgil such as Thiago silva and Terry did in the prem then that is still young for one of the best CBs of all time and he’s like salah in that he’s never injured and plays every game so not much point in having a top class understudy to just sit on the bench . He’s still the best CB in the world and club captain our main goal should be to sign him to a new 4/5 year deal and have him spear head the new slot era as club captain who’s already won it all
That's great as a sentiment and I would always love players to stay but we also need a succession plan, that is clear. Maybe we already have one.

I can also see the cause to let Diaz go and bring in Gordon because I just feel although Diaz is probably as talented as Gordon I think he just would have a higher output and could lock down our LW roll for the next 8-10 years however I struggle to see a club willing to pay what we want for Diaz
Man Utd totally outplayed Liverpool in first half.....Liverpool midfield was overrun and the defence could not get out in the first half....Jones cannot fit this system....Elliot is too light....liverpool need a strong defensive midfielder to play slots system...they should sell Van de Berg, Carvahlio, Jones and Elliot ....buy 2 midfielders, a centre half and another forward...

Let’s be honest, United created half chances and limited probability chances which Liverpool smothered. I think LFC did take some risks but most managers do now. It’s not a perfect system because they’ve only played it for 2 weeks or so but I think better teams and better prepared teams will try to do what United tried and it might be a different result. Typically, of late, Liverpool have won the games (and the cups) that don't matter and failed when it comes to the ones that DO matter.
My take on this, and the whole pre-season, is that the team needs a defensive midfielder at the very least. Playing like this will convince FSG that the team is in good shape and no money need be spent on transfers - and we will see the consequences in the real competitions..
